Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ely - Check in for Vacation!!! - Hotels Near Me - Ely, Nevada

Was in Ely for work and stayed here for a night. I've stayed in other Holiday Inns before but this one seemed even nicer than any I've stayed in before! Service at check in was wonderful. They were on a boil water notice so the coffee machines were down but free bottled water was provided and the room had a Keurig so that didn't affect me at all! Pool was also closed but I had no plans to swim anyway. The room itself was immaculately clean. Comfy beds and great pillows! I seem to have the worst luck when it comes to hotel pillows but these ones were perfect! I grabbed breakfast toward the end of breakfast time so I didn't have high hopes but everything still tasted pretty fresh and there was a good variety. I will likely be back in the area in the future and will be happy to stay here again. read more

Terrible hotel. There's issues getting hot water for showers. Seriously?! This hotel isn't even that old. Staff say customers have complained about this for years and management does nothing. On top of that, the heater units are failing and in my room it gets hot but isn't blowing the hot air, so it melted the unit. THIS IS A FIRE AND SAFETY HAZARD! It created a strong amount of fumes. Had to get my wife and child out while I gathered our things so they wouldn't breathe any more of it. Clearly management and maintenance are not doing anything about these issues. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ely - Heaters malfunction and melt the plastic. This will catch fire at some point. - Hotels Near Me - Ely, Nevada

I've gotten so lucky with Holiday Inn's across the country, and I've stayed in so many (Platinum Elite status). I rarely leave reviews for them because in the end, they're just all the same. However, this location in this lil town blew them all out of the water! I know, how unexpected! Here are some highlights about this particular location: NON-SMOKING: I rarely travel to Nevada because I have no interest in smoke-filled casinos and bars. My nose and lungs totally appreciate this hotel's "no smoking" policy. CHEAP BUT GOOD: For two nights, book two days before arrival, we only paid about $360.00. The building seems pretty new. The entire room was huge and spotless. Comfy bed, great water pressure from the shower and amazing offering for breakfast. BREAKFAST: Phenomenal spread. You get it all. Bagels, toast, pancakes, cereal, juices, sweet treats, hot food including eggs, omelets, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy along with all the condiments you may need. And it's damn tasty. This is your best option for a clean, quiet and comfortable stay in Ely. read more

Staff was super friendly and helpful- even though they were under staffed- room was mostly clean. Definitely could tell it was pet friendly. Lots of loud noises all night long, between banging doors, and the cars racing up and down the highway late and night- bring ear plugs! read more

Everything was great, top to bottom. Clean, friendly, great breakfast, etc.... we will be back!

For the class of inn this is, it well deserves a 5 star review. It is very clean, has friendly staff and a bunch of the small things that make a big difference. Like nightlights in the bathroom, two types of big pillows (feather and not), really nice blackout shades, a comfortable couch, and a really good breakfast. A good portion of the usual suspects in fresh fruit, well stocked scrambled eggs, bacon & saugage selections, they included egg white vegetable omelets and fresh made pancakes. Who has egg white vegetable omelets? They do. I travel to Ely for business and will definitely stay here when I do. read more

Being a Holiday Inn IHG Platinum member I get early check in if available and a free room upgrade. This hotel is one of the better Holiday Inn's I've stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot! The hotel is nice and well maintained and the staff is friendly. The prices thought, I guess out here in Ely, prices are just high due to location. Room was about $170 a night. Here for a couple of night is all, and it's all expensed out, so no biggie. The room was nice and everything worked fine and I didn't find any hairs another color than mine. WiFi was fine too. Free breakfast is included. It's pretty much the same as all the rest of the Holiday Inns with all the same selections. I do love those cinnamon rolls! The coffee is out 24/7 so that's a good thing. This was probably the best choice out here in Ely to stay. read more

Very clean, very spartan. Pricey for the area. After three visits, it's time for a change. Breakfast included. Quality sub-par

Beautiful hotel in Ely, NV. I am a Holiday Inn Express fan. I think they are the cleanest, nicest, most affordable hotels you can find in their respective price range. And this location is no exception. This is a new, very nice hotel in Ely, NV. If we stop on our trips to/from Idaho/California Ely is the closest thing to "halfway" so it's nice that there is a Holiday Inn Express here now. They are pet friendly at this location which is a HUGE plus! There is a $10 additional fee per pet, but it's well worth it. The rooms are large, and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel, as I said, is new so all of the features are updated. Our room had a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in it as well. They have their standard Holiday Inn Express Breakfast which is the best hotel breakfast in my opinion, and it's included in the price of the room. This location also has an indoor pool and fitness center. We didn't use either, but they looked nice. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The only note I have, is there was some kind of sensor (smoke detector, CO2?) directly over our bed which blinked ALL night, and BRIGHTLY! It kept my wife and I both awake. I eventually had to cover it up so we could get some sleep. read more

When planning our recent drive to Ely from Genoa via the "Loneliest Road in America" (aka US 50), I took a look at what hotel accommodations were available. As I'm a Marriott or Hilton points "whore", I looked there first and came up empty. There's a Motel 6, La Quinta, a few road motels, and casino hotels, but it was the Holiday Inn Express that eventually caught my attention. As other reviews have noted, this hotel was very clean and comfortable. And even with COVID restrictions, it felt like the most "normal" hotel experience I've had since last March. Breakfast wasn't a box, but rather the full hot breakfast experience, but by being served rather than dipping into a buffet. Coffee was available without the extra service step, and both breakfast and front desk staff were superb. Other common area pluses were an open gym, pool, and hot tub. I should add that being vaccinated ourselves definitely takes the edge off wondering if something is "safe" or not. Plus I thought the Hotel's overall approach was practical without being "abundance of caution" overboard. Gayle and I reserved a King Suite, which was a large room with a distinctive sitting area, including TV, chair, and comfortable coach. We slept well and in the morning the shower water was strong and hot. The WiFi was easy to access and had good reception. In other words, this was a solid stay and one that I would gladly reserve again, whether it was in Ely or another Holiday Inn Express. And maybe some more dedicated IHG points focus should be in order. read more

Holiday inn Ely This was the cleanest hotel we visited on our entire trip! There was no dust anywhere! We all were very impressed how everything was clean. The breakfast was not a takeout bag, for a change, but they had two ladies who served people whatever they wanted (hot and cold choices). People stayed 6-feet apart. I was able to bring the food up to the room for my kids which was great as I didn't want them among others during Covid. There was coffee downstairs but also in the room. The hotel has a hot tub and a pool which were also very clean. Everyone had masks. View from our room was great. Highly recommended! read more

Went from 5 stars to 1 star after finding out they authorize $250 for "incidentals" on my card even though I paid using points. Was told that was because someone left the water on once and flooded the place -that's why you have insurance. I really loved our time here, beautiful new building, great beds, wonderful pool, but obviously lousy ownership. Will not recommend. read more

We were driving through town and stayed here. The front desk staff seemed very bored. They recommended the restaurant next door which was just ok. The room was very clean and spacious but the bed was creaky and wiggly. We woke each other up all night trying to get comfortable. Breakfast was clean and well monitored. Unfortunately we had upstairs neighbors trompsing and pacing up early at 4am. Not the hotels fault but the overall experience was not pleasant. read more

Small town. Called to work at William Bee Ririe Hospital; a 44 bed hospital! Cool little spot, however being an avid Hilton and Marriott guest, Holliday Inn Express was my only choice. $184 a night during the week which is a little too absurd for this property. Rooms were "semi" clean, but the toilet had several urination stains on it not once, but twice when I stayed at this property (was here back to back weeks); housekeeping does not throughly clean the bathroom, can't expect it at this type of property. Three stars because these properties allow pets of all sorts and the dander/pet hair from previous guests still linger, not cool if you have allergies. Cool view though, especially the junk yard out back that has some interesting messages, lol. First trip here I flew in and out of Vegas (3 hour drive each way). Second trip flew into Vegas and out of Salt Lake City (3 hour drive to SL), which I would highly recommend the latter; beautiful drive. read more

Very clean, very new hotel. This would be a nice hotel in any city, but to find one in Ely like this is amazing. Efficient desk staff, large clean rooms with big screen TVs that you can cast (netflix, etc.) to, etc. Breakfast buffet was good - still a little weird with Covid that you can't serve yourself, but plenty of hot food there. read more

Its been a while since I wrote a review but I wanted to do one today. We were driving to Twin Falls, Idaho from Southern California and needed a place to stay for the night. We stayed here for a quick trip for work. The hotel is brand new, very clean. Free breakfast in the morning. There's a business center right in the lobby. It has an indoor pool and fitness center. We didn't use either but we would have if we were there longer. The rooms have so many little cool things that make traveling easy. The TV allows casting from your phone. There are multiple USB outlets. Plenty of different lights. The bathroom even had the little nightlight outlet. The room set up is great. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in Ely. I'm weird about hotels when I travel, especially in small old town. You never know what you're gonna get but this one is definitely worth it. read more

New. Clean. Comfortable. Can't ask for more in Ely, NV. Great view from the room. Didn't use a y of the hotel's amenities. Check in was quick. Staff were friendly. Took away 1-star because the blinds did not close all the way so the room wasn't dark especially at 445am when the sun came up this morning. I was trying to reserve 2 hotel rooms: room1: Double Queen bed, Room2: One King bed for the 13th-14th one night). I reserved the rooms via hotel's website. I had to put guest one's name and that automatically created an account with my friend's name. Not only that I had to buy one hotel room at a time and the website corrected the date back to the 12th (not the 13th like I wanted). I had to buy the rooms for the 12th then readjust the date to the 13th. I did this and the confirmation numbers that I was given were the same two confirmation numbers as before just the dates changed to the 13th-14 no charge it stated on the website since I changed it within minutes after making the reservations. When I arrived to the hotel today (13th) receptionist said they had charged my card yesterday for a "no show" for both rooms. For today I only had one room reserved (King size bed) no other rooms were reserved either. I had to buy another double queen size hotel room. So for everyone doing the math, I had to pay for 5 rooms (since I had the two reservations and yes, everything was already being charged) then the 2 rooms charged for the day before and still had to pay for 3rd room because the receptionist named Tru could not find the other reservation number, even after giving all the confirmation numbers and dates I showed her via email. I called the reservation hotline and they had to call the receptionist Tru to find the reservation number since they could not see it on their end either. I also told them about all the confirmation codes all three of them (yes two rooms are with the Double Queen beds and one room with a king bed). Those are the only confirmation codes I received. Now spent over $1,000 on what was supposed to be for two rooms and not five rooms. read more

This hotel is CLEAN! We loved the check-in process. The staff was friendly and efficient. We called ahead to get a food recommendation because it was late and we needed food. They had 2 in mind and they were great. The room was spacious and clean. Loved how much fridge space there was. The breakfast in the morning was so nice to have. Clean, clean, clean! Very friendly and helpful staff, this fairly new Holiday Inn Express in what feels like the middle of nowhere is a nice respite from the desert. Their Covid measures are extensive without feeling invasive, they're dog friendly, and they're right in that spot on a drive across NV where you need a rest. Plus, coupons to the casino/lounge/restaurant next door (also dog friendly)! I stopped here twice on a road trip from CA to CO and it was a great resting place with free breakfast, wifi, HBO to watch a movie, and JR Watkins soap products. All in all, a very nice hotel!
