I live hand to mouth on a fixed income and often have to let bills fall a month behind when…read moreunexpected expenses come up and especially my power bill in winter when the costs are highest. This month EWEB totally screwed me over, when AFTER I had already posted a payment online but before they processed it, their computer flagged me with a diconnect warning and door hangar. They refused to fix it, despite my payment having been scheduled ONLINE before their computer declared me delinquent. This resulted in my being overcharge $27.91 cents that they have yet to explain the full addition of, and my being required to bring my bill fully up to date, which has left me broke from the middle of this month, hungry and in pain because I can't afford medicine. They should have fixed it and undone the computer's error but they told me point blank on the phone that they are servants of the computer, it is their master, they have no control over it and what it says is always right, and that I had to suck it up and suffer for them. Now, looking at the current bill, which printed before they processed the second payment this month and since I already was required to pay all late fees and other charges to keep my power on this month, it should leave a remainder of just over $74 that I owe, and no additional $5 late charges until after tomorrow. But they have a remainder due that is $10 higher than what I should owe with no justification for the extra $10. In addition, my late fee should be less than $5, as they sent out a notice a little over two years ago about a change to the late fee system that if I remember correctly made it something like 3% of the total bill with a minimum of $3. I think it was actually a lower percentage, but at the time I remember doing the math and on most months if I was overdue it should have brought my late fees down. I do not remember ever getting notification they were going back to a flat $5 fee. With my recent experiences with this company, it has become completely clear to me that they are the very model of a heartless corporate machine, and these overpaid fat cats are SUPPOSED to be running their whole business as a Non-profit. UPDATE: Changed from 1 to 2 stars after a little time to simmer down, but my experience over-all hasn't ever been better than 2 stars... I'd say most of the time they are 3 stars but they definitely have their 1 star moments.

I'll never forgive this company. While we were not home they entered our gated back yard, knocking…read moreover a secondary fence we had set up so that our cat could not get out. After not realizing the side of the house fence was knocked over our cat got out one morning and got hit by a car. I should have checked, but never knew someone had even entered our yard. The only way I knew was because our neighbor showed us what their security camera caught. They left the secondary fence up against the house, so they knew it was there. I'll never forget finding my baby on the side of the road... Do better EWeb. Get permission to enter someone's yard if there are multiple fenses up!! And if they aren't home RESCHEDULE. You'll never understand the trauma you caused.... Shame on you all....

Innovative Underground

Review for David Craig - Innovative Underground (Eugene, OR)…read moreAfter eight years of living with a stubborn drainage problem, I had nearly given up. Two of our roof gutters fed into a 65-foot underground line that was supposed to carry rainwater to the street -- but something deep under our concrete walkway and patio was badly clogged. I spent months working with two different companies, each promising solutions that never worked. After four costly attempts, I still had overflowing gutters, water pooling near our foundation, and a growing sense of frustration. Then I called David Craig at Innovative Underground, and everything changed. From the very first consultation -- which was detailed, thoughtful, and worth every penny -- David impressed me as a creative idea-guy with vast experience and true integrity. He looked at my situation and saw several possible paths to success that I never would've imagined. His final design was simple, smart, and permanent: a trench and a new piping system leading to a pop-up emitter, placed well away from the house to disperse roof runoff safely. David was on-site the entire day with his assistant Jay, personally ensuring that every connection, slope, and joint fit ideally. They worked cleanly, efficiently, and with genuine care for my property. It's rare to see that level of professionalism and craftsmanship today. The results speak for themselves: both gutters now drain flawlessly into the new emitter system, even in the heaviest Oregon rain. The stress and worry that consumed me all summer are finally gone -- replaced by real peace of mind. David is honest, caring, innovative, and thorough. He offers options rather than pressure, listens rather than assumes, and brings decades of experience to every decision. Whether you hire him for a whole project or just a consultation, his insight is worth your investment. I highly recommend Innovative Underground to anyone facing drainage challenges. David Craig is exactly the professional you hope to find -- ethical, experienced, and genuinely committed to solving problems the right way.

He and his crew worked on our vapor barrier under our house when we first purchased it. We were very pleased with the job he did then back in 2019. We hired him recently to fix a cracked ceramic sewage pipe, they installed a drain out and a new pipe. They did a great job, and I recommend them highly. David is a very easy-going and professional person and easy to work with. I will hire him again for any work that needs to be done "under" the house . Troy Krusenstjerna.

Tip: The stairs are steep so be aware; they're not recommended for small children or people with mobility issues. When you ascend to the attic, you'll find an impressive replica of the house, and also a nice collection of war memorabilia (Swords, flags, photos, medical instruments, etc.). We very much enjoyed learning more about the history of Eugene; the docents were both friendly and knowledgeable. The furnishings and architecture are from a different time and the tour was informative.

The docent was a very kind and friendly lady who knew the most about Aida but knew something about all of them. I appreciate her honesty when we asked a wished didn't know she would tell us she was not sure but would offer a maybe because... or probably because.... She pointed out what pieces of furniture were original to the home and explained how the rest were donated. So much history! She said the last lady who owned the home was raised in the Campbell House Inn which is actually where we stayed! I didn't take a bunch of photos as I was enjoying the moment and listening to the docent tell us the history of the home. Also many other people have posted great photos here already so no point in being redundant. The docent said it is decorated for Christmas during the holidays and recommended to visit it if I'm the area during that time. The theme was weddings do when we visited as the docent explained that someone had donated a tremendous amount of wedding gowns to the museum.
