Coming from out of state, I am very happy that they carry Fromm! They're decently priced (for…read moreFromm) with the same 12 bag get your 13th free plan at the store (via manufacturer). For our cat, we get the wet food brand Weruna - and although I'm used to a very similar Fromm purchasing plan of the bigger cans (per store policy at a different store), Pet Mania unfortunately doesn't do that here. However, there's a very huge flavor selection of this brand (that comes in the small cans), so I'm pretty happy with having many choices. Finally, my cat also loves a stuffed animal brand called supercat (mainly the dinosaurs though), and this store carries this with a price pretty competitive to that of Amazon. Very well stocked for being a fairly small store, so I come here for most of my pets' needs. Fair warning that compared to other commercial stores, some may think this is pricey; however, the selections here tend to be the higher quality brands overall.

‍Reactive dog owner here!…read more I'd like to start off by saying I have never had a bad experience at any of the Unleashed locations! The staff at each store are absolutely phenomenal. I frequent this store for their dog bathing station. General Unleashed info: I always call ahead to reserve a spot for a bath- you must do this to ensure they have time for you. Baths are reserved for an hour. They usually fill up quickly for a weekend spot but I've never had any issues with same day reservations so long as you are flexible. I also really appreciate that the staff has always been super considerate and understanding when I specify that my dog is reactive to both other dogs and some people. I usually let them know while he looks super approachable because he's so fluffy and cute () he's kind of a butthead with strangers (). They always respond with kindness and politely give him plenty of space when we come in- and also let us know if there are other dogs in the store when we come in! I cannot tell you how much reassurance this gives us as owners to a reactive dog- we appreciate this courtesy so much! Protip: buy the frequent bather card! $60 for 4 baths and your 5th is free! They link this to your phone number so you don't have to worry about losing the card and it is good for use at any of their locations! Cary specific: The bathing area is in the back of the store where they stock bigger items. There is a baby gate and curtain you can use for some privacy but as my dog is reactive and as the location of the bath is open to the public I do wish there was a door just for peace of mind. We have had instances where other curious customers try to peek in the bathing area which has caused my pup to freak out a bit. The room is a little tight but you can make do with two adults plus your pup. I would say the bathing station is a good size for dogs up to the 60-ish lb range. 70 and up might be a tight squeeze. The always are stocked with plenty of soap/conditioner/ear cleaning/grooming tools! TL;DR $15 self bathing station, well worth the price for not having to clean up/well stocked bathing area and very accommodating staff.

The staff were great with my dog - and though the service is significantly overpriced, I feel they did a really good job. I did feel slightly concerned for the staff because they don't verify that dogs are vaxxed and they didn't cut her nails on a grooming table (which serves to protect the pet and staff). Knowing my dog is vaxxed and since there were no incidents with my pet (nor harm to staff), it left me feeling fairly ok and hopeful that any future visits would go ok too.

They've definitely gone down hill within the last 2 years or so. I've gotten loads of platys from…read morethem. Sometimes I am in need of a restock but refuse to buy from them at all. Some tanks definitely seem diseased and not cleared of deceased fish . I've seen fish act a bit erratic and ill. But their products have a wide variety and when the tanks seem okay, they have a really nice stock of fish and always seem to have what I need. Salt water tanks seem pretty great, plants have always been clean and safe of traveling snails. I still come here quite a lot. I enjoy it!

Obviously, they have everything we need. But, more importantly, the staff is friendly and happy to talk about any needs you may have. We took training with Jessica which has been very successful in training both my dog and me. We've had such a good experience at this location that we even signed up for grooming. Justin took plenty of time getting to know me and my dog before starting which allowed my dog to get really comfortable with him. She came out looking super sweet and smelling good for days! Long story short, this has been a one-stop-shop for all our needs from dog food, treats, toys, training and grooming! I can't wait for the store remodel to be finished.

Today was it for me. While having booked a grooming service and told 2 hours, I get a call after 1.5 hours saying they just started and can't finish. That my dog's nail bed is bleeding and now she's at the vet there. I rush over and then was told that she's not bleeding and has inflammation around her nails. They asked if they can treat it. How about NO. You first lied to me about her bleeding then expect me to believe something is wrong with her to bill me for treating her. I will take her to her vet. What morons. The Vet Dr there was useless. The Groomer lied.

This was my second visit and both times I had to *ask* for help -- no one greeted me when I came in or asked if I needed help, although my body language should've clearly communicated that I did (i.e., constantly looking around for someone to help me). By the time I found some help, I was very frustrated and decided not to buy the pet rabbit my daughter was admiring after all. Also, there is not a huge selection of items for smaller animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. And to make things worse, when I left, two employees were outside taking a smoke break. On a positive note, this store has some pets that other local pet stores may not have -- like the rabbits, for instance. And I like that they host a good number of adoption events. I wish I could give more stars because I love local businesses, but the staff just didn't have the level of professionalism and courtesy that warrant a higher rating.
