This is located with a shared, busy parking lot with a laundromat, Asian market, Chinese and Thai…read morerestaurants. After making a trek to another Eastern European market down in Tacoma the day before, now it was time to visit European Grocery in Everett on 3/2/25. Pro tip: Don't be intimidated by the stoic, standoffish staff at the deli counter or the register. Enjoy the culinary experience wandering their grocery aisles and remember your shopping bag(s) to package up your purchases. Because I had also stocked up at the other market in Tacoma, I noticed similarities in the product availability. However, I was able to find other things of interest especially in the smoked meats, condiments, chocolates, and biscuits areas. I enjoyed looking closely at their wine and spirits section...unique labels I would not find at my usual Ravenna wine shop in Seattle. Thanks to Heather, fellow Yelp Elite, for putting European Grocery on my radar screen!

My family and I have not experienced anything close to that at this store. Both the men and women were very helpful, let me admire their produce and culture (even let me take pictures and videos) & eagerly answered the few questions I did have. We had such an enjoyable experience that we came back the next day to buy more food & sweet treats. In regard to the ambiance, this grocery store isn't the biggest by any means. It's about the size of a NY bodega/convenience store, so don't expect to be able to find any and everything you usually can at other places. However their produce is fresh & all the meat, cheese and dessert products we have tried were all very good (certainly much healthier than the preservative and filler packed foods you'll find at your local WalMart, QFC, etc). I thoroughly enjoyed my first European market experience & can't wait to come back, as well as visit other stores.

This is a smaller neighborhood Asian grocery that really does a pretty good job with providing the necessary ingredients you won't find at Safeway. Yes the bigger proliferating giant Asian markets might be worth the drive for larger needs. I shop at them regularly. But this place has specialized produce, meats, seafood, and packaged goods to solve your list needs. I noticed that they have large pork belly portions for when you want to do a Lechon roast. I'm getting one of those soon for me rotisserie. I'm looking forward to ordering a Bahn mi or at least taking home some of their fresh baguette soon. Last night I was too full of noodles to care. BUT the fresh made kimchee is amongst the best I've had including local restaurants and H Mart!!! It's exceptionally heavy in garlic and seasoning without being too spicy. Koreans may not care for this but it's my version of Asian crack! Can't quit eating it day and night when I have done and I notice there is none left over later to make soup with! At $4.99 for a standard tub it's affordable and really tasty. Even as a cooking ingredient.

However, we were impressed by the variety of Chinese medicine they carry, and some items were quite cost-effective, such as the turmeric powder. The facility was not as new, clean, or well-decorated as T&T or H-Mart, but it was a good place to shop for Chinese herbs. Parking was easy, as there was a parking lot.

This market is farther than Evergreen Asian Market from where I live, but I prefer to stop here…read morefirst for what I need. There is an amazing selection of meat, fish, and vegetables here. Every time I visit, I pick up a fruit or vegetable that I haven't tried before. Today it was a small Korean melon with bright yellow skin. The guys who work the fish counter are personable and knowledgeable. The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. Every once and a while you'll find one that is past it's prime.

In short Another great taqueria in or near Muk. This one…read morepushes harder to bring the proteins to life and run more specials, but I'm not sure if they have tons of salsas. The one I had was awesome, though. *Bring cash to tip*. No tip line on the card reader since this is first a grocery store. In long This wasn't gonna be taqueria week but it kinda turned out that way, and they're all great in slightly different ways. On a similar but unrelated note: This particular parking lot probably wasn't designated for almost all the restaurants to be at least really interesting, either, but hey...that also kinda turned out to be the case. You can get croissants, lumpia, brunch a couple places, and other stuff done really well at neighboring places here. Teto's steps in with shelves of groceries, coolers of Mexican sodas, a tiny dining room, a fantastic meat case if you're making tacos, and a really kickass little kitchen in back. Chances are if your Spanish is as rusty as mine, you probably want to order from the cashier up front. The abuelita doing the cooking can probably decipher even bad Spanish (which I speak), but it goes faster if dude steps down the aisle to help translate for you. I gotta say that the staff here is relaxed and happy--they're very ready to jump in with super-cheerful service. You can almost tell before you order that they're used to pretty much everyone loving the food. You can see tacos, burritos, and tamales on the posted menu, and there are specials, too. One of them today was caldo de res, and I was so wishing I was hungrier, 'cause I already had my heart set on tacos and a tamal...but that soup sounded so good. I *did* see a dude in the corner going to town on the caldo, loving it so much he was almost dunking his nose in it. Gonna hafta get that next time it's on the specials board. I got a carnitas and an adobada taco, and both of them were explosively flavorful. Huge flavors bursting from the seasonings they used on each kind of pork, plus crunchy fried onions on one. Plenty of cilantro and fresh onion, too. The lime wedge they give you has real life to it, which you, uh, just don't always see everywhere. Dude brought over a little dish of green creamy salsa, which added tons of flavor but was maybe less spicy than the porks. Note: The tacos come out HOT from the plancha. You just feel loved by food here. I got a raja tamal, which was excellent. The masa was a tiny bit drier at the bottom but a good tamal is just a great treat, especially up here. A couple places in Seattle are slightly more impressive with their tamales, but if you're up here craving one, this more than satisfies. Cold Jarritos on the table completed the meal. I was bummed I couldn't tip! Prices here are beyond reasonable. I'm not surprised to have seen 4 other tables taken in the middle of the afternoon on a work day. These guys know what's up.

I've never been to a grocery like this and to find tons of spices I've never used and a plethora of prepackaged Indian food was like going to Disney for the first time. The friendly clerk was very helpful when we asked where we could find the spices we needed. Prices seemed to be good, if not great. There's a case of ready made snacks/desserts up front and a selection of fresh veggies and bags of basmati rice in the back. I took a delicious rose water lassi for the road from another cold case and my husband tried a salted one. Highly recommend if you need supplies to make your own palak paneer or just want to find some premade in the freezer section! We also found some delicious snacks that we've never tried before. Since it was my first time here, I had to explore the aisles of goods I was interested in. The one and only staff was very kind to show me where things are and explained they are also organizing the store. She was genuinely kind to explain some things to me and even gave me pointers how to make my snacks more enjoyable. I like that! They have a lot to offer from Indian to Pakistan goods as well.
