When the "Western Swing" sandwich was put in front of me, I was really disappointed at first glance. For a $10+ sandwich, it looked pretty small, and dare I say, uninspired. Yet, from first bite to last bite, it was really satisfying in terms of flavor and balance of ingredients. While it may not be a "Hungry Man" sized sandwich, it is deceptively filling. I would never recommend this place. Due to medical reasons my husband brings his own drink. He is a transplant patient. They told him he could not bring in is a can of soda. My son has food allergies he could not bring in his allergy friendly food. The lady is so rude and discriminate against medical reasons. Stopped in for lunch today but my partner and I go here all the time in the evenings to catch live music on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The food has always been great and the staff is super friendly. My go-tos are the Western Swing, the Hollywood, the Franklin Road Melt or the wings. The wings are freshly baked, not fried, so they take 20-30 minutes so I don't recommend getting those on a busy night... but on a slow night, try them. You'll thank me. Outdoor stage is great in the spring/summer but the more intimate acoustic shows during the winter are awesome. They bring in some really great talent. read more

Relaxed place with nice area to sit and listen to music. Lights are strung from trees with large stage. We Tried a couple of the sandwiches tonight. Hubby had Cleveland... Ham n cheese. I had Hollywood.... BBQ chicken. Both were ok served on flat bread. Service was ok , nothing too friendly. No greeting at door. When you walk in, the bar drink counter is first then up a step to counter to order food. Menu is larger than expected but just not really impressed. They gave us a number and said they would bring to us inside or outside. So for social distance we put up our lawn chairs outside. That was the nicest thing, that they came out and found you! Music started at 8, but want a place to park be early. If you like to people watch, this is your place. Lots of buckets of beer served. Music varies, so do your research for best night to go. I love this outdoor stage, family-friendly little hangout. The drinks are always cold and affordable. The entertainment is usually pretty good. I have not eaten here yet but will one of these days. Be prepared to park in the field next to the place. They usually have staff out there monitoring the parking area and will even escort you through the woods to the outdoor stage area. They have clean porta potties outside because there are only single-stall bathrooms inside, which are usually reserved for just the ladies on busy nights. It's a fun place to hang out. read more

I drive past Hollywood Corners at least 2 times a week and have been very curious to try it out. From the road, it is an adorable old gas station converted to a deli-type restaurant with an amazing patio and lawn. There is a big stage at the back of the lawn that one can only assume is for concerts and events. I told my husband we had to stop by so we finally did. We were welcomed by friendly staff and a delicious menu. You can purchase gas station type items as well as shop for locally made items. Since we were there during lunch time, I chose the Western Swing. It was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It was freshly prepared and had such great flavors. I follow HC on Facebook and see that they have special events all the time. The events include bands and food so it's a given that you will have a good time. I can see this place as becoming a regular spot for us. The daily breakfast and lunch specials also sound delicious so I look forward to trying them out too. read more

I can't even. I ate there 9.5 hours ago and I still cannot even. From the front of the building, it looks like a diner or something. Some retro place that kind of serves as a restaurant or some such. Aha. No. I walked inside and my jaw dropped. I mean *literally* dropped, people. It was insanely gorgeous inside. It was like stepping through the wardrobe into Narnia. Gorgeous wood. Everywhere. But not just one shade of wood. Different shades of wood. It was so....clean. So very, very clean. And modern. I know I'm writing in short sentences here but I seriously am just floored by this place. Wide eyed and stupefied, I finally made my way to the counter. The cashier was very knowledgeable and told us how everything worked. You can choose from any of their sandwiches, or create your own. They also have soup and pasta salad. I ordered The Tiger, which was phenomenal. I'm already craving another one of those things. Turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and chili sauce. Okay. We have to stop for a second here. Lets just talk about the turkey first, shall we? You know what that terrible pre-packaged deli meat tastes like? Yeah? Okay. You know what the slightly-better tasting meat from the actual deli in your grocer tastes like? Forget it. This turkey tastes like they took your grandma's homemade Thanksgiving turkey and sliced it up really thin and put it on your sandwich. That's how good this turkey is. Now. We must talk about the chili mayo sauce stuff. I am a wuss. And by a wuss I mean I can't handle Panda E*press orange chicken because that's "too spicy" for me. It seemed to be on every sandwich they had. That spiked my curiosity, so I asked the girl if the chili sauce was spicy. She said no, that it had more of an Asian flavor to it. And she was right. It wasn't spicy at *all.* It was so delicious and it complimented the sandwich very well. Moving on to the other best part (there was no best part. They were both the best.) of my meal....the pasta salad. Holy. Friggin'. Cow. I just...I...wow. I've had pasta salad before. My grandma made it. I've eaten it at picnics. I've made it for my family. Usually it's thrown with either mayo or italian dressing. Okay. So this stuff. It was sweet and tangy. Now, if I were reading this review and you told me that a pasta salad was sweet, I would turn my nose up and say, "eew!" No. Don't say that. Eat it. It's amazeballs. I promise. I think they use the chili they used in their chili sauce to season the pasta salad--and it complimented my sandwich very nicely. We ate our meal on the deck out back. It's like a resort back there. The deck is beautiful and wonderfully made. The gigantor gazebo-pavilion-structure-thingy in the very back though? WHAT. So freakin' cool. Beautiful, manicured grass with lights and tables out back....It's so romantic. Hollywood Corners somehow manages to combine "a delicious deli to grab lunch at" and "a bar to go to and watch the game at" seamlessly. It's a fantastic multi-purpose setup. Based on the previous reviews, it appears as though I should have eaten lunch or dinner at Hollywood Corners, not breakfast. I had breakfast at Hollywood Corners on a Tuesday around 8:00. There were probably 4 tables seated as well as some people on the back patio. Our order was taken by a friendly woman. We were given our drinks and directed to the fountain. The restaurant is spacious with around a dozen tables and a couple of flat screens on the wall. There is the usual fountain drinks and iced teas, and you can get bottled/canned beverages as well. When we went to use the fountain, it wasn't working. So, we went to tell the woman at the counter. She then told us a gentleman (I don't know if he was a manager) was working on it and pointed to him. He was standing at the table closest to the machine, talking to a patron. We had to walk by him to get to the machine. So, that was annoying that he had to have seen us walk by and didn't think to go finish working on the machine before finishing his conversation. He turned it back on and it worked fine. We then sat down and waited on our food. And waited. And waited. It took over 15 minutes to get our quesadilla, burrito, and breakfast sandwich. And, during the wait, we noticed something. Behind the counter are 2 microwaves. And they use them. A lot. I saw one employee make the order before ours. It was the croissant sandwich. The sausage goes into the microwave. Then, the egg went into the microwave. It was stirred and put back into the microwave. Then, the entire composed sandwich was put into the microwave. Lots of microwaving. So, back to our breakfast. The best item was the Haley's Comet, a breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, sausage, avocado, and chili lime mayo. It is supposed to come on ciabatta, but they were out. So, we got it on sourdough. The mayo is legit. I presume they make it themselves, makes me wonder why microwaves feature so much in their prep when they are capable of such good sauces. I would order this sandwich again. The quesadilla and burrito we split were just okay. Both were dominated by the chili, which is good, but needed a lot more heat for my tastes. I would have liked more crisping of the exterior of the tortillas. We didn't finish either item. As I stated, it looks like i may have had the wrong meal at Hollywood Corners. And, I will say the deli sandwich variety looked good and it's certainly varied. I'll definitely be back to have lunch or dinner, hopefully I can write an update with a better rating. But, I probably won't come back for breakfast for awhile. read more

They turned this old station into a tasty deli that has a pretty nice atmosphere inside, with a nice outdoor seating arrangement as well. Apparently they also have concerts outside in the back as well. My sandwich was very delicious and well balanced, on a super soft sourdough bread. The potato salad was perfect. One of our absolute favorite places. Very relaxed atmosphere with TVs to watch a game on the back porch or inside. Great sandwiches with generous helpings of meat. The banana sheet cake is delicious. Not as good as it once was. If you were here a year or so ago and loved the food be prepared for a change. Okay so here's the deal, if you are looking for a place to have a beer, be outside, hang with friends on a pet-friendly patio and you DO NOT care about food then this is your place. Great venue for live music. Games on the lawn and picnic tables everywhere. But....if you are looking for yummy food this is not your place. The menu has changed and it's no longer delicious sandwiches. The food is eh... We had the queso (good), the western swing (not exciting), and the bologna sandwich (better than the western swing, but still nothing special). I thought maybe it was just 'off' while we were there but since then I've spoken with quite a few friends who have also had the same experience. Band was awesome, however Hollywood Corners don't have burgers or fries and the BBQ sandwich I got was cold along with the meal that was for my woman, hers was cold as well.
