The star of the show were the sides though - the mac and cheese had a bit of spice to it and was slightly tomato based, and the mashed potato salad I LITERALLY wrote home about and told my mom and my aunt immediately, some of the best I've ever had. It's a little bit of Country when you walk in and the bluegrass music playing definitely puts you in the mood. The guy serving looked a little rough but he was very kind. Don't judge a book by its cover. Ordered the Sliced Brisket Sandwich. Two things I wished were different: 1) I wished it was a potato roll & 2) I wished the onions that came with it were pickled. Those are my only two complaints because everything else was FIRE!! The Cole Slaw was nice & crunchy and not too mayonaisey at all. The pickles weren't so sour...I like that. The BBQ sauce, GREAT viscosity and even greater flavor! And the brisket...CHILD!!!...AH-MAZ-INGGGGG!!! Some might argue that there was too much fat cap left on but fat is flavor! It was perfect! Perfectly seasoned and still held up when I picked it up. PERFECTLY smoked. Not over done or underdone. I just loved it! Looking forward to coming back & trying errrrthang!

The only thing to note is that when you upgrade to the two-meat option, especially if you choose Kalbi, there's an extra charge and you only get one piece. While it's a pricier meal, all the food that you get is well worth it. I really loved how many different kind of meat, seafood, veggies, and more that they have. The fact that it's all on skewers makes cooking and eating easy. It's truly such a wonderful dining experience. We came with a large party of 11 and we were more than satisfied. Everything was delicious and I love how easy it is to get more skewers on your own. They also have a large selection of drinks from soy milk to herbal teas. In the end, you also get ice cream although the flavors are pretty basic here. Note that if you pay in cash, you get free durian, which is nice and creamy.

We got the hotpot and skewers combo and the experience was quite nice and different. We ordered the soup base for hotpot with the workers and the skewers as well. All the hotpot items are in the fridge in the back along with the drinks which is also included in the price (all you can drink). We ordered skewers and whatever offerings that came with this option and then went to get stuff for hotpot. I think they have a good enough variety and the fun part is to put the sticks in the hotpot and eat off of it as well. WIth the skewers options, I think each person gets a scallop with vermicelli but we didnt know and we asked for seconds (whooops). the lady was nice enough to give it to us anyway. The workers are super attentive and very helpful. As for drink options, they have a variety of sodas, wong lo jie, fruity drinks. I was def happy even though I tried not to drink too much. They also have "snacks" on the back side by the drink fridge that you can help yourself to. Will definitely be back to try the grilll fish option!

The greens were much spicier than I expected, so I couldn't really enjoy them. The mac and cheese also had a lot of black pepper and felt a little overdone. We ordered a family meal plus one regular meal, and there was plenty of food. The cornbread portion was surprisingly small, though. On a positive note, the service was great, and everything was packaged very well for takeout.

But once they seated us they immediately gave us menus and told us what items they didn't have thaf evening like the salmon and candies bacon. We weren't going to order that anyway so that wasn't an issue. My husband and I split a trinity platter which was sausage, brisket, and ribs. My husband also got a side of sweet corn. The food came relatively quick. So the barbecue was ok, not the best or the worse we never had. We've been spoiled by good Texas barbecue and probably even Dinosaur barbecue out in Harlem. However, if you're in the area already and wanted barbecue this isnt a bad place to go. The sausage had lots of flavor but it was entirely too salty, almost painfully so. The brisket was average and needed tge sauce for flavor. The best were the ribs. It wasn't fall off the bone, had some chew and was still tender. There wasn't a lot of smoke flavor on the meat, just a hint. The pickle and cornbread help cut the fat. My husband said the corn was ok. We were surprised that it came as a corn on the cob and covered with light mayonnaise and seasoning.

It feels like a great potato chip alternative. So light and crispy. Also really enjoy the BBQ Eggplant. I didn't speak Chinese with the workers, but simply pointing at the menu and stating the quantity of skewers I wanted worked perfectly. I will note, I am surprised by the lack of pork options.
