Nice hot sauce selection, dried peppers, beverages, pan dulce, and meats and cheeses. The store isn't very large and aisles are short and tight, but selves are well stocked and organized. There is also hot food in the back, like a small restaurant. The food is buffet style so you just walk up to the counter and let the server know what you want. I got a chili relleno with rice and beans. I also got some of their carnitas. The chili relleno was delicious and made in the traditional way. I really enjoyed eating that. Rice and beans were not the best that I had, but were decent. Their tamales are also very good. They are seasoned well and the masa is tender. I wish I had something positive to say about the carnitas, but I don't. That was my least favorite. They were very dry and almost crispy when I had them and lacked flavor. I might have come on a bad day for those. If you want cabeza, they have that there a part of the buffet as well. There is parking available on the south side of the building and in the back. The owner is super nice, friendly, and helpful. I was looking for a specific hot sauce for my sister and asked him about it. He didn't have the brand I was looking for, but recommended a similar one. I trusted his rec and bought it. My sister loves it and now she has a new favorite and wants more. Great place to support!

I'm honestly disappointed to write this review…read more I've been shopping at Goodies for about six months now. They sell dukkah (along with other condiments and seasonings) that are hard for me to find, which saves me the time of making them myself. I've also been buying my lamb from them. On July 3, I purchased two packs of lamb chops. One pack was perfectly fine, but the other was clearly spoiled. I still cooked the good pack, but it wasn't enough for everyone to have. I've been cooking lamb for years--I know how it should smell and how it should look. This meat was off. I called the next day to let them know, and they told me they would replace it. I explained that I live over an hour away, so I wouldn't be able to come back until I was in the area again. They assured me they would still honor the exchange. When I came in today, I was met with so much rudeness that I was honestly shocked. I felt embarrassed by the way I was treated. I had really enjoyed supporting this small business up until this point. Because I was so shaken by the interaction, I didn't even realize until I got home that I had originally purchased a six-pack of lamb chops, but I was only given a four-pack in exchange. When I returned the spoiled meat, the woman behind the counter insisted she would "never sell meat like that." I tried to show her the timestamped photo I had taken of the meat when I purchased it, but she refused to even look at it. At one point she said she "didn't know what my deal was," and then suggested it was somehow my refrigerator's fault before asking, rather dismissively, "Well, what do you want?" I'm a very understanding person. When you're selling raw meat, sometimes things happen. Products can spoil. I wasn't looking for an argument--I simply expected for the issue to be handled professionally and with kindness. Instead, I was treated as though I was trying to cause a problem. I'm sure many people will continue to shop here without issue. However, left feeling like I wasn't afforded the same courtesy or respect that other customers might have received. Maybe I would have been treated differently had I looked different. I can't say that for certain, but I also can't think of another reason I was met with such hostility when I approached the situation politely and respectfully from the very beginning. No customer should leave feeling the way I did. The top pack of lamb pictured was perfect. The bottom pack smelled bad and was greenish in person. As you can see via time stamp - I purchased the lamb on the 3rd and began to cook it on the 4th of July.

My wife and I experienced Ever's Food Truck while at Crucible Brewery…read more Ever's is expensive for a food truck and charges 10% sales tax when the sales tax in Everett is 9.8%. Irritating. Orders are placed at the truck window. Rather than invest in pagers like most other food trucks, we were advised to return in 10-15 minutes to pick our order up. My wife ordered the Quesadilla (Combo #4) for $9.99: meat choice was Al pastor and served with a side of beans. The quesadilla was okay in taste, a bit heavy handed with pineapple and greasy. I ordered the Big Burrito (Combo #3) for $10.99: meat choice was carnitas, rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. I was happy with my menu choice. Matter of fact, my wife and I shared my burrito and ended up wasting the quesadilla. Meals are served on awful Styrofoam plate-ware. Come on Ever's, there are many better choices than non-recyclable Styrofoam. The most memorable thing about Ever's is their delicious spicy red sauce. I could drink this sauce up. My wife preferred the avocado salsa over the red salsa. Overall, I'm glad we were able to experience Ever's; however, Ever's is not my favorite food truck to date.
