Well I guess I have to use 1 star because-5 star is not available, classic overbooking and when confront about it the had security shutdown event that was to take place, long story short the management team on duty had no business sense at all was not looking at how many people had come for the event. Where top notch comedians were there to perform which never came about but they still had to be paid and people whom purchased ticket that came had to be refunded. This matter shall be taken to the BBB About thier savory business practice. I think town officials and code inspectors should look Into this establishment. I could go on but I won't, so much for trying to keep business in the community. Smh. These plates here are meant for Godzilla! Let's be honest, they serve you food on huge serving platters. That's what they're really meant for! The red sangria is strong. You can really taste the alcohol in it. There are little to no vegetarian options so I had the monkfish and shrimp rice stew. It was really good (though watch for bones). I kept eating it even when I was beyond the limits of full. I ended up taking half of it home for lunch the next day! Also, it was only about $13 for that whole dish! Everyone around me had steak and they were exclaiming how good the beef was there. For dessert, they ran out of everything except tiramisu and flan. We tried both of them. The tiramisu was pretty awesome. The flan was good also but the tiramisu definitely won in that battle. I'm only taking a star off because it took them forever to get us the check and then their credit card machine was done. We weren't informed for a while and ended up sitting there for 30 minutes waiting while they tried to fix it. We ended up paying in cash. read more

If you're looking for a dive bar with strong cheap drinks then you've come to the right place. Came here with one of my girls for a comedy night. The drinks were tasty, (can't beat $5 dollar drinks on a Saturday night). The comedians were funny (well at least most of them lol) and overall it was an experience I expected. Please note, this place is a bit "rough" so if you're uncomfortable going to urban places, you may want to sit this particular one out. Went here for brunch yesterday and I am completely DISGUSTED!!!!! If I could give ZERO stars I would. I get that brunch gets busy I wasn't too pressed about the food not coming right away but once the food arrived I was in complete shock I ordered the chicken & waffles the waffles look like they were fried and hard as a rock full of grease, it came with 3 wings that tasted horrible!!!!! Have ordered food from here and have eaten here a few times. For take out I've had the chicken marsala and the bbq chicken. The chicken marsala is great and they add extra marsala wine and mushrooms. The food here is not up to par. My family always gets take out from here. Last time I ever ate there food I asked for my meat medium well. It was literally bleeding out. This is a nice local place in hillside. They have two bars and a large hall, if your just want to stop in for a drink and a little food you can eat at the one bar by the pool table. If you go with a few friends the other side of the bar is a little classier and have a bunch of tables to sit down at. Food: This food here is good, if you go you must try the shrimp in galic sauce appitizer, and the clams in green sauce, they are both amazing. For luch they make a nice fish fillet sandwhich which is decently priced. The last time i was in there i ordered the salmon off the special menu, and it was out of this world. A large piece the size of a steak, well seasoned, that came with potatoes and greens. At the end of the meal i could not leave before having a little expresso and booze to bring the whole meal together. I come to this place often and would recommmend it, but warning i can be a little pricey, meals 15$ and a pitcher of wine will run you about 20$. read more

Very bad service .... the night of September 22 we celebrated my daughter's sweet 15 ...the time of the event started at 7pm till 1 am ...it was 8.30 and no drinks !! My family and I had to start serving the tables .... the Dj lost power twice and nobody would help ! The owner spoke with bad manners I told her that they were smoking marijuana upstairs ( 2nd floor) and told her that we had kids around and I would call the cops .... Randomly came here early summer 2018 with a friend for an late night gathering. It was cool. The came by as a regular guy of the street just to use the bathroom, and they turned me away. They only received a star because I'm forced to leave something. I booked a party scheduled for 16 Apil 2022 back in January 2022. The venue changed ownership mid-April and the new management did not want to honor my contract. We agreed to open bar for three hours with top shelf LQ for $2500. in actuality I received a 750ML bottle of Hennesy, two bottles of wine and a single bottle of Cîroc. Shots were being poured by the designated bartender in communion cups. Two hours into the party the venue ran out of liquor and refused to supply any additional. The venue had their own DJ that was conflicting with my DJ not to mention there were other people partying right outside the door of my party. The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. It was extremely disappointed. I would never step foot in this place again. However, there was a female security guard who was extremely nice and professional. Order to share! These portions are huge! I came here on a Saturday mid-afternoon hoping to have a nice late lunch/early dinner with my sister.. Upon walking in, I felt a little lost.. There was no host at the door to direct us to a table, only glares from patrons manning the bar area (I supposed they're the regular locals).. Only one of the tables were occupied... We made a first attempt to get a spot by the bar, but that's not what we had in mind, so we uncomfortably wandered around for a little until I decided to ask the bartender if we were supposed to sit ourselves. He affirmed "yea just sit anywhere" Only one waitress on a Saturday = long wait time! For a moment I though no one was going to serve us, then I noticed the single waitress making her rounds through the entire restaurant( which is pretty big and spacious)... When she finally got to us (my sister and I), she handed us a menu, took our drink orders, and quickly disappeared.. She was very helpful in helping us decide since neither my sister or I had ever been to a Portuguese restaurant before.. I ordered penne with sea food, she'd went with some assortment of sea food over rice.. Food was nothing extraordinary.. Tho you sure get a lot for your money! Let's just say I could make two more lunches out of the left overs I took home.. Overall experience was not very up to par... Don't think I'll be going back. read more

Not dressed appropriate to serve, wait of 1hour and a half to have WATER at the tables so imagine how long we had to wait for the food to be served and on top of the wait, the food was cold! I went here last night because I need something quick as I was on my way home and it was late to cook so I placed a order for 2 Portuguese style bbq chicken with fries and rice. When I got home we started to eat. the rice had a weird taste. We ended up throwing it all out. As for the chicken..... where do I start... no flavor at all.. was so very very dry I couldn't believe it. It seems like the chicken they didn't sell yesterday they just reheated them and sent them out.. I loved the old owner. I am very disappointed. I read all the good reviews on the food and i have eaten here before and its ok. Not a fan of Portuquese rice, to me it has no flavor at all. So i ordered the Shrimp in garlic sauce which i love to eat and it smells so good. I get home and all the shrimp was not deveined. Yes the intestinal tract which is their poop were all intact. For me it grossed me out and $12 in the garbage. I would think a resaturant like this which is always packed would have the decency to clean their shrimop properly.
