Our room on the…read moretop floor (6th) was comfortable and fairly quiet as long as we didn't turn on the noisy, rattling AC unit. Fortunately at 6,000 ft elevation, it didn't get to hot for us. There is a single, groaning, old elevator to take you down to the smokiest casino lobby. We tried to hold out breath and run through it to the outside and fresh air everytime. There is free, convenient parking out the back of the hotel. The hotel is in the original old part of town on the west end. The town is easy to get from one end to the other so we were never more than a short ride away from wherever we needed to go in town. The staff here are friendly and generally helpful. Their lobby restaurant was closed for renovations while we were here in early June. No worries as the hotel across the street had a decent breakfast.

You will be given a pass to Anytime Fitness. Dog friendly!!! And as of 5/6/23 free of charge for your fur baby. Only con is there isn't a designated spot for your doggie to do their business. However, this wasn't a problem for me since I like to walk my dog for at least a mile so I just walked around the area...I saw some deers !!! The price was worth it for us. We got in around 2pm and took a chance that we could check in. Luckily, there were rooms ready for us and we put into a ground floor room at the "annex' which is diagonally across the street. I'm sure it was another motel at one time and was taken over by Ramada for an expansion. The room we got was a ground floor and in the corner. The room showed some signs of wear, but it was very clean and comfortable. It was spacious enough for us and our 2 dogs. It came with two bottles of water in the fridge and cookies, both were complimentary. Breakfast was pre-packaged at the front desk and it had a breakfast sandwich, juice, breakfast bar and fruit, all in paper bag for you to take with you either back to your room or on the road. There is no fitness center at the property, but you sign out a fob and go a short distance up the street to Anytime Fitness, which beats any hotel fitness center. Like it's been pointed out in other reviews here on Yelp and other sites, the swimming pool and hot tub are in the lobby, just past the slot machines. I've never seen that before! Overall, it was a great experience staying here and will again whenever we are back in the area.

When I arrived without requesting check in instruction 48 hrs before, nobody was available at the office and no envelope, etc. Why can't they just send the instruction by text/email 48hrs before? I was at the parking lot for 1.5 hrs waiting for someone to show up and talking to Expedia. Expedia said the owner was not available and later refused to give refund.

My boyfriend and I stayed overnight Sunday, September 11, 2022 with a reservation. We arrived 9:45…read morep.m., before the office was to close at 10 p.m. The office had already closed. We were able to enter Room 135 because I saw a staff person had affixed to the office door an envelope with my name that contained the keycard. When I entered and turned on the light, I immediately saw that the bed was unmade. We quickly saw that staff hadn't changed the sheets, which contained a few hairs with a stain on the fitted sheet. The two trash cans were not emptied. There was no soap or shampoo. The lack of a fridge made the terrible situation complete. We felt we had no recourse to go to another hotel in Ely, a spec of civilization in a middle-of-nowhere region of Nevada, every other motel likely closed. We left the next morning around 6:50, before the office opened at 7:00. Because there was no key drop, I affixed a sticky note tersely bulleting the deficiencies, stuck it to and wrapped it around the keycard, slid the card in its paper holder, and propped it on the metal push/pull bar of the office door. The management never contacted me or offered at least a partial refund. We will never stay here again. Do not stay here.
