So happy we found the Laundry Factory! They are very clean and kind, every time I go in, there are employees doing a great job maintaining cleanliness and you can ask them for assistance if needed. Washing and drying is a reasonable price. There are wipes if you need to wipe anything down or clean a folding table. It's nice to be able to get everything washed, dried, and folded quickly. They also have services at the counter for dry cleaning and drop off laundry per pound. Overall clean, kind, and efficient - definitely recommend. read more

There's a ton of different sized washers and dryers which is convenient when washing bedding. Washers are pretty expensive, around $4-9 depending on which size you use. Dryers on the other hand are cheaper, around $2-3. Dryers are coin only and the washers all look to have a card machine on them. There is a coin machine in here as well. It's very clean in here, and there's plenty of seating. The washers and dryers are of high quality and very efficient. No bathrooms or drinks available on site though, giving 4.5 stars based on pricing being higher than average. read more

My roommates came here after having bad experiences at Able Laundromaxxx. Here they have 50lb super driers, 80lb loaf accommodating washing machines, and some of these machines take credit cards! It's clean and well taken care of. There is an attendant on site. Candy machines, a tv you can use, and change machines are also available. I was in need of getting my suits cleaned for an upcoming event I was to attend. I looked up Laundry Factory ahead of time for pricing and found it to be fair. I showed up with my two suits, two shirts and two ties. Was given a time to pick them up and I was on my way. Here's what upset me just a bit. The timetable they gave me was fine, until I showed up and my stuff wasn't ready. Good thing I didn't need them that day. I guess if I would have shown up a bit later it would have been fine. But they told me it would be ready the day before, so showing up a day later and finding out that my shirts were just being started kind of irked me a bit. Anyway, with that out of the way, I was fine with it all. Like I said I was prepared and did this early. When I finally had everything in hand I was pleased at the service I had received. read more

Did a couple loads here after my usual spot was gettin kinda gunky. This place is less gungky and maybe more funky. It reminded me of early 1990's shoe carnival and best buy. Maybe if block buster's exterior designer had a side gig itd look like this. Any ways I never once saw an employee at my old spot and I saw like a whole bunch at this one so that's wildly different. The decorum is going strong with tide logos and magenta tinged neons or something like that? They got benches, bowling chairs and even desks to do your homework on! TV (with the commercials and everything!) Smells like chemicals!! The door kept opening and closing!! I brought a book and didnt read a page! That much excitement. I've been to the Laundry Factory a few times to use the large washers to clean my bed comforter and some loads of clothing. The place is always spotless and I always see the employees dusting, vacuuming, etc. The prices here can be kinda steep ($6 for a load in the largest washer), but it comes out even when you think about how many separate loads I would have to do in my apartment complex's washers, which are $1.75 per load. There are always open washers and dryers, even during the peak hours. And also plenty of rolling laundry baskets and folding tables for everyone to use. The decor is visually pleasing and the waiting areas always have something entertaining to watch on the tv's. I highly recommend doing your laundry here! read more

There's a beer distributor next door. Cons: The staff. It's a pretty small space. The staff. It can get crowded, especially on weekends. The staff. It's pricier than other nearby options. The staff. I've witnessed some pretty terrible experiences with the people who work here. The staff puts stickers on the machines they will be using for their services, which is cool...until you're about to fill a machine and they slap a sticker on it just before you put clothes in without saying a word. They tend to leave 1-2 items in the dryers that cost less, so don't expect to use those. God forbid you take a cart you think is empty, they will give you a nickname and talk shit about how rude you are long after you leave. I've witnessed this type of smack talk by the employees almost every time I go there. read more

So Let's start out with the fact that I live in the south side and drive here to do laundry because my local laundromat suuuuuucks. This place has 4 stars so I figured let's give it a shot. Parking lot is small but that's ok there's also street parking! They are super clean and a pretty large laundromat compared to ones i've visited. Washers and dryers worked great! I'm not used to that being the case! Dryers dried and washers washed, as a good laundromat should! Workers were friendly and the machine take cash or card which is greatly appreciated! There is a notice on the machine that I completely missed that says the credit card authorization will be higher than displayed amount so just be ready for that if your funds are low! All in all I would totally prefer the 20 minute drive here for a nice clean wash rather than the one down the street from my place in the south side. read more

Do not dry clean expensive clothing here. Wow. My ivory wool coat got destroyed at this service. I am not looking for reimbursement or payments. Just doing a public service letting people know not to do a dry clean here. The whole texture and the color got ruined. So I had to come here, after my horrible experienceS at my local laundromat. So this to me was a god sent. Clean, Clean, and Clean! This is very important when you're going to a public place to wash your clothes. They had employees there onsite, who were very helpful. My only gripes is that it's a bit cramped; it's hard to maneuver your laundry basket with 20 people around. Needless to say that fact that I can smell clean laundry means I'll be back! Oh yes they have free Wi-Fi, meaning 2 hours of laundry time goes by in a flash! read more

I did go on a weekday so times may vary for busyness but I was able to easily have my pick of washer and dryer. Because they do laundry service they also had staff available to answer any questions. The Laundry Factory has all the bells and whistles. We have utilized their services for years! However, recently my family has had to use the do it yourself laundry service and this is where I have an issue. I love the fact that the place is clean, but I find it offensive when the employee mopping the floor literally mops over my feet as if I'm not standing there. This has happened on more than one occasion. I'm starting to feel as though I am being single out. Also, the closer it gets to closing time the attitudes of the employees change swiftly to unfriendly and borderline rude. I share this experience simply because acquiring a customer is one thing, keeping a customer requires work (ie kindness and professionalism). Management needs to know that these little subtleties will cost them in revenue! read more

Okay I am no laundry aficionado but this is the COOLEST laundry mat. Is that even a scale for laundry mats? On a scale of 1-"cool"? Great space, variety of washer sizes based on laundry weight, and a ton of different areas and seating choices to relax in while your laundry is spinnin away! I used the ATM for a $2.50 fee and was able to get quarters right next to it. My duvet was $3.75 to wash which seems a bit pricey but I enjoyed the environment. The customers were all your average peeps with some quiet conversation. The cashier who gave me change was super hip - is working at a laundry mat the new hot thing? When time is not always on our side I was able to use laundry factory to wash, dry, and fold my cloths. Dropped them off at lunch time and then was able to pick up after work around 5:30, same day! This is a good place to do laundry but the Dry cleaning is SLOW. Like several days plus nearly an hour when I came back. I'm sad because my regular place closed and I was hoping this would be a good placement. I dropped clothes off on Monday and was initially tole they'd be ready Thursday, or 5pm Wednesday if I was in a rush. I was in a rush because my other cleaners had a 24h turnaround, so they promised 5pm Wednesday. I show up at 5pm and the clothes weren't there. The guy running out to get them told me he'd be back in 10-15 min, and I don't live nearby and really needed my suit for Thursday at 7am, so I decided to stick around. Went next door to buy a snack, came back 15-20 min later, still no clothes. The other guys were so nice, kept apologizing, kept reaching out to the other guy - at one point said it would be 5 more min. It was not. I ended up waiting more than 45 minutes after work, instead of seeing my family and starting dinner. Did they offer me a discount? No, they did not. No bueno. read more

They only get 3 stars bc honestly--how excited can you really get over a laundromat? I *hate* doing laundry, but this is my favorite place to hate doing laundry. Why? #1 They are located right next to Doggin' It, so you can toss your laundry in the wash, go next door, drink a 40oz (bc that's how classy I am!), when you're done with the wash, pop your laundry in the dryer and drink another 40oz (bc I hate doing laundry so much, I need 80 ounces of beer to get through it!) #2 Free wifi. Bring your laptop, so while you're hating doing laundry, you can take your lap top next door to Doggin' It, drink beer, and update facebook letting everyone know that you are doing laundry and that you hate doing laundry #3 There's a massage chair. As a general rule I dont get in massage chairs that are avail to the general public, but after 80 ozs of beer anything is possible and I like having that option available to me. #4 The place is clean, and all the patrons seem nice. I am in no way disgusted by sharing a washer or dryer w these folks #5 Many folding tables are available. This is important. If you fold laundry. I hate doing laundry so I don't fold it, when I'm finally done, I toss my shiz in the basket and BOLT #6 Friendly staff. They are like, really nice. #7 Cable tv. The place is surprisingly clean and bright for a laundromat. As Zoe mentioned the prices are very reasonable and you won't find a cleaner place anywhere near Shadyside.
