They respond to inquiries within 10 minutes if not less. I've even had them get back to me on Federal holidays when I wasn't expecting a response until later that week. We use them for mulch every season, for multiple lawn cleanings at the home we used to live at on Prospect St Andover, leaf removal every season, and large landscaping projects at our prior and current residences. They always do a great job and work start to finish without delays. I honestly don't even get prices from anyone else at this point. Tim will ask me what I want and what my budget is and then tells me what he can accomplish in that price range. It always looks better than what I imagined. Can't recommend them enough! The pics attached are from our most recent project at a rental property we needed cleaned up. The place was surrounded by beautiful bushes but completely overgrown and we needed to make it simple. It looks completely refreshed now. They completed this work 8/31/2026

Couldn't see at first because the loam was dark, but after it was spread all over the lawn and started to dry out you could see lots of chards of glass and pieces of broken beer bottles. Also had lots of sticks and rocks. We have a swimming pool, we're frequently barefoot in the yard and it's a miracle that no one including the dogs, have cut their foot open. Constantly raking up stones and glass. Unacceptable! Don't waste your money

It always pains me to write a negative review for a company that I'd earlier been happy with, but…read morethe utter lack of response through two different channels has given me no other avenue. BEWARE of hidden costs with this company. I'd made some costly purchases from SCN in past years, but I'd always transported my bushes and trees home myself and did the planting. This year, and with growing back issues, I'd decided to have the trees I purchased planted by the company. I purchased two different trees a few weeks apart, hoping to have them scheduled together. I spoke/dealt with two different employees and BOTH times, they explicitly told me the cost of planting and delivery were half the cost of the trees. Planting AND delivery. Both times I asked questions and both times they were told my address. Both times there were ample opportunities for transparency on any additional costs I could incur, but they were steadfast in telling me to expect half the cost of the trees. I waited seven weeks for them to reach me on their delivery schedule, but they did not confirm the day and time until TWENTY minutes before Jake was arriving at my home (he apologized that he forgot). I scrambled to rearrange my morning and had to cancel a work teams call. Jake was great and professional, however, when I went to write out my check, he quoted me an additional $100. When I told him this was entirely unexpected and I wasn't exactly happy about it, he didn't have much to say, staring at his feet and saying that sometimes 'they forget to tell customers' and it's 'based on many factors'. To clarify, we are a straight shot down the highway just a few exits from SCN. Depending on the route, we are 12-14 miles from them. That's it! If they wanted to upcharge for being out of a service radius, they could have been transparent, but they weren't- not to mention the fact that I have NEVER heard of such a short distance being out of a service radius. I have messaged them both through their Facebook portal and also directly to their sales department weeks ago and have heard NOTHING. A $100 gift card or credit for the erroneous upcharge would be a step to making this right, but they don't even respond. SCN has some nice inventory, but they are on the higher end with their pricing if you compare locally. With the added cost, I will have to seriously consider taking my business elsewhere.

They didn't have that but they said they could sell us Sedum 'Blue Elf' which has the same spread-rate and would do the job. When we complained that what they sold us wouldn't actually spread, they said that's all they had. No apology, and no help. I made a few phone calls and found that I could buy 50 Sedum 'Dragon's Blood' plants from another nursery for less than ONE-QUARTER the price of Almo's! I bought a hundred. The place was easy to find and a little under an hour outside of Boston. The selection of Christmas trees is great! The plots of them just keep on going--made decision making very rough. They have probably almost 10 different varieties of trees. All trees cost $60, regardless of size or type. Additionally, the owner was extremely nice and offered help cutting down the trees and helping to move them with his truck if they're too big to drag back. He even gives you a business card with his cell phone on it so you don't have to go find him in case you need that help! He was also super knowledgable about his varieties and helped me narrow down my search (I was looking for a super fragrant tree).
