You actually get to speak w Dr. Kim. I can honestly say Dr. Kim and his wonderful staff work together as a team. Thank you all for caring about my wellness and for giving me such great care. I've been to 3 other doctors since and had imaging proving I do not have a leg length discrepancy. Not only did this waste my time in treating back pain and cost me money in buying expensive custom shoes but it also severely worsened my pain. Prior to seeing dr G I had my radiculopathy under control it's been 2 months since I saw him and it's still worse than when I saw him. I can't speak about his ability to do epidurals or nerve ablation but there are some unsettling reviews on here. TLDR Dr G should have had a full scanogram ( a special x ray done with rulers) done before telling me to push through the pain of shoe lifts but he didn't he is severely mistaken which is embarrassing as it's well known muscle guarding from a bulged disc can pull up a hip. A message to DR G please do some more research I know shoe lifts worked for you but everyone is different thanks for trying to think outside the box though I do appreciate that A message to a potential patient...get a second opinion!!! GREAT DOCTOR. GREAT STAFF…read more In what alternative universe did a few people posting negative reviews see Dr. Grabow or interact with his staff? I've been a patient for several years. He is an excellent doctor. I have never been treated better by any staff. His staff is kind and addresses my questions or concerns. They call me back when I ask for something that can't be immediately addressed. They have never refused a request for a copy of a record, as one poster complained, and I requested a copy of the same thing the other poster allegedly requested. Dr. Grabow has fought with the work comp insurance company to get me medicine, physical therapy, and more. It has to be a pain in the behind to have to argue with an insurance company over and above treating patients, but he has chosen to do so and I am grateful for his choice. I am unfamiliar with the work comp system and Dr. Grabow has answered questions that I have had about it. He could have told me to go read something online or that my questions were outside of my medical care or some other excuse, but instead, he shared knowledge with me. Dr. Grabow is under constant pressure from work comp insurance companies to reduce pain medications - or to stop pain medicine altogether, to stop physical therapy, to stop any treatment, to declare patients permanent and stationary, but he does not do so when the patient still needs what they need. I'm not saying that he is Superman and will win every battle with an insurance company, but he is not afraid to go to battle with them. When the work comp insurance company demanded I submit to a Qualified Medical Exam (QME), the outside doctor I had to see for the QME agreed 100% with Dr. Grabow's care plan. It hasn't stopped the insurance company fighting against everything all the time, but it sure felt good to have another pain management physician agree 100% with Dr. Grabow's care plan.

From the moment Dr. June Sadiq walked into the room, I could tell he was genuine, compassionate, and truly cared about his patients. He took the time to listen, answered every question thoroughly, and made my grandma feel comfortable during a stressful time. What stood out most was that he never made us feel rushed. He was attentive, thoughtful, and kept checking on her throughout her visit, which meant so much to our family. When I asked if he could speak with my daughter over the phone to explain my grandma's test results, he didn't hesitate. He patiently went over everything, answered all of her questions, and made sure she understood the situation completely. That level of kindness, patience, and professionalism is rare. Dr. Sadiq is truly a gem. UCI Medical Center is incredibly fortunate to have him as part of its team. Thank you for treating my grandma with such compassion and dignity. We will never forget the difference you made.

If I could give this hospital a negative review, I would. Unfortunately, I had a horrible…read moreexperience, and it was not because of the nurses. The nurses were friendly, caring, and did their best. My biggest issue was with the case managers. My father was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath, pneumonia, and cancer. He was placed in the older, run-down side of the hospital. During the summer, the room was extremely hot because the AC was not working, and they provided a fan to try to help. The room itself was also very small and uncomfortable. Again, I want to emphasize that we had no issues with the nurses. They were kind and helpful. The problem was the case management. It felt like the main priority was simply getting my father discharged as quickly as possible rather than making sure he had what he needed to safely go home. He was discharged without several necessary medical supplies and we were told they would be delivered afterward. Unfortunately, the vendor could not provide one of the supplies because the prescription they received from the case manager did not include the required model number. The vendor needed an updated prescription before they could send it. I called the case managers repeatedly, leaving multiple messages and calling every day for over a week. No one returned my calls. We eventually had to contact my father's doctors ourselves to try to resolve the issue. This should not have been necessary, especially for a patient dealing with cancer and recovering from pneumonia and breathing problems. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing to feel like the healthcare system no longer puts patients first. Discharge planning should be about making sure patients and their families have the proper support, medications, and medical equipment--not simply getting them out the door. UCI, please do better. Please consider replacing or retraining case managers who are unwilling to communicate with patients and families and who do not follow through on critical discharge needs. Because of this experience, I would not recommend this hospital, primarily because of the case management and lack of follow-up.

I can honestly say that without relief from my pain I did, on several occasions, consider suicide. I have suffered many complications following being hit by a drunk driver. I tried to cope as best as I could on my own and ended up destroying my stomach by over the counter anti-inflammatorys. I almost died and spent months in the hospital when I suffered a rupture and became septic. I know there are risks involved in taking Any medication. Also, that there is always going to be a small percentage who may have different motivations and use the drugs incorrectly. It just has to be said that the work that Dr Vu does is important and life saving. He is a highly ethical and deeply concerned physician. I am able to enjoy a much higher quality of life because of his care: because, I can now use less medication due to the combination of steroidal and nerve block injections. I am sorry for the families who have lost their loved one's and also that Dr Vu's reputation has also suffered. I feel confident of the work that he does and will continue to be his patient.
