I just visited here with my pup and I've never raced to Yelp to leave a review faster. These people were AMAZING! We're traveling from Los Angeles to Virginia and stopped in for a bath in one of their self-wash rooms. Yes, ROOMS! You get your own little room with the tub, a table, a drying table, 2 dryers, shampoo/conditioner, towels, aprons, treats, and cotton wipes! It was so nice not having to have the lead around my girl during the bath or drying station. After the bath, we picked up some treats for her troubles. Great prices on regular chews, like pig ears and esophagus sticks. They have excellent variety! She picked out her own toy, I was just excited I was able to pay for it before it got destroyed. They gave her multiple treats in-store and even sent her on her way with some for the road. It makes me sad that I'm not local to come here often, but if the timing is right when we come back through, we will definitely be stopping!! I don't recall the names of the people that helped us but EVERYONE was super friendly, including the employees just passing by that saw us. Highly recommend this place!!! read more

Since this place is so close to our house, we go here all the time! The staff here is so friendly and helpful as well. They have a very big selection of dog treats and bones. Hollywood Feed has items for pet owners as well! Very cool. They are also pet friendly so if you bring your furry friend he/she is welcome! I also thought it was awesome that they deliver items to you the same day. This also might be a little minor, but I love how they sometimes have dogs at the counter! I saw the most lovely large black dog saying hello to us at checkout. Definitely would recommend going to if you need anything for your dog! read more

Are usually enjoyed my visit to Hollywood Feed as all the employees greet me when I come in and treat me like a valued customer. This was my first time at this location and it was a big difference from the location in Southhaven and Olive Branch. Not one employee asked me if I needed help and when I was ready to check out I felt like I was bothering them. Needless to say I won't be going back to this location and now I'm having second thoughts about spending my money at any Hollywood Feed location. They couldn't even bother looking up at me let alone smile. I got the impression that I wasn't welcome there and if that's what they were trying to convey they did a great job of doing so. Every time I've gone into this Hollywood Feed with a question, the staff have proved to be very helpful with first hand experiences with many of the products they sell. They helped me get my dog to eating again after he got into a funk when we moved. They give me ideas to deal best with his joints since he is such a tall dog. Extremely helpful with everything I needed. Went in fostering two 3 week young puppies, never fostered or had pups so young before. Clerk was able to recommend exactly what I needed - bottles, milk (she made her suggestion then also explained the other options thoroughly), potty training pads etc. Those puppies took to the milk so well I was in the next day to restock, I mentioned that the bottles didn't work (too small) and she (same clerk) gave me a refund right then, with the options for store credit, cash back or just take the amount off my total! I stopped here to switch back to better quality food for my puppy after buying his last bag from the grocery store out of convenience. The girl working immediately asked if I needed help and went over the different brands of food to consider for my specific needs. I ended up going with one I have used before, but I know more about other options if I decide to switch again. They have a program where you buy so many bags of the same dog food and your next bag is free. She also told me to bring the food back to them if I have any problems at all. They donate returned food somewhere if it's still safe. Anyway, she couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and I will certainly be back next time I am in the area! read more

If there's something I hold true to in life, it's this: pets are part of the family. If you don't love and cherish them as such, then I really don't see why you chose to have one. We love ours and we want the very best for them. Each of our rescues gets the best. Do we pay more for it? Yes. But the fact that we know what's in their food and where it comes from...the fact that their beds are made right here in the USA (Mississippi Made)...means everything to us. I couldn't be more thankful that Hollywood Pet Star was purchased and given one really incredible upgrade! From the quality of food, to the increase in selection, to the amazing upgrade of their locations and their interior appearance, to management's true concern over daily operations. Having Hollywood Feed here, locally, has been a blessing. Hopefully, when it comes time to move, there'll be one near us there too! I just recently came by this location because I needed some Fromm, but I was really dreading it because of past experiences here. I used to avoid this location altogether and go right to the Germantown Parkway one after countless terrible experiences with their old employees here. However, the new crew is FANTASTIC! My experience has 100% been much, much better! As soon as I walked in, Brittany was quick to ask if I needed assistance. She was super sweet and GENUINE! I don't know why I keep coming back to this location, just like the other reviewer posted on 11/12/16, the employees at this store are so rude and unfriendly. I used to live in Memphis by the Cordova location and always had a great experience there, but I live in Nashville now and the Bartlett location is closer to my parents' house when I'm visiting. I have been in this location probably 4-5 times in the past year and every time my experience is exactly the same as it was today, and this was the last time I will go here. The staff act like you are bothering them when you ask them a question and always talk to you like you are dumb. Today I asked a couple of employees questions and the only one who was friendly and nice was a blond gentlemen. He actually seemed like he enjoyed his job. There were two young ladies with long brown hair and glasses who both seemed like the didn't want to be there. I asked one of them a question about canned food and without responding to me she turned to the other girl to ask the question. The second girl (red eye make up) obviously knew it was me who asked but she didn't make eye contact while she answered. I didn't catch her name, but she was the one who checked me out and unfortunately her name was not on the receipt. At the Cordova location, they had a card for when I purchased a case of the Koha food so I asked about that. Once again, the girl acted like I was an idiot and didn't know what I was talking about. There was an older blonde lady who was standing there so I asked her and she told me they don't do that. Which is odd, since Cordova used to. At that point, I was so frustrated I just let it go. Once I got home, I saw they were doing a promotion on the Koha food, and if the girl had told me that, I would have purchased additional cans. I had already spent $60, so they lost out on that additional revenue. This store needs to take customer service lessons from the very friendly and helpful staff at the Cordova location. It's unfortunate, but I will no longer be back. read more

I started using 'Fromm', (dog food) which was recommended to me from the staff and my dog has been thriving ever since. He is so healthy and his coat shines so beautifully. Not only that, but they have everything you could need, from toys, beds, collars & harnesses, food and more. They are truly genuine in their sincerity of wanting to help you take excellent care of your animal. Any questions you may have they are more than happy to help you answer them. Like all the Hollywood Feed stores, this place has amazing pet items and pet lover gifts! Great selection of treats, bones and bedding. The staff was also very nice as I have come to expect from Hollywood Feed. This location did not have a self serve bath area. It wasn't needed for my visit, but just know not all locations have this. The one thing that could be improved is the layout in the front of the store. There is not a lot of space and no matter what side of the bone display I was on, my dog and I continually were in someone's way or had someone in our way. This is most problematic at checkout where a lady with a cart could not get through to leave the store unless I moved entirely out of the checkout like to allow her room to pass. When I have to stop my checkout process and move totally to another spot so someone can get by with a standard size cart- then it's time for this store to revisit their layout. When you're working with dogs and possibly big bags of food it is important to have small details worked out. Rethink the front layout Bartlett store and you'll be on track like the other locations! read more

Luckily, I decided to check while I was in Memphis and was happy to discover Hollywood Feed. Best pet store I've ever been in!!! My 2 year old shi-tzu had skin allergies we've been fighting since birth. I was at my wit's end trying to help him. The staff helped me get him on the appropriate diet, gave me suggestions on what to eliminate from his diet and surroundings and helped me find a more natural alternative than the vet had suggested. Three months later, he's great! And they ask about him every time! I have referred countless people to them and tell everyone with a pet to go see them. Hollywood Feed trains all of their employees on each of their food lines. These aren't "just hourly employees" like some other pet stores. These are true animal lovers with a passion for pets and people. They are knowledgeable, helpful people that are amazing at what they do. read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE Hollywood Feed!!!! I usually go to the locations on Poplar at Yates or Erinway Shopping Center. I have been to Hollywood no less than 100 times and I have NEVER had a bad experience, until now. I was super sad to go into this location and have an experience like I would expect from a McDonald's. I was the only customer in the store with four employees standing behind the counter. Not a single smile and two employees snapped at my son as he was exploring the store. I always let my kids pick something out when we go to the other locations and the staff usually asks if they can help us or they offer suggestions. Not at this location. As I was walking out the door I said, "Have a good night." No response. So to get a response I said to the FOUR employees standing either at the counter or behind it, "You too! Thanks for coming in." This got their attention and they said,"Sorry." I walked back in and told them very nicely I was disappointed in the service and asked for the managers name. I usually spend around $250 when I go in.... tonight I left after picking out only $20 worth of merchandise. I felt like they were eager to get home and get me out of there even though they don't close for an hour and a half. I hope they can somehow learn the skills taught at the other locations; friendly, smiling, caring dog lovers who want to help! read more

i have been here a couple of times recently because i love the quality of the products they sell. But each time i go in there, the employees are rude. The fist time i was talked down to like i was an idiot and did not know how to care for the well being of my pet. The other time they are rude and sarcastic and talk to each other instead of talking to the customer.
