Specialties
Holistic Harmony — Bodywork & Massage Therapy
Traditional Thai massage, performed the way it's meant to be — fully clothed, on a comfortable floor mat, no oils or table required. I studied this practice in Thailand and have specialized in it for over 12 years, combining assisted stretching, deep compression, and acupressure along the body's energy lines to release tension and restore balance.
Sessions are tailored to what your body needs that day — whether that's a full 90-minute systemic treatment or targeted work on specific areas. I also offer Medi Cupping Therapeutic Massage, using gentle suction to relieve inflammation, encourage lymphatic movement, and ease chronic tension.
This is therapeutic bodywork, not a spa treatment — clinical in approach, attentive in practice. Many clients say they leave not just feeling looser, but genuinely more like themselves.
Located in the Oakhurst neighborhood, easy access from Uptown, Plaza Midwood, and South Park.
History
Established in 2014.
Liz has practiced yoga since childhood and became a registered yoga teacher in 2007. Through teaching, her interest evolved toward yoga as therapy, which led her to become a licensed massage therapist so she could work one-on-one with clients in a more therapeutic setting.
During that transition, she received her first Thai massage — and it changed the direction of her practice. Combining her two loves, yoga and hands-on bodywork, she committed herself to learning Thai massage in depth, eventually training and studying in Thailand.
What began as Carolina Thai Healing Arts has grown into Holistic Harmony — Liz's continued commitment to traditional Thai massage as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Thai Practitioner. She regularly continues her education with top teachers across the US and in Thailand, refining her craft after 12+ years of dedicated practice.
Meet the Business Owner: Elizabeth, Liz K.
Liz holds over 700 hours of specialized training in Thai Bodywork and Thai medical theory, in addition to the 650 hours required for her Neuromuscular Massage Therapy license. In 2018, she traveled to Thailand to immerse herself in the culture and study directly with Thai teachers, including at the Sunshine School and under Ajahn Pichest Boonthoome.
Ask her about Thailand — she loves talking about all things Thai: food, travel, Buddhism, herbal medicine, and of course, bodywork.
