His burger was very basic & lacking in flavor, my wings were the saltiest I've ever had...they were AWFUL. After a quick Yelp search for cocktails brought up a speakeasy, we knew we had to come here. Who doesn't love a little entrance intrigue and password hijinks when in search of a cocktail? We strolled up to a cute little coffee spot where a gentleman met us, warned us they smoke cocktails inside (just in case you're not ok with that) and then led us through a freezer (not actually a freezer but a secret door) that brought us back to a chic little cocktail bar in the back. The cocktails? Amazing. Truly stunning. The service? Pitch perfect. The atmosphere? Chic while still being comfortable. Know you might have to stand a short while. The spot is small, they have 3-4 standing tables where they have you stand until there's an available table. We probably stood a total of 4-5 minutes on a Saturday night in April. I wish I lived closer. This would absolutely be a regular stop. Get to it.

We started with the soft pretzels and beer cheese (excellent), but the absolute standout was the Celtic Spice Bag for the entree. I can't recommend it enough--you have to try it. I've been to a lot of Irish pubs around the world, including plenty in Ireland. A lot of places think that slapping some Claddaghs, harps, and four-leaf clovers on the wall while blasting the same five pub songs we all know by heart is enough to make an Irish pub. Boudicca's has the decor and the music, sure, but that's not why we'll be coming back. When you walk into a real pub over on Salt Hill in Galway Bay, what actually makes the place special is the atmosphere. It's the genuine welcome from the people, the care behind the bar, and food that feels unique. Boudicca's captured that exact feeling right in the middle of Tennessee. The staff was fantastic, the vibe was perfect, and we had an absolute blast. Highly recommended.

I've got to admit I was put off a bit by the indoor smoking, something I'm not used to at home and wasn't expecting. He made good drink suggestions and was efficient and fast with service. We stared with fried deviled eggs as an appetizer before playing a few games of pool. They were very good! The right mix of crispy, savory, and salty. Later for lunch, we had The Gym Burger (pretty good but could use some seasoning in the beef), the chicken sliders (tasty!), and the Stacy's Wrap which was an interesting item and good, though I think i would add a vegetable like onions next time for some texture. The pool tables were $1 of quarters per play which seemed reasonable and they have a change machine if you needed it.
