Tried them I guesstimated my shoe size in this brand wrong! I am not the best returner - but they were $300 and the wrong size. Called this spot! They said come on down. This Hoka store location is on the nicest part of Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood near the Design District. It's a great place to explore Hoka's full range of running shoes that feature their popular oversized maximalist midsoles. The service is great in the store and they have a huge variety of sneakers and also Hoka branded clothing and sandals. There is metered parking on the street in front and also just to the east on La Cienega Blvd., which I find seems to have more spots available. You could also park to the west and there are three large parking structures in the general vicinity. This is a really fun neighborhood to walk around in. Next door to Hoka there are lots of boutiques, a nice juice bar across the street and several stellar restaurants. read more

I recently bought a pair of Hoka's online and I love them. My boyfriend wanted to get a pair for himself but wanted to visit the store first to see which shoe would be the best fir for him. Honestly I was excited to try the machine and pick a pair, so we went yesterday. From the moment we walked in to about 30 minutes later, not one employee greeted us. One female employee asked if we need anything but every other employee kinda just watched us struggle to figure out hat shoe was best. We had to ask someone to try on a couple pairs of shoes and that seemed like it was inconveniencing him. He came over and kinda tossed us a couple boxes and didn't even get the ones we asked to try on. If it weren't for that foot measuring machine we wouldn't have known anything about the shoes or which ones to buy. We actually ended up leaving and doing research online and just bought a pair online. Was worth it to pay for shipping rather than deal with the horrible customer service here. Also to note, the store seems larger but it's actually super tight if you're trying shoes on or browsing. In A Nutshell: -I came here for some new Hoka's specifically trail shoes. -I had some high hopes for this store since it was located in Melrose & it's large size. -I was a little disappointed w/ the selection. -There didn't seem to be a lot of choices for a store of this size. -The layout of the shoes wasn't ideal either w/ it being hard to figure out the men's & women's shoes from each other. -There also didn't seem to be a lot of men's apparel either. Went here on a Saturday afternoon to try on and buy some hiking shoes. Although I don't think I was greeted either when I entered, like other reviewers mentioned, I still had a good experience. When we were able to flag down the sales associate, she was all smiles and very helpful scanning our feet and bringing us various styles and sizes. The foot scanner was really cool. It told me what kind of arches I had, how wide my feet were and a size suggestion. The results were less accurate for my husband but I thought it was a good starting point. They have little panty hose socks you can use if you forgot to bring your own socks but I recommend bringing your athletic/hiking socks for proper sizing. 30 day return policy. I'm gonna wear mine as often as I can to be sure these are the right shoes to bring on my trip. Hopefully I don't have to go back to return them! Parking SUCKS. Some meters available on the main street and permits needed in the residential area. I parked in a residential area where they allowed SOME non permit parking in one section of it but it's only on one side of the street, so be sure to carefully check the parking signs. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had. To be clear, I am NOT talking about the people working in the store on Melrose... they are all lovely. I am talking about the company of HOKA. Let me explain further... I went to the Melrose store to try shoes on and everything was great, but they didn't have the color/size of the two pairs of shoes I wanted. So I placed the order online. But the order somehow went to an old address in another state. (note: I have ordered shoes from HOKA that "did" end up at the correct address) ... the package was stolen from the address the shoes were sent to, so I followed HOKA's procedures and filed a claim with FedEx. FedEx denied the claim and I have called HOKA customer service FIVE TIMES and spent over 3 hours on the phone with them, but they won't believe me and keep sending me back to FedEx (who keep sending me back to HOKA) ... needless to say, I've spent $250 on two pairs of shoes that I will never receive because of HOKA's incompetence. And the only recourse I have is to leave a shit-ty review here. So, thanks for everything HOKA ... enjoy my $250 ... I will never buy shoes from you again. My brother had long wanted to try Hoka shoes because of their renowned comfort ability but it was so difficult here and I hope their other stores are better. We walked in and shoe boxes are everywhere with people like mobbing the shelves. There were 3 sales associates and we saw many leaving as we walked in, all looked extremely overworked. I had to ask a different rep to try on another pair. Neither rep asked me how the shoes were or if I liked them. They are not proactive but will only help if asked. Visited yesterday w my mom who is an avid Hoka connoisseur. She has at least 10 pairs. She usually gets them from fleet feet in Central Valley. I saw there was a Hoka store in LA so we made the trek from the westside to Melrose. Street meter parking didn't accept dimes or nickels. I ran out of quarters so used card. There was $15 flat rate parking if you didn't want to look for street. The residential was permit only btw. Anyways, nobody greeted us when we walked in. There's like 10 seating spots. 6 stools were all clustered together, but customers put their bags and shoe boxes on them, so only like 3 customers can actually sit to put the shoes on. I made eye contact w like three of the sales people. The guy w long hair was walking around avoiding the customers. The tall girl was focusing on one customer at a time. I finally asked the girl if she had any size 7s and she said one pair in black. So I tried them on and they fit but I wanted white. I gave the shoes the third sales person and he was very helpful and friendly. Just a horrible retail experience. Nobody greeted us. Nobody asked if we knew our size or offered to measure us. Nobody explained the difference of the different line of shoes. Not a welcoming or comfortable experience at all. I ordered a pair of shoes, they were delivered, and I realized I did not need then. I haven't worn them at all, and followed the instructions on the website "return" section. I have been trying all day and continually get the message, "The Return Department is Not Available!@!!!!" WTF??? I'm leaving on a trip in two days, and they're "not available???" How in the heck can I return the item? To make it worse, I called both phone numbers listed, and got a menu where a pert female voice gave me three options--all of which gave me yet another recorded message. The recorded message about returns told me to do exactly what I had done--fruitlessly. Wow, this is frustrating.
