The variety is significant and ranges from smaller to larger items and as well goes from some expensive items to some cheaper too. Although I do want to say cheaper doesn't necessarily mean lesser quality. My wife enjoyed a lot of the items. No interaction with staff but quite a few sections did have cards on display with information from who created the items. It does seem like a solid idea of a store that allows some smaller creators having their items on display in a mall without needing their own store. I believe all of the items are made by people located in the New England area so it really is local. I suspect if you revisit often the stock could change quite a bit. Could be a great spot to pick up gifts for multiple people in your life since they have the variety of items!

Newbury Comics is now open at The Mall at Rockingham Park in the former FYE space next to Dick's…read moreSporting Goods, which relocated from its original location on South Broadway. The relocation of older Newbury Comics stores into indoor shopping malls has been the trend for the past 10 years. This store has a fresh bright modern look with shiny hardwood floors and nice colorful displays of merchandise. They still offer a decent selection of new & used music (CDs & records), movies (DVDs & Blu-Ray), and games, but the selection of music (CDs) at Newbury Comics is considerably less than 10 years ago. With many people now downloading their music, buying from Amazon and the existing competition from Bull Moose Music & Movies, this probably made good business sense. In addition to the music and movies, this mall store is more focused on offering hip clothing, t-shirts, hats, cool toys, gag gifts, comic books, posters, calendars, and Star Wars merchandise. Like other Newbury Comics locations, they also offer a good selection of Pop! figures. The newer updated FYE stores also have a similar focus as Newbury Comics, offering more toys, games, action figures, and Pop! figures. IMO, as a music buyer, I liked the old Newbury Comics better (in the 1990s-2000s), which offered a vast selection of new & used music and movies at very reasonable and bargain prices. Newbury Comics was the place to buy most of my music and movies. However, for a great selection of new & used music and movies (and books too!), there's a large Bull Moose store on South Broadway across the street from the old Newbury Comics location.

Compared to the old location, which I loved, it seemed like this one focuses more on clothing, toys like the pop figures, and trending show items. The old store had a bigger book selection in my opinion, and more used CDs. For those things, I'll now stick with Bullmoose. But I do like this more than the old FYE. It's a good for for the mall since there's Spencer's and Hot Topic which carry similar stuff. They're shifting towards that audience now.

As soon we enter to the store, many ladies came to offer help and so politely. When we went to register to pay the cashier that took care was a very nice lady and when we were finishing the process another cashier came on the side to another register and start to be rude to us. I had a very disappointing experience at bath & body works at Manchester in New Hampshire Mall. The cashier was extremely rude to both me and my sister. While we were still gathering our items and trying to complete our purchase, she seemed impatient and tried to push us aside to help another customer. Instead of politely asking us to step aside or giving us a moment to finish, she argued with me and made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed front other customers. Good customer service requires patience and respect, and unfortunately, neither was shown during our visit. I have always enjoyed shopping at Bath & bath works, but this interaction left a very negative impression. I hope management addresses this issue and provides additional customer service training so other customers do not have a similar experience. For sure I will think twice before step to the store again.
