Their customer service is terrible. I mean, I shouldn't expect much coming from 15-16-year-olds running the store, but seriously the manager needs to get them in line, because this is retail, their job is to ASSIT customers. Especially since it's the holiday season and this is when they make the most money. I walk in the store, and three young teens were just talking story laughing, not even a simple hello, or any greeting, or even any eye contact, I was basically non-existent to them... But I didn't take it personally because there are others in the store that had 0 help. Love this store for their clothing and perfume options! Always a classic, moody vibe when you walk in. Located on the ground floor of Pearlridge Uptown, near the escalators. Easy to spot with the mannequins out front. I use their order online and pickup in-store option all the time. I usually rack up points easily as Im a rewards member and theyre easy to redeem with discounts on your purchases. Picking up in-store is easy but keep in mind you wait in the same line as regular in-store customers. Three stars for the subpar customer service and the long lines with a single cashier. Wish it was more efficient but Ill probably keep shopping here regardless. The twenty minute waits in line though are reinforcement of the three stars haha. read more

Fitting rooms are open (covid, march 2021) with a max of 5 items per person to try on. The worker greeted us as we walked in and explained the sales to us. The store was maintained nicely, and it was easy to find the items we were looking for. I saw lots of the associates at the cash register just chatting without moving their hands or doing any work which was a little off putting, but the workers spread out across the rest of the floor seemed to be doing their job. read more

I am appalled by the employees, let alone the MANAGER KACIE (sp?) because of an incident that happened a couple feet OUTSIDE of their store. I was sitting on their 2 chairs outside, when 2 teens (girl & boy) walked out casually. not even a minute later the manager & an employee slammed through the blue swing doors in front of the store going after the teens, stopping them right at the bottom of the going Up elevator in front of a bunch of people! Embarrassing them, accusing them of stealing AND TOLD THE TEENS TO OPEN THEIR BACK PACKS UP, EMPTY IT OUT SO THEY COULD SEARCH THROUGH THEIR BELONGINGS. And while all that was happening, it seemed like almost every single employee (there was about 6-7 girls) came out to follow their manager which made it even more embarrassing! I went up to the teens asking about what happened bc first of all ITS AGAINST THE LAW TO SEARCH SOMEONES SHIT WITHOUT A WARRANT. LET ALONE ITS AGAINST THE MALL POLICY TO GO AFTER SOMEONE IN THAT SITUATION. They were accused of stealing RIGHT after she had purchased something in the store! The girl said that even while she was in the fitting room, alarms was going off. So why them? The boy said it's bc of the way they look! How sad. They've said you "offered a $10 gift card, but what is that compared to being embarrassed in front of a bunch of people". how are you gonna accuse someone of stealing in your store when the inside of it looks like shit?! Piles and piles of random clothes on the floor, some of the piles even waist high, literally everywhere?! Not to mentions empty hangers on the floor as well? You get frustrated just looking at it. Good clothes, good prices...about 40% cheaper than A and F (yes, I know they are part of the same parent company) and good quality, non-run/fade clothes that keeps it look for many washes. I just wish there was a XXL on the athletic fit tees and polos. Seriously, if there was ONE size bigger then I could actually fit it a little better. I love the feel of the cotton and the colors do not fade, that is one thing about buying clothes that are a little more expensive. Got a DEAL today with 50% off the already redlined items and most of the other items at 30% off. I can always find a good deal and that makes a shopper like me happy. Bought 3 polos for 40 bucks. I went on black Friday. LOL It was insane. People will wait in a Disneyland roller coast length line for a pair of jeans. I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. There was a 50% storewide sale on black friday. I bought the cutest pair of mom jeans. Am I cool yet? I guess since I got it half off, I'm not haha. I love how helpful and kind the staff usually are. I would like to give extra thanks to a woman named Princess that worked that Thursday evening. There was another very unhelpful cashier who gave us a hard time about our transaction, Princess was practical and understanding. I called Hollister Pearlridge on Saturday (3/14/20) evening to check if my order came in (no email notification was received), spoke to a male associate. He put me on hold to check, then came back to confirm that my order was in. However, he insisted that I come in now! I told him it was already late in the evening and far away for me to get there and that I would just pick it up the next day. He insisted again that I come in now, because the store was "slow" and someone would be available to help me. (huh??!!). I mean someone's going to have to help me anyway right?! I was taken aback and thought to myself why the insistence as I still could pick the items up within 10 days anyway. He put me on hold (again). Then came back to confirm the 10 days and said ok to come by the next day. After I hung up, it just bothered me that his attitude was so questionable, so I called back to get his name and surprisingly he declined, said "We're not allowed to".. (oh brother!!)..I mean you don't work for the CIA or Secret Service do you?? C'mon now, really??!! Anyway, before I hung up, he said, I know you're far away, but I do recommend that you come in tonight", I just told him I'll come in tomorrow and he said ok, someone will help you then. (thank you Captain Obvious). Then, hellooooo....I go to Pearlridge today (3/15)...and the bloody store is closed!!!! What the ??!!!!. I saw the lights on and tried to call, but no answer. Yelp shows them open as well. So, I'm thinking...is this some kind of a cruel & sick joke of haahaahaa fooled you..told ya to come last night when you had the chance! Now bite me!! I couldn't believe it! Those items I special ordered were for my friend's birthday on Tuesday (3/17)..(OMG!...what now??). I'm thinking, why the h--- didn't the associate give me the courtesy or share the news that they may close when I spoke to him! Otherwise, yes, although very inconvenient, I would've tried to make it to the store that night. This my friends' is a classic. Classic in a sense of dismissive/& cold customer service where this associate held no empathy nor honesty towards his customer, also no pride or respect for the company he represents. He should be retrained to care or perhaps go elsewhere to work by himself where he doesn't have to deal with people. I believe good customer service does exist whether direct or indirect. Customers' pay salaries and contribute to the success of businesses', so take care of them and they will be loyal to you. I hadn't shopped in here for the longest time. Came in just looking around and I ACTUALLY left with a shopping bag. Today the greeter wasn't so cheery as I walked in. Just gave me a look and eventually welcomed me. Found tops that were on sale and there were a lot of other cute clothing I would like to purchase but after I think about it, it is Hawaii, how often will I need sweater-like clothing / material? (During the rainy season, duh). ANYWAYS! Dressing room: nothing to place your bags on, just the hooks near the mirror (I thought about placing them on the floor but thought against it). With only one overhead light per stall. It was difficult alternating the clothes I wanted to try on and my own without dropping them on the floor. It was also dusty. I started sneezing the whole time I was in there and I came in here twice (Trying on different sizes). If the doors are closed, got to wait for an employee to unlock them. One of the tops I had, I got in a small and for some reason... I got stuck. What?! It took me a while but I got out. BREATHE. I wondered what would've happened if I asked for assistance... lol. Came back and I tried on a medium, a bit the same as the first, where are you getting your sizes! Fell in love with a baby blue tank top that would be perfect for a beach day. As usual the store itself smells of it's scent. I got dizzy as I left. And dim. The two I got would've costed over $30, got them for under $13. At the counter they asked about joining Club Cali? I love this store! Though I have to admit I didn't always. I use to be turned off by the shuttered Windows, the dark lighting, and Hollister stores are known for pricey, pricey, AND PRICEY! Clothes. However, I decided to give them a chance and I checked out the Pearlridge store. The smell of the store has gotten better, I do recall being overwhelmed by the heavy perfume/cologne that was sprayed throughout the store. I also found some great deals and I noticed that they significantly reduced their prices. They must have been hit by the recession a few years ago. I actually found some great clothes on SALE! I also found out they will match their online prices! Just show them the same item on your phone. Hollister also allows you to order clothes online and have them shipped to the store for FREE! This helps with the cost and I can return online purchases at the store!! Just as a heads up, on their website Hollister sometimes offer free shipping promotion, but they put it on the slowest boat to Hawaii. Just ship it to the store if you can drive down or walk over to the mall. It's substantially faster. So I would suggest you give Hollister a chance, they have gotten better and they are WAY cheaper than their other branded Abercombie and Fitch stores. read more

Sucks! Every time we shop here there is never someone to let you in the dressing room. There can be 2 employees in the front greeting or talking story and 2 standing at the cash register and no one waiting in line. What's the problem with trying on clothes to see how it looks? Is that an old concept? Then after trying on the clothes there's no rack or someone to ask if everything was ok or someone to at least take the clothes. Frankly, makes me no longer want to spend $50 on a pair of jeans especially when you feel like a burden to the store staff. read more

COMPLETELY RUDE!!! Read the 2nd to last paragraph if you don't want to read the whole rant. I went to Pearlridge today to find a dress for a spring tea that I have tomorrow. I bought a dress here for $70+ today. I went shopping around the mall, and I found a similar dress at Forever 21 for $10. I understand and know that the quality at Hollister highly outweighs Forever 21. However, I only needed this dress for ONE DAY (I wouldn't use it again because it was a themed tea that doesn't really match my everyday style). I went into Hollister when I first came into the mall at around 2 to return a matching top / skirt that my mom bought me that I didn't like, bought a the dress, then continued to shop at Pearlridge. I then came back and went to return the dress about 2 hours later, and the guy that worked here (at around 4pm on May 13th) told me why I was back. I told him that it was because I found another dress somewhere else. HE THEN SAYS TO ME "OH YOURE BACK HERE AGAIN RETURNING ANOTHER ITEM AGAIN" (in a judging voice)... I then said yes, I am so sorry, I found a different dress... Then he replied saying.. "OH I SEE YOU BOUGHT IT FROM FOREVER 21, IT WILL ONLY LAST YOU A WEEK BEFORE YOU THROW IT AWAY" (IN A SASSY RUDE ATTITUDE!) I then explained saying that I only needed it for a day, and I got it for 1/7th of the price of a similar dress than what I got from here. He then walked away with a smirk on his face. There is no customer service here. Everyone was too busy doing there own thing to notice the people that were in the store. I did have things to try on and the woman said "let me know if you need another size." Every time I went out to ask for her she wasn't there. Then when I would here her opening a new fitting room for someone else, I would go back out and ask for her, but she was too busy to turn around and ask if I needed assistance. So I just asked my mom to grab the sizes for me. At the checkout counter, I was waiting on the side, there was about 3 employees behind the counter, and not one of them looked up to ask if I was ready. One of them started logging in on the computer so I looked at her, waiting for her to say she was ready. But she would just look up at me, rudely, and look back down at the computer, then started talking to the other two. Finally she said she was ready after 5 minutes of me standing there waiting for her. When she was ringing me up, not once did she say anything. It was awkward silence the entire time she was taking the sensors off of the clothes. She would only look up when my mom and I would say something to each other. Then when she was finished, she stuffs all of my clothes in the smallest bag. I had about 3 tops, 1 cardigan and a pair of pants, all shoved into one bag. Then she just gave me the bag and again, didn't say a word. I use to work at Hollister and I would never treat a customer this way. I would always acknowledge them and ask every 5 minutes if they need assistance. If I was in the fitting room, I would always double check to make sure everyone is doing okay or if anyone needed sizes. I worked the check out and I always interacted with my customers. I would talk to them, ask how everything was, if they got everything they were looking for. That way they aren't able to count the minutes they weren't being helped. Never have I been to a retail store that doesn't take care of their customers first. I wouldn't want to step into that store again. read more

Ugh... Such a random place to review, and I hate to be such a negative little nelly, but I think it has to be said! As with many of the Pearlridge stores, I think that this Hollister location has much better sales than the Ala Moana location. 40% of errything? Yes please! On occasion I've gotten tops and hoodies here for less than $15, and shorts for around $20. The tradeoff for these amazing sales though? Bearing through the rudeness of the sales staff here! On more than one occasion, I've had to deal with the blank faced, unhappy, and unpolite sales associates. I'll probably have to just deal though... Thus, I haven't been inside a Hollister store in many years. I do have to admit they have some cute stuff, but at my age a lot of their items just don't seem appropriate for me to be wearing anymore. I also forgot how dark it was in this store...I remembered why I did not like coming in here, feeling like the employees were lurking in the shadows watching my every move, creepy right? And the smell--a nice, musky scent, but who expects to walk into the store & have that smell linger on you all day--ya, no. I ended up not purchasing anything even though the sale was decent. I love love LOVE this location! Convienently located in pearl ridge up town next to Ben Bridges and Ann Taylor this Hollister Co. Is wayyyy more reasonable than the Ala Moana location! Bought some cheap shirts that are pretty nice (I think I found a shirt for a party this week Saturday). horrible customer service!! to make a long story short..,they refused to give me a gift receipt! they found every way to tell me it couldn't be done!!! you could tell they just didn't want me to have my way.. the first incedent I think it was a manger that came to help and basically told me I can't have a gift receipt becuse I returned an item while purchasing my items....so I let that go...then I went back to get a couple sweaters and the girl told me I could only have one gift receipt for the whole order, I asked nicely if I can have a gift receipt for each item and she made me ring up every item separate and made me look stupid in front of the other customers. making them think I was holding them up and she purposely took long to make it seem so hard to do. even if they were right about me not being able to get a gift receipt...they had a bad attitude through the whole experience and acted very privileged as if they're ways come before the customers. and the manager kept yelling happy holidays to me in a sarcastic way. I guess he could tell I wasn't happy about not getting my gift receipt so he harassed me and made sure he followed me around the store yelling happy holidays in a sarcastic way. he even waited in the front and yelled happy holidays to me and my kids. even if you have a problem with me, please do not act up to me in front of my kids! have some respect even if the customer is wrong... just strait immature Privileged young men and women working in there that make up their own rules and think it's funny to yell happy holidays at you just because you weren't happy about their lies...and I will fimd out that managers name and put him on blast. do not dare treat me cruel and harass me in front of my kids. you won't get away with it. read more

My daughter got a couple jeans for xmas that didn't fit her so i took her to Pearlridge to exchange them. She was fine getting the exact same jeans in a bigger size that fit but Hollister REFUSED to let her without a receipt. It was a gift and all tags were still in it, it just didn't come with a receipt or a gift receipt. They insisted it was store policy that exchanges require a receipt and since we didn't have one, we're stuck with 2 pairs of jeans that don't fit. Later, I checked on their website and it says if u don't have a receipt u need to provide your drivers license so they can take down your info. When i called and inquired about it they stood their ground and insisted they can't do any exchanges without a receipt. This blows my mind especially since i don't think any other store even carries Hollister branded items. Why would they be so strict about receipts especially if we want to get the EXACT same item in a different size? Now my daughter is stuck with 2 pairs of jeans that don't fit. Don't get me wrong, they're really nice jeans but just the fact that a retail store can be so unforgiving, they've lost a customer for life. My kids love Hollister apparel but this incident has left a bad taste in my mouth and i will not be purchasing any Hollister branded items in the future. read more

I love Hollister and the sales that they have. Online has much better sales though and it's much cheaper than in-stores. Customer service at this location is very wishy-washy. They have the sales associates that care and those that don't. It doesn't bother me. I know what I want and I HATE when sales associates keep following me around and asking me if I have any questions. "Really?! if i had a question a minute ago i would've asked you." But nothing GREAT/Horrible about this location. Online and shipping. I would still rate it the same even if the shipping takes approximately 3 weeks. Shipping to Hawaii is very expensive!!! Only come in here because of my 14 year old daughter. I get the loud music...but why so dark?! Ambiance?! Or so mom and dad cannot see the total?! Waited at the register to pay and no one was there. I go back to the U.S. once a year from Japan. I usually go back to my hometown of Whittier, CA but this time to Hawai'i for my wedding/honeymoon. I always go to Hollister at the Block of Orange in CA and go crazy because I love Hollister and it has resale value in Japan. I came to this Hollister because I heard that the one at Ala Moana Center one has no red-line sales. This one was good and had 50% off red-lines which was more than half of the store. I was able to buy 2 returned slacks for work for only $6 and in my size which is rare. The t-shirt selection though was limited and XL was hard to find especially for sale items. Most Hollister shops usually have back section for clearance items but this shop only had that section for women. Women definitely had a much larger selection to choose from than men. Next trip to Hawai'i, I will be back just to get my fix because heck there are only 2 shops on the whole island. read more

Yes I agree their employees are so rude! I took time after a long day of work to pick up my on-line order. I get inside the store stand in the long line and I happen to notice there's a sign hanging next to the counter that says, "ordered on-line? Skip the line and pick up here" so I get out of line stand under the sign and all the workers are avoiding me so I ask, excuse me I have an on-line order and the workers talking to each other making comments saying oh well there's a lot of people waiting in line so the worker tells me oh you have to wait in that line I was like for real why do you have this sign then? They just ignored me. Now I have to wait even longer cause I lost my place in line. All they had to do was apologize but no they made like I was wrong and my business didn't matter.
