As individuals who are not local, we chose to go to this nail salon for our bride to get her ring finger fixed. She then proceeded to yell at the bride about what finger she wanted fixed. As the brides maid of honor was standing beside her she proceeded to yell at her to go sit down to the front, when another individual was standing beside her friend and she did not ask her to sit down. As a paying customer, no one appreciates being yelled at or being disrespected. read more

Charged me $60 for a normal set. Added a clear gel topcoat. Nails were not the same length. Male that did my nails did not seem too experienced. Nails lasted 5 days. Would not recommend as they scammed me out of money. read more

referred by local customer about 6 weeks ago, pedicure was basic but nothing extra was offered either. not a fan! then owner states she has not done IBD hard gel in "13 years" so when 2 middle nails broke, obviously she wasn't good then either. that's the whole reason I always choose hard gel because it stays on well and my nails have never broke until after she did them. Now, fast forward after I found another local salon that did a great job, it's time for a fill in. I was going to give Happy Nails another chance, well this time the owner literally tells me "can you just go back to where you had them done cause I don't want to do them"! can we just say, RUDE!!! This place was awful! We went in for a brides day. I asked for a deluxe pedi and gel mani. I waited soaking for 45 minutes without anyone starting me. My pedi did not get the massage OR EVEN THE TOP COAT. They dremmelled my fingernails and now they are super weak AND THEN WANTED TO CHARGE ME $125.00. I was in the chair from 3pm to 5:30!!!! I found Happy Nails to be exactly that! I love going in for Annie to take care of my nails and give my toes a pedicure! She is gentle, thorough and has a great smile. They are accommodating when I rush in to find an opening and it is never a very long wait. Atmosphere is pleasant and fairly quiet so you actually can fall asleep in the pedicure chair. read more

This quaint nail salon tucked into a strip mall, directly next door to a small Mexican tienda, was such an amazing find for us on a rainy Monday afternoon. We are currently on vacation in St. Helena Island, and this nail salon was such a great place for us to spend this afternoon! First, before I forget: this salon did not reek of alcohol/nail polish remover/other chemicals. It actually had a rather pleasant smell. The workers spoke to one another periodically in their native language, but didn't chat non-stop - which I have often found to be quite loud and distracting when getting my nails done. It fact, it was rather quiet and serene inside, save for the CNN news on the two TVs mounted on different ends of the store. It really added to the overall experience, making it more relaxing. The salon has about 6-8 pedicure chairs lining the right wall, and about 6 manicure tables lining the left wall. I got both a manicure - a gel with french tips - and a pedicure (a pretty coral paint color). The young woman who did both my hands and my feet was soft-spoken and detail-oriented. I walked out of that nail salon with completely dry nails and not a single smudge or smear anywhere!! As I type I keep looking down at my nails because they look oh-so-pretty. My gel french tips and full pedicure ended up being $60. Gel is always more expensive, and I did get both a manicure and a pedicure, so this seems reasonable to me. But, I don't get my nails done too frequently, so I'm not sure. It was a relaxing, wonderful experience. I was well taken care of. I wish I had gotten the name of the sweet younger woman who took care of me, but it totally slipped my mind. Every part of this experience was 5 stars, and I gladly recommend them. I only wish I lived here, because then I would get my nails done way more often. They did a phenomenal job. read more

Sorry to give such a bad review but I don't want anyone else to pay for a pedicure at this spa. I had the male pedicurist and he was in a huge rush and very rough. He actually made one cuticle bleed. I upgraded the pedicure to a hot stone which was 10.00 more but the hot stone massage was only about a minute long on each leg, if that. Very disappointing. My nails were cut too short with no consistency, some square, some round on one side only.. etc. Not at all relaxing. I could go on. Go somewhere else. Worst pedicure I've ever had. read more

Not a Happy place. It was pretty unbelievable when two employees argued with each other for 10 minutes in front of my daughter and I. Thinking back, we should have left but at the time, we were both seated in the pedicure chairs. Just because you speak another language doesn't mean that yelling is misunderstood. Got in an appointment within 1/2 hour of calling. No waiting when I arrived. 3 different people worked on me-one did my pedicure, next one painted my toes (looked like little gems after), third did my manicure. All very skilled and efficient. No time wasted. Highly recommend! Thank you read more

My husband is an Active Duty Marine Corps Officer and we just moved here from San Diego, CA. After a long week of unpacking and my Bday I decided I would treat myself. DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!! I had made an appt for 1:30. Even with my appt I waited 20 mins. Then I requested a gel mani and pedi. The guy doing my nails did the opposite of what I asked. He destroyed my cuticles, cut the side of my skin, gave me short, fat and sharp stumpy nails. After my nail fiasco I didn't get any other service here! Awful and DEF not good quality work, un friendly service and the farthest thing from relaxing! STAY AWAY!! read more

I heard good reviews of this place so decided to give it a try. I called ahead and made an appointment. The guy doing my nails seemed okay at first til I noticed he left a noticeable gap from my cuticle to the polish. I politely asked him to paint that part of the nail and he said something in a different language and appeared angry. He went over it again...still didn't paint the gap in my nail! I could let that slide aside from the TWO cockroaches running around. One of the workers killed one and the other one scurried away. Won't be back again. read more

I went based on the reviews and was disappointed. I asked for the spa pedicure. He never asked me if I wanted the stone or hot wax I just got the hot wax. He was a little rough on trimming my nails and the worst part was after I got out I noticed he didn't file one whole foot of nails and I had one foot of toes nicely squared and one all the nails were crooked. I was a little concerned when I went in and there was no one in there but me. Now I know why. I was new to the area and so had not experienced a nail place in Beaufort. I won't go back. read more

i read all the reviews. the ones with one stars sounded so far off from what i experienced that i had to write a review. i have found the gentleman good with the pedi. since i am diabetic, it was very important that my feet are well taken care of. my nails were done in such a way that i was very happy. the shop is clean. and roaches are like the s.c. state pet. the closer to the water, the more you see & have them. i would highly recommend this spa to any one. read more

The service was awful!! We were here for the weekend and popped in due to convenient location :( she left some of the old polish on and was short when I pointed it out. Refused to remove the old polish AND refused to exfoliate the bottom of my feet. If I could give this place negative stars, j would. Worst manicure I've ever gotten!!!! I had been growing my nails out for a long time so I could treat myself to a manicure. I expressed that I wanted to keep the length on my nails, yet he cut them down as short as possible. I am furious! As for the quality of the manicure itself, horrible. My gel polish chipped the very next day which has never happened for me before. This is one of the more expensive places I've gone to, yet the quality of the service is the worst I've ever had.
