I've lived in Monroeville for over 10+ years and have never been treated so egregiously in my life by a business that this local community claims to trust with their prized clothing possessions On 8/17/26, starting with my first encounter with Kim at the front desk, dismissed my claim that my pants were improperly serviced. She voiced repeatedly that the ticket is titled hemming, which I immediately disagreed with. She condescendingly stated that she took measurements and everything to hem the pants, which I disagreed with yet again. I even pleaded for her to look at the camera footage to see that I pointed to my zipper to have fixed that's it. Instead of apologizing for altering my clothes without my permission...she proceeded to talk over me, minimize my complaint, and insist I pay an additional fee for the exact service I want. I refused and asked to speak to a manager/ owner. She informed me that Joe is the owner and will give me a call the next business day which never happened. Forward to today, 8/21/26, I arrived at 12:40p to speak to someone about my pants. Again, I was forced to speak with Kim, who begrudgingly announced that Joe isn't there and will not be there till Monday. Also, failed to inform me by phone any day this week that Joe wanted to speak to me in person to resolve the issue. I inquired why I wasn't called. She talked over me yet again and stated I would still have to pay to get my zipper fixed in addition to the hemming service. Again, I stated that I did not ask for a hem and why am I not being compensated for a service I did not ask for? She brought out this male, who claims to be a manager. He refused to give me his name. I'll provide a description instead. He appears 5'6 "/ 5'7 ". Blue/greenish eyes, blonde/ brown beard. Black wedding band. Black baseball cap He is as rude, apathetic, and egregious as Kim. He refused to listen to anything I had to say. Talked over me. Insisted I pay another $20 for the initial service I inquired about. Basically labelled me as a liar because the women working the front desk don't make mistakes. Because I tried to reason with me plead that the hem be undone. He mentioned a policy that the jeans need to fit before they can undo or complete a service. I asked to see the policy. He declined to provide it. He called me unreasonable and complicated and asked me to leave. I refused. I asked him to look at the camera footage to see the exact gestures I made pointing to the zipper I wanted fixed. He refused and said we don't have audio. At this point I'm enraged. Voice trembling. Appalled at the service I received. I stated that the way I'm being treated is unfair and racist. I will be taking legal action. I strongly implore anyone of color to think long and hard before receiving services from them! read more

I've come to this place for dry cleaning winter coats, scarves, blazers, and some alterations and have never had an issue with them for the last 3 years. They do an amazing job! The price is worth it as well and is way cheaper than going to Giant Eagle's dry cleaner and they are faster here. They also send you a text when everything is ready for pickup. I brought in a sports jacket for a minor alteration and cleaning. I was told it would be ready in a week. That was 3 weeks ago and three visits to pick it up. Every time I went, they told me a couple of more days and last time they told me definitely Monday afternoon. It is now Tuesday and when I went to pick it up, after searching for it, they told me that it still had not been repaired. I was told that the Taylor has been sick on and off, which obviously I would understand, but the least they could have done was give me a call and let me know so that I could make a decision as to whether to bring it elsewhere. We now have an out of town wedding this weekend and my husband does not have a sports jacket to wear. Very very poor service and One of the women's attitudes was certainly no better than the service. Very disappointed And will not go back for any dry cleaning needs. read more

I'm quite happy with the service I receive here. The prices are reasonable -- they offer two for one prices on slacks. The return time is fair and I've been able to ask for an earlier date and was accommodated. The quality of dry cleaning and pressing is very good. I'm quite picky about not having double creases in my slacks and not having to re-iron everything that I bring home. Sounds like all dry cleaners would live up to that bar but they don't. I have been doing business here for more than 20 years. I currently live in Elizabeth, Pa, quite a hike from the the location, but I have tried local dry cleaners, and had clothes ruined. I don't have a large wardrobe but I do take care of the clothes I have. And no one does it better. In the past 20 years, if s problem did occur, Ruby's is always quick to provide a resolution. The staff had always been courteous and friendly. They make it well worth the drive. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I have never encountered such an unprofessional business in my life. I took my wedding dress to be preserved here in July. Frankly, I should have walked out immediately. This place is dirty and old. I don't think they've renovated, changed their signs or cleaned since 1988. The staff wears old, stained clothing that makes them look homeless. They told me it would take 30 days to preserve my dress. After 60 days, I called to inquire. The woman on the phone was very rude and said that "these things take some time." They finally called me in October and asked if I would like to see my dress before they boxed it. When I went in, the train of my dress was still filthy -- it looked like they hadn't done a thing, or maybe made it dirtier. I certainly didn't want to pay $140 for that. The woman said she would send it back to "her guy" to see if he could do a better job. Two months later, they called and said to come in again. When I got there, they couldn't find my dress. The clueless woman at the counter asked if I could come in some morning when her manager was there. No -- I work weekdays. So she called the manager and finally found my dress. It was somewhat cleaner, but still had many black marks on the train. I asked again if this was the best they could do. The woman then made a rude remark about even having a wedding dress, saying, "I got married in my blue jeans." I didn't think I would get anywhere with a third cleaning, so I told her to just box it up. A month later, they called me to come pick it up. I went in, and the girl at the counter couldn't find my dress again. She had to call the manager. When she found it, I asked about taking it out of the exterior box so I could see the inner window to make sure it was my dress. She looked at me like I was crazy. I told her I had had so many problems here, I didn't want to take any chances. When I mentioned that I'm glad to wrap this up after six months, she didn't apologize and even rebutted what her manager had said about sending the dresses out -- she said they are cleaned in house. Whatever -- luckily I obviously didn't need my dress in a timely manner. Don't take anything of value here unless you want them to keep it for months and treat you like a nuisance. read more

Recently I went to Ruby's (Monroeville) to get 4 expensive shirts pressed. About two days later I received a phone call that a felt-tip pen got in one of the laundry bags they use and stained the shirts with ink. I went to Ruby's the same day to get this sorted out and the worker said the manager would contact me the next day, however, the manager never did. I went back a week later to pick up my damaged shirts and an employee said they were trying to remove the stains and that the manger would call me the next day. Again, the manger never did contact me. It has now been a little over two weeks and still no resolution. I have been going to Ruby's for 7 years and I do understand accidents happen, however, to be treated like this is horrible. I have taken my business elsewhere. read more
