They have two side-by-side store fronts. One is dedicated to succulents while the other is entirely for tropicals. While the plants aren't particularly inexpensive, they are gorgeous and healthy. One thing I did want to note was that I did feel like the staff hovered around me. This is completely understandable since I'm sure they've had issues with shoplifting. That being said, it was a little off putting and I did not enjoy being followed around the store. However, they have a super adorable shop cat which makes up for the hovering! I ended up purchasing an orchid, a crested cactus, and a haworthia and they are all thriving!

I was gonna have lunch then go search for succulent plants somewhere. This was not the first shop I saw. I actually went into every one of the shops leading up to Foliage Garden to check prices on what I needed. This was the cheapest place, and they had a good selection of what I wanted. They don't approach you to see if you need help, so you have to approach them. Once you do, they're pretty nice. I bought 5 varieties of mini succulents. The guy amazingly packed it only with tissue paper and a bag but in such a way that the plants didn't budge in the bag. Told me how to take care of them too. They also have a vast selection of orchids (quite pricey) and lots of other plants. They do close at 3:00, so don't think about coming here after work. But they open at 6 am.

Frustrated, we brought it back to the store, where the owner (?) brusquely blamed us, claiming we had put the plant too close to a window where it would be too cold. Now, this was in September, so it wasn't cold outside at all -- and we'd been told nothing about the orchid's sensitivity to temperature when we bought it. Still, after a bit of arguing back and forth, the owner did let us exchange the plant and we bought a sansevieria (snake plant) and succulent garden that are still going strong. I'd be willing to bet that particular orchid was already sick before we brought it home, and the transportation shock was more than it could handle. We've been back several times since for other small succulents and such, and haven't had a problem with anything else. From a customer service perspective, the older middle-eastern man isn't the kindest, but some of the younger staff (one younger woman in particular) are very knowledgeable and happy to help. TL; DR: Don't come here expecting great customer service; come here for quality plants at a reasonable price.

Mr. king went out of his way to get the delivery guy to deliver it the same day. No bug problem. I've had my beautiful huge palm for 6 months now and it's thriving and happy. I can't wait to go back and see Mr King and purchase another one. He was very nice and generous.

Making Christmas more memorable…read more Now I'm from DC, and was wondering down the street late at night when my boyfriend and I noticed a perfect 3/4 foot real Douglas Fir Christmas Tree that we had trouble finding in out own town. Freaking (FREAKING) out, we made sure we recorded the location and came back the next day. At 10am you think that some excited 20 somethings would freak these gardeners out, but they loved us.
