Albeit Macy's gets four stars because of ease of shopping experience. :) They sell shirts, pants, undies, socks, sweaters, turtlenecks, cardigans, corduroy pants, tank tops. I just bought a polo and it was dead on a Tuesday night when I went in and the help wasn't particularly helpful and couldn't show me where they place the polos or answer if there was a clearance rack. Unlike JCPenney, this store had a full section dedicated to polos to my surprise, and of all different styles and prices, this was most pleasing to me as it mad my experience far better than I could've imagined. However, as I decided it was time to leave, I found an open checkout counter that you can never really tell if it is a checkout counter because they all say customer service and it always seems as though someone is always asking for a price check or returning something so no matter how busy it is, you always know you're going to spend the same amount of time waiting to check out, almost a literal eternity. I know you know what I mean reader! ;)

My mother found a Talbots and wanted to check it out, so we headed there. While browsing around the same shopping center, we discovered Alapage tucked in the corner. The ladies working here were very friendly, too! Alapage is a great place to burn a hole in your pocket!

They asked my friend what she had in her pocket (it was her lipgloss), implying that we were shoplifting. They did not treat the other customers this way (we are not white). They said we were "enamored" with the bracelets and told us we should have them hold it for us. Can we not shop in peace? The only kind person was a teenager doing our forever bracelets. And, as we were leaving, Jen the manager asked if we paid, even though we were clearly at the register.

They had a nice selection of skateboard decks as well and they seemed very knowledgeable about building and what styles work best for certain people, however when I did ask what different wheels and bearing, etc were better at, they mostly just described them as "the same but a different brand" which from my little research is somewhat untruthful. before picking my board equipment out, they did tell me that a normal custom board would be about $110-130. Mine was much more than their estimate in the end which annoyed me a little but I was still happy with a quality board.
