From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They took their time explaining the ingredients in the food and didn't rush the experience. It felt like they actually cared about what dogs are eating, not just making a sale. The quality of the food really stood out to me. Everything is all-natural and made with real ingredients. There's no corn syrup, no unnecessary fillers, and no harsh chemicals. You can tell the difference right away--it looks fresh and thoughtfully made, not like typical mass-produced dog food. My Border Collie, Zoltar, absolutely loved it. He was immediately interested in everything in the store, which says a lot. Another big plus is the location. It's less than 10 minutes from my house, so it's very convenient to stop by and keep up with better-quality food for my dogs. The store itself is clean, organized, and easy to shop in. Overall, it was just a great experience from start to finish. If you care about feeding your dog better and want a place with knowledgeable staff and quality products, I definitely recommend checking them out.

What really stood out to me was the owner, Benjamin. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind -- not the pushy "sales" kind of helpful, but the kind that actually listens and makes thoughtful recommendations based on your pet's needs. You can tell right away that he truly cares about animals and what goes into their food. That level of attention and integrity is rare. The shop itself is clean, welcoming, and just... happy. It has that local, community vibe where you feel comfortable asking questions and actually learning something instead of just grabbing a bag and leaving. And the products? Top-tier. Fresh, high-quality options you can feel good about feeding your pet. Final verdict: Cute, trustworthy, and genuinely awesome. If you want better for your pet and a better experience for yourself, this is the spot.

I have never had to wait more than a day for my order to be dropped off. Angelica and Sergio go above and beyond in their service. Our dogs enjoy the chicken and lamb kibble. Both of their coats are so healthy and soft. We grind the dried salmon (Angelica suggested this:)) to sprinkle it over the kibble for our picky eater. She loves it!! The dried beef liver treats helped in the training of our puppies. They now come immediately when called. We also purchase the bully sticks, tendon chews, and the beef sausage sticks regularly. Both pups savor the chews and treats and we feel great knowing the products are safe and nutritious. I highly recommend Pet Wants.

I hadn't been able to give her any treats for a few years because she ended up either throwing up or having diarrhea - yeah, just from eating treats. This store is on the small side, but they pack in a lot of various inventory, and the woman that was working that day had an extremely positive and energetic personality. The checkout area is in the middle of the store, so employees can see everything going on. The employee was behind the register ringing someone up, and when I walked in, she called out a warm hello to me. I looked for dog treats and found some commercially bagged ones, but it didn't look like any of them were specifically for dogs with sensitive stomachs. The employee came directly to me after helping her last customer, and asked me if she could help me find anything. I told her that I had a small dog who had a sensitive stomach, so she told me that she had some baked ones at the table closer to the door, and walked with me to where they were located. They looked like cookies or crackers. She told me that there were baked treats with different flavors, like blueberry, pumpkin and others. I told her that I was wary of buying a bunch of treats, especially since I was unsure how they would affect my dog, so she just started selecting a few of the treats for me to take so my dog could sample them at home. She gave me four of them for free. I thanked her for her help and left, happy that I could try these treats on my dog. I later gave my dog small bits of each cookie. She loved them and they didn't affect her at all. Great find!

This store is QUALITY from the products offered to the great customer service. The store is small and pretty narrow, but they really maximize the space to fit in all of their products. The products mostly seemed to focus on dogs and cats, but they may have had products for other pets as well- I wasn't looking. The dog food I was checking out was all very high quality brands, including pre-made food for a raw diet. They have an assortment of toys, leashes, and other pet essentials as well. I love knowing that there is a place "back home" that carries my dog's food in case any travel emergencies come up. I was really impressed by the man who was working. He was very kind and he was super knowledgeable about the various products in the store. My mother is close to having to make a difficult decision for one of her senior dogs and he was very patient and kind with her. He not only helped her talk through some of the difficult subject, but offered her resources as well. It was a few minutes after closing time on Christmas Eve before we left, but he never appeared bothered by the time or showed any urgency to get us out of the shop. They seem to have a great store rewards program, although I didn't inquire too much about it since I am not local. A portion of their proceeds go directly back to the animals through Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends. I'm so glad that the pups from my childhood have such a great local shop & that my mom goes out of her way to support such a great local business! I would definitely make AARF my "go-to" store if I still lived in the area!
