This is a decent enough place to do laundry. There's a good number of machines (both washers and…read moredryers) so it's easy to bring multiple loads of laundry and to get your laundry day over with. There are also a couple "big load" washers available if that makes more sense for you budget-wise. Aside from the machines themselves, there's a change machine (thank goodness, who carries change anymore?) and you can purchase different detergents on-site if needed. Not a fan of the dryers, though. As of last week a quarter got me about 10 minutes of dry time; so I was almost doomed to keep inserting quarters for an unknown amount of time until my laundry was done. I'm fortunate that there's a working dryer in my apartment building (it's just the washer that's out), so rather than coughing up more quarters for an unknown amount of time, I just took my laundry home to finish there. Nothing else exciting to say about this, it's just the place to go when you need clean clothes. I'm sure I'll be back again given the broken washer here at my home base.

The best part is that it is open 24 hours, not that I really want to be there alone late at night. It is located across from the Giant Eagle and after a certain hour it would be the only open business and is isolated away from traffic. One night I was there late and was accosted in the parking lot by, albeit a friendly gentleman, he wanted to know if I wanted any movies. Ummm.... not really and that made me realize WTH was I doing alone when all other businesses nearby were closed? Yikes. Anyway, as long as there are other people around other businesses it feels safe enough. Prices are probably in line with most other laundromats. I think it was 2.25 for a wash load in the normal size washers and a quarter for about 7 minutes of dry time. They have a change machine that takes multiple bill dominations and I have used it successfully each time I've tried. They also have a machine for hangers (it was out the one time I tried to use that) and detergent. They have soda machines and 2 tvs and seating. I believe they have a restroom but I have not used it. They have several tables to fold laundry and rolling baskcarts with a bar for hanging clothes That all seemed to be plenty available. What I like best is that it is open 24 hours in case I need it to be and plenty of machine availability whenever I've gone there. I usually sit in my car with my phone apps in front of the place while waiting on my laundry. It has huge windows so you can keep an eye on anything. What I like least is the lack of cleanliness. Don't think I've ever been there when employees have been there cleaning up so don't know how often that occurs. All in all, it'll do.

Today, there was no attendant when I arrived about 1 p.m., and the place was still spotless, despite several people doing laundry. What a refreshing difference from the last 2 visits to Shannon Suds. I had a female Yelper send me a "compliment", saying it wasn't the owners' fault for it being dirty, and I wasn't being fair. First, that's NOT a compliment. It's a comment.
