I know I have already wrote a review but I think I have nail fungus now. On my right pointer finger their is a dark spot in the middle of it. I went to the doctor and he said it was fungus. I have never had nail fungus and it doesn't run in the family sooo. Also the nail layers separated. Their is a gap between my nail and this squishy layer and dirt always gets stuck there. I am a longtime customer of this salon & have never had an issue until now...there is a male tech who sits in the front on the right who does a terrible job on pedicures. I have had him twice now and I will avoid him from now on..he doesn't file the nails smooth, pushed down cuticles on one foot only, did not rinse the scrub cleanser off very well, legs were sticky, didn't cleanup polish that was on skin around nail & didn't cover entire nail with polish on several of my toes. When I called & talked to the manager after I got home he told me to just refuse him next time...no how about you have talk with your employee & tell him to straighten up his act. read more

Went with a wedding party for mani-pedi's... had two little girls with us that got the child's pedicure. We had called a month ahead of time and given a headcount (there were 7 ladies and 2 children) so they could plan to have extra techs. We went on a Monday. The bride, one bridesmaid and one of the children went when we got there. The rest of us waited... and waited.... and waited... MY manicure was excellent, got the shellac in "Bubble Bath" for a neutral look. Looked great, the nail tech (Thang) was very professional and did an excellent job. Decent price. My pedicure-an hour and a half after we got there (with reservations called in a month in advance), they finally turned on the pedicure chair for me and I stuck my feet in. My pedicure was ok-they charge $5 for callus removal (and I didn't think I had any, my feet were in good shape thank you!), but I got charged for that. I was disappointed in the foot massage. Three an a half hours later-we were checking out. Turns out the little girls pedicures (which were just "fun" with some polish, were FULL PRICE just like the adults. The bride (and mother of one of the little girls) had the gel acrylic french tips put on and we didn't notice till we had left-that one of her nails was different-it had a different shape than the rest of her nails... and the white was jagged. Don't bother with the older man, if you get him leave. I show himed the plastic hand example and said this is the shape and length and look that I want. I said I wanted to be sure the shape "curved" over the side of my nails (which it didn't see the photo) and he thought I wanted curved filed nails. When I saw the shape was curved and told him I wanted squared nails like the plastic hand he got so miffed that he didn't even let my nails try in the light, hence the messed up thumb. I couldn't wait to get out of there! At least avoid the older man if you go there, but there are better salons in the area! read more

I went to Hollywood nails today since my nail tech went on vacation. My nail broke thanksgiving night and it was really irritating me I can't stand a broken nail. The older lady greeting me and I told informed her about the broken nail she said the price will be $10.00 I'm thinking to myself $10.00 for one damn nail. I went to have a pedicure there. The place was nice and very clean. However, my nail polish came off toe of my toenails within the 1st week !! The tech only put a thin layer of clear color on top of my nail polish. Also, I have terrible ingrown toe nails, he removed most of them but not all, and the nail polish job was sloppy !! Very rude staff !! They talk in their native language amongst each other and very seldom my talk to you....the customer who system their salary !!! Oh ! And I had a little bit of dry rough skin in my heels, the tech went over the places once... went to my car, looked at my heels and nail polish..... not happy at all with this place services!! I have been to this shop for pedicures a few times in the past and wasn't too impressed. Due to it being centrally located, I decided to give it another shot. I went in with my 5-year old so she could get a pedicure as well. A guy working there told me it was $20 for her and I said it was a bit steep but that was fine. My baby girl deserves to be treated. However, as I'm in the chair getting my pedicure, the woman who was doing my daughter's toes proceeded to justify why her pedicure was $20--they had to pay rent, little girls are always smudging their toes right after, their shop was nicer than others etc. I looked right at her and said nicely--I'm not complaining at all right now so why are you telling me these things lol?? I explained the reason I said it was steep is I have gotten my daughters pedicures other places and not paid $20 but obviously I was okay with it since she was getting a pedicure. The guy doing my toes starts chiming in and and backing her up and it was just awkward after that. My polish was a bit sloppy and I didn't appreciate the comments from the both of them. They were both rude and I just won't be going back. I will go back for eyebrow waxes only because I was very happy with that service. read more

Walking into this establishment was like walking into a funeral. I could instantly tell that it must have changed ownership from the last time I was here (more than two years ago). I have lived in Beaufort for seven years(off and on)and I have loved Hollywood nail. Recently Hop has made changes to improve the quality of service in the shop. I refuse to go anywhere else. I have tried other shops but none compare. I go every two weeks for pedi and mani or a set and I love the service. I have tried other shops but they don't compare. I went the day of my appointment the shop opened 20 mins late, being on time appears not to be on the top of the list that was a turn off. I chose to deal with it because I enjoyed the service. The shop has opened late each time I visited . I scheduled an appointment with the same nail tech 2 weeks in advance. I arrived and waited . the shop opened 20 minutes late this day. I've never been to a nail salon where the service was so bad. To be fair, I've been here 3 other times over a 4 year period (as an alternate choice) and the service was pretty decent. However, yesterday I was highly disappointed. I understand if you get busy, but that is no excuse to be rude or try to cut corners to get people out, especially if one has been patiently waiting for service. The nail tech copped a big time attitude and acted as though he did not want to perform the service I asked for. I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone living in the area or needing services while visiting. There are other places to go in Beaufort-try them instead. read more
