Murrysville Cleaners - Faded spot on cleaned sham

    Murrysville Cleaners

I've used Murrysville Cleaners three times already this holiday season getting my suit and costume…read morecleaned between Christmas shows. They are just elite at their business. From no nonsense drop offs, clear instructions and timing on the printed receipts, text reminders when your items are ready, and hours that work for even the busiest of seasons - they make getting items cleaned and pressed simple! I've needed tight turnarounds and top notch service.. and they have still exceeded my expectations. Plus... it is extremely reasonable pricing too.

I had been using Murrsyville Cleaners for almost 26 years, and I had not had significant problems…read more I moved to having my cleaning picked up when I lived in Murrysville and when I moved to Oakmont they said I could continue having it picked up at my new home. I had no problems with them picking up my dry cleaning in Oakmont. Their dry cleaning was adequate - not exceptional but adequate. I would have continued to use them. Then, the management changed. I called to have my cleaning picked up and got an earful about how awful the last manager was (who had left), something I didn't need to hear. My dry cleaning was no longer picked up at my Oakmont home on a consistent basis. Sometimes the clothes were on my porch (rain, shine, snow) the entire day. They would apologize but then said I had to have them pick up my dry cleaning up least twice a month or they would no longer pick it up at all. So, I attempted to comply with this. Still, they would miss picking up the dry cleaning about 60% of the time. This almost NEVER happened with the previous manager that they said was so awful. I complained, and the woman who replaced the previous manager was nasty to me (she has NO understanding of customer service). I stopped using them. The owner called and asked me to give them another chance. I told the new manager of my conversation with the owner and this made her really mad - and it became increasingly more frequent that they did NOT pick up my dry cleaning even though they promised they would. The last straw was her arguing with me that the driver told her the laundry wasn't on the porch, when it was, and she believed him and not me. She essentially called me a liar. I'm done. Beware.

Monroeville Laundromat - Customers don't clean up after themselves...

    Monroeville Laundromat

In short, this laundromat should be nicer than it is currently. Lately, it's gone from kind of…read moredirty to really dirty. But, I'll be coming back. On paper, this is a great laundromat. Lots of washers and dryers of varying sizes, an ATM, two coin machines, and a couple of vending machines too. The issue with this place comes from the changes made by the new ownership. They did some upgrades; including new paint, installing a lot of security cams, and firing only employee I've seen working there regularly. I think this is a reflection of the new owners philosophy. The problem is, there is no one during business hours to pickup the used drier sheets, lint, and forgotten clothing that normally accumulates during the day. Customers aren't going to cleanup after themselves and this mess looks bad. The washing machines are need some attention too. Customers are using both wet and dry detergents, so a few of the machines had clogged detergent and softener receptacles. By clogged, I mean there's standing water in the receptacle and I can't add liquid fabric softener. On the other hand, dryers seem fine. It's not all bad, they still have a dropoff laundry service. Now, you have to call ahead to make arrangements. In the past you also had the option of dropping it off with the employee on site. Also, as of January 14th, the ATM, vending and coin machines still work. It seems like the owners are trying to make the place more profitable without increasing prices on the machines. Allowing this place to get dirty has already scared off my girlfriend and I imagine other customers are searching for better options too...

It was months worth n there, I went to the other large washer and the same on the lids. I used it anyway. There were regular customers in there and they stated to me that it is always like that, more so since the pandemic. The dryer was good. I am not sure if I will go back.
