They have only one cat groomer. I respect their staff who start work @ 7am. But this particular groomer showed a lack of respect for the client in that she was 20 minutes late for an appointment booked a week in advance. Furthermore, she reluctant to groom a long-haired cat that had some mats on her belly, around her legs and rear. So was she inexperienced? or just lazy? Not sure... read more

Wow! I should have read the reviews before even considering taking my dog here. But I am not surprised reading them as I had also had a bad experience like many others. I booked my dog's grooming appointment 3 weeks ago and completed the pre-check in form. I answered honestly that my dog was being treated for heartworms. I show up to my appointment only to be told she can't be groomed by them until she is done with treatment and tested again. I was furious by the lack of communication since I did the check in paperwork DAYS AGO. Someone could've called and I would've understood. But no, they wasted my time and lost a customer. The silver lining is that the dogs who were currently being groomed looked choppy and like they were put through a blender so the only good part is that I saved my poor dog from looking like a first grader cut her. I dropped by Wolfchase PS today, my 3rd time in that store. I found what I needed on the PS site, it said the store had 2 remaining so to save the shipping time I thought I'd take a chance. There were none in the locked cabinet. Blood getting warm. I waited 30min for help, none. They knew I was there because I was staring at them. Blood slow boil. Thank goodness I didn't buy anything, it was taking other customers 20min to get through checkout. I'm sure this store's making $$$ and doing fine but I'm not sure why. We go to PS as a labor of love for our pets and this shopping experience should feel that way. It does not, not at the Wolfchase PS anyway. I've been coming to this location for many times and I've never had a problem. On June 23, I had an appointment to get my dog groomed for her 1st birthday and a booked her and appointment brush and bath. Upon my arrival the groomer Bellaire B. did an assessment of my puppy. Then she tells me that my dog is aggressive and she would not be able to service her. Bellaire B you are a groomer not a certified . Therefore, you can't advise on the health of animals. PetSmart has lost a valuable customer. read more

Took my 15 year old, 6# Bischon in today for express grooming. Blake was amazing with her and she looks better than she has with the mobile service was using. Her legs were a little matted and he said he would try not to shave her. He worked wonders, took the extra time and was able to trim not shave her. Most groomers would have shaved her in order to keep moving but not Blake. Blake even had one of the techs call me to let me know it would take longer than he thought and give me an update. We will go back to have Blake work with her again! Thank you again for your patience, customer service and taking the time to take care of my sweet dog. read more

This store seems to get high marks for the actual store but the grooming not so much. Now I know why. Took my 6 1/2 pound dog for grooming and they sliced him open. He had to be taken in for surgery at a cost of over a thousand dollars. He was 11 at the time with not one incident like this ever with grooming. They offered me a free grooming afterwards but I was hesitant with all he went through. They promised me the manager would do it. When I arrived Blake the mgr came out and talked with me. Then when the process was over he brought my dog out asked if he had done a good job. In other words represented himself as the one who did the grooming . The grooming was ok but at least he made it out without being injured. That's what I cared about. I called today to schedule grooming again. Got the general number and asked to be placed with the last person that groomed him. They told me it was a female. So Lo and behold I found out Blake had not only lied to me but created a whole facade to make his lie believable. He didn't even groom Harry which upset me because I was so worried they would hurt my dog again and only agreed to have the mgr do the grooming. I contacted the GM to report this and his response was well you were with a good groomer who has a good record. I asked what that meant and he said less incidents. I said so you mean less dogs hurt? The answer was yes. I said so you have groomers that have had a lot of incidents the answer was unbelievably yes. All I can say is Wow, what kind of place is this. read more

Today June 27,2020 I set up a grooming appointment for my dog for 10:00 am at the Popular location. My dog has been a couple times and i like their work. He's in and out. We came 10 mins early to our appointment. 3 hours late i haven't received a phone call that my dog was ready. Concerned i came in and asked if Charlie was ready or finishing up. His groomer tells me that it will be another 45 mins to a hour she wanted to finish her more difficult clients than my dog. She was still grooming a dog that came 3 dogs after mine. I do not live in the area and had been already sitting in my car for the last hour. A behavior of one dog does not give the courtesy of putting them before mines. We gave you the courtesy of coming 10 mins early and you gave us the courtesy of putting dogs before mine. Long story short i took my dog and we'll just try another day. This new PetSmart is great. They're conveniently located in the new shopping center with Best Buy and Target as anchors which plays into their demographic: upper middle class pet lovers. They're not the cheapest but offer a nice selection of holistic dog foods. I prefer Blue Buffalo food and they have plenty! My little black lab/basset hound mix loves coming here. They also can do grooming services and nail trimmings while you shop so bring the pup along! read more

Always makes herself available to customers, on the store floor to assist and service with a smile. The rest of the staff is equally committed to great service. Of all the big box stores in Memphis/Southaven, this is the best for fish. The tanks are kept clean for the most part and the staff try to at least keep things nice for the aquatic critters. The staff, while not experts, are moderately knowledgeable and can help with most simple fishy issues. I'll probably buy from here again but I'm always nervous with the big box stores. Still, you're reasonably safe with this one, at least at the time of this writing. read more

I stopped in and chatted with the groomers, as this is my first dog that I have owned that will require regular grooming. I have a 9 week old Standard Poodle named Duke and while speaking with the groomers, found out one of them had a standard poodle as well. So we scheduled an appointment with Tara. She made me feel completely at ease leaving my pup with her, and he sure seemed to like her. We went back later that night to purchase a few other items, and Duke seemed very happy to return. We will be scheduling regular appoints with Tara. read more
