I was told that if they did let him out with other dogs, they would keep a close eye on them. After I picked him up, he was skittish and shaking. When I couldn't calm him down, I took him to the emergency vet. They told me that he had been attacked by another dog but I had never been told anything about it. My dog is white so when another dog attacked him they would've had to have cleaned him up in order for him to not have any blood left on him. So, they cleaned him up and failed to tell me that another dog injured my dog. So $800 later, and a week worth of worrying, he is doing well.

We have used Hillcrest for more than 20 years with two different pets, and until this year, we had…read moreno major concerns. Unfortunately, there have been significant changes this year that have completely changed our experience. All of the doctors we trusted have left, and the level of customer service has declined dramatically. For a period of time, there wasn't even anyone available to see pets on Saturdays. It has also become increasingly difficult to reach the office by phone, with calls frequently going unanswered. Messages are often not returned in a timely manner, if they are returned at all. Another major concern is the push to have prescriptions filled through Hillcrest's online pharmacy. We have been told that they will not provide prescriptions for us to fill through an outside pharmacy, which feels unnecessarily restrictive and is particularly disappointing given the significant prices we have paid for their services over the years. I was always willing to pay higher prices because I trusted the veterinarians and felt that Hillcrest provided excellent, customer-focused care. Unfortunately, with the loss of the doctors we trusted, declining customer service, difficulty communicating with the office, and the pressure to use their pharmacy, I no longer feel that the value is there. After more than 20 years as a customer, I am very disappointed to say that we will not be returning to Hillcrest.

Which, with me being a bit of a Doberman snob (except it's not "a bit" at all ) and with me being super picky with whom I trust my dogs with, to sing praises of any given vet is an absolute rarity on my part. As a client, I'm actually a vet's worst nightmare - I would assume, because I second guess everything and love to do my own research. Like I said... I'm a snob. It is what it is... Dr Lapova is the only vet I've come across in the continental US that I trust my dogs with INDEFINITELY. The entire staff is always patient, kind and fair even with people like me, the facility is always clean, the pricing is super reasonable especially for the quality of care the animals (and owners) receive. Most importantly, Dr Lapova and her staff treat every client as a member of their family! If I could give them 10 stars I would, but as 5 is the max I'll settle for it!
