The wings are chargrilled and they were very tender and bigger than most places. I normally don't like barbecue wings but the BBQ sauce on these was great tasting. The service was excellent. The server and others would check in on us to make sure everything was ok. The place is small and upstairs in a covered open air space so you could experience the vibe outside. We strolled up to a cute little coffee spot where a gentleman met us, warned us they smoke cocktails inside (just in case you're not ok with that) and then led us through a freezer (not actually a freezer but a secret door) that brought us back to a chic little cocktail bar in the back. The cocktails? Amazing. Truly stunning. The service? Pitch perfect. The atmosphere? Chic while still being comfortable. Know you might have to stand a short while. The spot is small, they have 3-4 standing tables where they have you stand until there's an available table. We probably stood a total of 4-5 minutes on a Saturday night in April. I'm not the biggest fan of sweet drinks in general, and especially not sweet alcohol. But I wasn't about to pass up an opportunity to taste some of Old Forge Distillery's moonshine and gin. They also make vodka, whiskey and rum. The gin was good! It doesn't taste like traditional gin, because they age it in bourbon barrels, so it has a little bit of a caramel taste to it. (In my opinion.) The moonshine and the cream liqueurs are where you will find the crazy flavors. I think my favorite was the coffee moonshine, which tastes like a wonderfully spiked black coffee. Samples are plentiful. The bartender told us which ones were crowd favorites, and also recommended some that I would not have picked myself. They also have a huge gift shop with lots of tchotchkes, plus bottles of their goods to take home with you.

Served with piping-hot thin fries, hand-cut to give a variety of crispier vs. soft bites. You could get that as a small-plate, as a Po'Boy sandwich, or as a main. And we had a bowl of thick rich flavorful creamy chowder. Delicious, satisfying dishes. They had a nice selection of deep crusty savory pies, too. We loved their amazing range of single-malt whiskeys, including some like a smokey softly-fruity Port Askaig that we haven't seen elsewhere. We liked slowly sipping a strongly-peaty young Islay, like 10-year Laphroaig, and Boyd's also had plenty of smoother well-aged pours up and down the price-range. They also had a nice selection of crafts, ales, stouts, ciders, and several Scottish brews. We saw that they have live music almost every evening (not Mondays), with midday music Sat and Sun. Scottish, Irish, bluegrass, old-time, classic country, and more! Next time we have to fit that into our schedule. And fútball (soccer) of course!
