I booked an executive suit in advance and paid the price for an executive suite. Imaguney surpise when my family and I checked in and were given keys to a standard suite and charged executive suite prices. When I contacted the front desk they explained that the room I booked and paid for was not available but that the standard room the put me in was "nice" so I should be ok with paying the higher price. In short, the staff was surly, unhelpful, and patently insulting. I often stay at this hotel but will never do so again. read more

So, my brother, his wife and my niece stayed here last weekend while they were in town for the Eugene Marathon (my brother posted a PR!). Although we didn't sleep here, Ms. K and I did spend a great deal of time in the lobby and my brother and sister-in-law's room hanging out. This presents as a new(er) building. It's pretty freaking huge (six stories?). The lobby is big and spacious, with a number of places to relax and/or wait for others. There is a restaurant on the first floor--didn't try it, but the smells were enticing. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. I asked if it would be all right if I parked my car there for the day (even though I was a non-guest), so we could all go downtown for the Marathon together (instead of having to take two cars). The guy said it was no problem, wouldn't be towed, etc., etc. Very nice accommodations and a friendly and helpful staff. read more

I dont see why they charge so much. The cheaper hotels we've stayed at were just as good. Maids were very loud in the mornings so they kept waking us up. Ridiculous. There were also very yippy little dogs barking all the time. And why in the heck is free breakfast not included for how much you have to pay per night?? The hotel is pretty clean though. read more

I work as an admin for a local non-profit group, and we held a board meeting at this facility. This review will be of the board meeting room / functional meeting space, as I did not overnight in the facility. The meeting room was ready and set up for our group prior to my arrival - which, believe it or not, is rare. Usually facilities are scrambling to set up. They provided ice water, decaf/regular coffee and tea ... nice pens, pads of paper and a placemat that was thick and nice to write on. Their board room seats 12, we had 13 .. plenty of room. Plugs in the center of the table allow for multiple laptops. Room is soundproof! Audio visual equipment is in place although we didn't use it - it looks like it's simple to use. They also had a write on / wipe off board with markers ready for us. Several board members and myself ordered lunch. There was an error on the menu and how one of the salads is actually prepared, however, once pointed out, our host graciously returned to the kitchen to add the missing ingredients. And, although the salads were on the spendy side ($16.40 including gratuity), they were fresh and looked to be made of highest quality ingredients. Lunch also included cheesecake, which was a surprise. Overall, I am very pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of their staff - normally, I encounter one or the other. We have a 100 person banquet scheduled for this facility this fall -be on the lookout for another review. read more

This was the worse experience at the holiday inn.We traveled from the east coast. The beds were lumpy and shaky and uncomfortable. Need replaced. Not a holiday inn bed that's for sure. Took a shower and 45 minutes later the tub still didn't drain. read more

Recently attended a conference here and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms and the food served by catering. The room was large, clean, and well equipped for multimedia presentations. There was water on all the tables and they provided pens and note pads for us. The water was refilled pretty regularly, which was nice. Plus we were given a code for Wifi so that everyone had access. The bathroom facilities were clean and well kept. The catering was very good. Everything was fresh, well stocked, and delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for your meeting needs. read more

The place is really nice and clean and looks like it's updated as well they are still serving the hot breakfast but they take your order and pack it so you can eat it in your room and it's yummy. You can get whatever you want as well from what's offered from 6am to 930am. The price was great for such short notice but with Covid it seems like the prices are better right now. You do have to wear a mask indoors at all times when you step out of your room. There is free parking and free wifi with a great speed quality. The rooms are very nice and very clean and we loves the aloe vera and green tea shower gel and shampoo and conditioner smells really good and you feel fresh and clean. We definitely will be getting that J.R. Watkins stuff and we will definitely stay at this one and others again because the staff there was great and nice and I love the little mini mart they have and very affordable prices. I used a third party site to book with Agoda but I will book next time through the IHG Rewards site because you then get points for your stay but the prices Agoda had for this place was great it was like $72 a night and alittle fee but not a big one and we got that king sized suite. Had those great LG TV's that pull out and rotate, and the channels come in nice and clear got all the primetime networks and some of the special channels like the HBO and Showtime type channels. There lobby is really nice and the whole hotel is smoke free which is nice for us that value our lungs...lol The room was so spacious too it had a lounge chair a desk with a cool touch on table lamp with three settings and this bench type things with built in coat/purse hooks. Towels on a top rack in the shower so you don't have to get out cold and wet. They air and heat conditioner turns on quickly and it's not that quiet but it's not too bad. We enjoyed the quiet hours which are 10pm to 7am they do take a card for incidentals a credit or debit card. No holds are placed though. They also can charge the mini mart items to the room so you can pay later. They take cash and cards. The parking lot is big and they also have those plug in stations for the electric cars like the Tesla and cars like that I saw about 20 stations could be more around the other sides of the building but I only saw from the front side. They have 6 floors and the ice machines are on floors 4 and 6. I went to 4 because I was on floor 5 and I don't like the number 6 bad luck. Except when I comes to my wives birthday...lol the ice machine on 4 was in a small little hot space so just keep the door open while you get the ice it's not hard since the room is small but not like it needs to be big just have plenty of good ice which it does nice and crisp and clear and easy to crunch even though that's bad for you who cares live alittle. :) I hope you all stay here at least once in Springfield much better than Eugene. Only about 10 minutes from Eugene and the hotel is close to great food places and gas places and all the freeway entrances right there and close to a big hospital as well if you need anything. Very clean. The people are very nice and accommodating. They have Colgate toothbrushes and tooth paste for those of us that forget or leave ours behind The coffee is weak. And the breakfast is not free. There are water pipes that are haunted I am sure of it since they banged a gong most of the night. With one terrible customer service exception this place is hands down one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It would've have a solid 5 star if not for one bad experience. The exception is coming; but first: The room was spacious, clean, and very nice. Comfortable lounge chair, cute decor, and an extremely comfortable bed! It was very modern. Rooms has a microwave and fridge as well. They allow and love pets! For a flat $20 my pooch got to live it up. She was allowed to sit at the bar with me. The front desk always baby talked her and gave her treats. The grounds had areas for dogs with bags available for clean up. While I didn't eat or use room service for food, the bar had a decent selection and the bartenders were very friendly, welcoming, and had a heavy hand. Pricing was good. Parking was great and well lit, and the hotel is close to many restaurants. The staff were all (with the below exception) AWESOME. Always smiling, always helpful, and always engaging. Every morning was "good morning!" Every night was "do you need anything before you head up?". They were genuinely friendly and happy people. Superb. Now the exception: Victoria is her name. She is the manager of the house keeping. I left behind a few small items. When I stopped after work the evening of check out to pick them up the very friendly front desk told me that while house keeping was gone for the night, they could ship my items to me. I specially asked if I'd be charged since hotels typically do- and I live about 5 hours away. She said no- because I was there and they couldn't access my items they'd ship for free. Victoria calls me the next day to ask my address, and a credit card. I let her know what the front desk told me about waving shipping. I was then lectured on how the front desk was wrong, they weren't HER associates and therefore not her problem, and no matter what I'd be charged if I wanted my items back. I very bluntly let her know what good customer service looks like and what shit service sounds like- and how as a company there needs to be some accountability. I was again lectured (emphasis on lecture and snotty superior attitude) that I would get charged. So I let her know we need to get upper Management involved. Business owner to business owner- if you mess up own it. Train your staff so it doesn't happen again, but own it to the customer and take care of the problem. A solution was eventually reached when the GM said they'd cover shipping- but it took a snotty conversation and some BS to get there. Should you stay? As long as you don't have to deal with Victoria I'd say absolutely. Someone needs to train Vicotria and what customer service looks like though, or move her to a department that doesn't deal with customers...I would've given 2 starts given this experience, but everything and everyone else were so awesome the hotel deserves to be recognized. read more

I was very impressed by this hotel. The Front Desk staff is very friendly and highly accommodating, particularly Ashley. My room was in top notch condition - both very clean and contemporary decor. I enjoyed the Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Verbena toiletries too! My bed came complete with a set of both soft and firm pillows - nice to have an option, or combination! If you forget to buy bottles of water or snacks for your room and don't have time to run out to a local market, there are vending and ice machines on each floor. Though I didn't need to utilize them this trip, the mini fridge and microwave would make saving/reheating leftovers convenient. One of the most valuable aspects of my stay with them was the free airport shuttle to EUG. It runs periodically (not on demand), but is timed fairly close to check-out/check-in times. It saved me money, time, and planning headaches. Should my travels take me to Eugene again in the future, I'd definitely book my room here at the Holiday Inn on Kruse Way! read more

This hotel far exceeded our expectations! The rooms are very spacious, super clean, and are almost brand-new. The staff was super courteous and even had a dog bowl and treat waiting for us. However, the most amazing part of our stay happened after we left. My son left his Bunny in the room. We called and they immediately locate Bunny and sent us, I KID YOU NOT, Bunny with a full-fledged, printed, color story of what Bunny had been doing during his 'stay' with the staff! It included pictures of Bunny on various equipment and desks, and every staff member personally signed the end of the storybook. We were BLOWN away. Such a thoughtful thing to do. We are so, so thankful to the entire staff for their wonderful service and sweet care of our son's heart and Bunny! read more

Have stayed here in the past and has always been nice. Hotel itself is in fair condition, rooms are nice. I now live in town and had family stay here this past weekend and I joined them. Went down to get breakfast before I went to work last Saturday morning and they had two people handling all the orders. Went and put a very quick and simple order in of a muffin, sausage, milk and orange juice to go. Five other people came immediately right after me and put much larger orders in. The woman who was handling the order took all of orders and mine ended up on the bottom. Put all of the orders out with omelets and waffles for everyone else. Twenty minutes had passed and I was now late for work. I went and canceled my order, upset that I was now late and still hungry. Could have gone to McDonald's and got something. Seriously you had two people working how was it possible to go this slow. My family has stayed here many times, they will not be back when they come to visit which is once every other month or so. My other family members were also upset, told the front desk who literally laughed. They will be calling corporate. Very disappointing. read more

We stayed at this hotel for one night and breakfast. This location is perfect if you are traveling with model s x or 3 because right in back of the parking lot there was tesla supercharger station. Hotel feels clean and new. During this trip to Seattle we stayed at 4 holiday inns only this one had breakfast vouchers. I had time to use fitness room, which had set of free weights and a treadmill. I am writing this review because during my stay over Mother's Day weekend. While in our room for the second night at 1:00am a family walked into our room. I immediately jumped out of bed went down to the lobby, which is where I was told there was a computer glitch. Now if that was all, I wouldn't be writing this right now. We then went back up to our room where our keys no longer worked. At this point I am upset. When I tried going online to "report an issue", I need a reservation number to even try and make a report and the reservation number I have does not work. Then I called and finally got a lady on the phone who gave me another wrong reservation number. It's now just a joke trying to deal with anyone at guest reservations who is supposedly all about customer service. Still trying to connect with someone, hopefully they will reach out. read more

We stayed here last summer twice on our way to and from Seattle. It was a good stopping point for us. We actually got the room from Hotwire for $68. We were quite happy with this new Holiday Inn. Everything was nearly brand new, hotel was quiet, and service excellent. read more

The staff are super nice, the lobby is great and the rooms are lovely. Pool is small but exists. There's a workout space, too. Free wifi. Plenty of safe parking and easy access to the highway. It's within a 10 minute drive to nearly everything in Eugene or Springfield. It's more expensive than some of the other chains on the same strip. If you want to pay for higher quality, I think this is a good choice. read more

As I sit in the lobby waiting for a taxi because their shuttle is no longer available to me I am completely disturbed at their quality of customer service. my mother was taken off of a plane at Eugene airport and is in the ICU at the good Samaritan at Riverbend Hospital I have stayed here for two nights and now I'm being told that I can no longer stay here due to bookings. I am receiving Hospitol rates and they'd rather have a higher paying customers. Their lack of compassion just adds to my stress I personally will never stay at a holiday inn again and shame on them for ruining it for all of them read more

I had a very difficult time with my Expedia reservations yet Mike was able to go above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience at the hotel. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because construction was going on during my stay. We stopped here on a road trip up the west coast. I booked on Hotwire Secret Rate and got a really good deal. The hotel was very clean and nice, the staff was friendly and the beds were totally awesome! We even joked that the beds felt like sleeping on a cheesecake. Our room even had a mini fridge and microwave! My only complaints would be 1. The fitness center, way too small and not enough equipment to get an actual workout and 2. For the price of the hotel they should offer some type of complimentary breakfast or coffee in the morning. read more

Kind of disappointing. I was passing through on the 5 freeway and decided to give it a try. They allow dogs and offer a treat bag, poop bag and even a choice of brand new toy upon check in, which was very nice. The room was clean, but the towels were thin and scratchy. The bed had a definite list to one side. Don't cleaning staff EVER turn mattresses in hotel rooms? Could hear the person or people in the room above me stomping around, which was a drag. There was breakfast available the next morning, but the scrambled eggs were mushy/water and the sausage was bland. My biggest complaint though was the price. Just because it was Oregon Univ. graduation that weekend, they had to hike up the price. With pet fee and taxes, I ended up having to pay over $200 for a single room. Sheesh!! read more

We might have considered Holiday Inn on more stops during our week-long road trip. However, we have two goals when traveling: good price and a sense of the local flavor. A Holiday Inn will never give you the latter. They might give you the former. In planning our trip, this was the only location where the Holiday Inn was remotely competitive to the price we were looking to pay. Further, this location was only one of two on our trip where we were just passing through, and didn't much care for whether local flavor would be achieved. Especially since we were on our way home, tired, and starting not to care anymore. I had reservations for two days later than when we actually stayed there. We had figured out how tired we really were and wanted to cut our trip short. I called them to see if we could move up our reservation. At first the woman on the phone said, "no, it's pre-paid. I'll be happy to add a day for you!" Ummm, what? There's really NOTHING you can do? I am sure she looked at the account and noticed my husband was a rewards member. "Oh, let me see if I can do something." Magically, she was able to switch our reservation with no penalty. When we arrived, we were grateful they were the Holiday Inn, because it doesn't matter when we arrive, as it might at other places. We did arrive late, and got right in. Our room was the biggest of all of them on the trip. Better construction. Cleaner. No issues with the room at all. My husband even said as we were getting into the room, "I'd almost forgotten what a good hotel could be!" We were all quite happy and quite comfortable. Slept well. There is something to be said for homogenized decor, because the expected level of service is homogenized too. But I wouldn't want to make a career out of traveling from one hotel to the next without really knowing what city I'm in. So if we happened this way again, we'd probably stay here again. If I'm in some other city or town I don't care much about, I will look up Holiday Inn then too. Especially if the price is in the budget. read more

I am forever indebted to this Holiday Inn. We came out for a college graduation and EVERYTHING was booked...except for the Motel 6, which is where we originally had reservations. There was a reason the Motel 6 was the only place NOT booked. Long story short, we spent 30 minutes at the Motel 6 and we were OUT of there. So gross (but that's another review). We called the Holiday Inn and they had a last minute cancellation and we swooped it up. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. We were able to book a three night stay in a matter of minutes. For me, the most important thing was that the place was CLEAN. In comparison to the Motel 6, the Holiday Inn was like the Ritz freak'n Carlton! Our room was on the sixth floor. It was CLEAN, spacious, and quiet. If you come back late at night you will need your room key to get inside the lobby. I thought that was a nice safety feature so only guests can get in after hours. There's an indoor pool, gym, and restaurant. Great experience. If I'm ever back in the area again I would definitely book here again. read more
