We arrived at 10 am and there were fewer than 10 cars in the lot. This is mid October which is peak time so you can imagine how confused we were. $25 got us a small bag to fill. That was all we had to pay for the group of 5 of us! No ticket or bag per person requirements you see at other places. This is a pretty small orchard so by mid-October, I would guess only 1/3 of the trees had apples left. All of the Asian pears and other stone fruits were gone at this point so you'll want to go in September for those. We were still able to get 4-5 different varieties of apples. The only con is that you don't have all the other activities and attractions that you find at larger orchards. No apple cider donuts, farm animals, playground, food, or tractor rides. For us that was okay because my older parents and 1 year old didn't need those things and preferred the quiet experience without the lines. Maybe next year, we'll try Conner's when the little one is older and can appreciate it. If you want low key apple picking without paying a fortune, this is the place for you.

The only downside (not their fault) is that the farm is really close to the Topsfield Fair, so many of the adjacent roads have "closed" signs to prevent neighborhood traffic. If coming from the South, do yourself a favor and ignore the closed signs. Otherwise you might never get here.

Their own employee confirmed that I paid for my son's admission AND that she personally watched me put his wristband on him. A man was then called over and, despite hearing this, repeatedly told me that because my two-year-old no longer had his wristband, I hadn't purchased his admission. I kept explaining that I had. I showed him the payment. His own employee told him I had. He kicked my entire family out anyway. They told me they processed a full refund, which I will update this review to confirm once it appears on my card. I can understand having a wristband policy. I cannot understand accusing a customer of not paying when you have both proof of payment AND an employee standing there confirming she personally watched the wristband go onto the child's wrist. Absolutely appalling way to treat a family over a two-year-old losing a wristband. We will never return. This is the guy who clearly has an ax to grind with a two year old. I'd be careful with this place- clearly a scam.

I was greated by the friendly staff and was surprised to see them making fresh apple cider donuts and sorting out apples in the back ground. They were also selling some hot apple cider and their sparkling cider as well. The inside was cozy and decorated for the fall. Walked out with different variety of apples, some donuts, and of course some hot apple cider for the rainy drive back home. Adding this to my list of farm shops to visit again.
