I think they have some of the best chocolates around. and I find myself saying this every time I go. Friendly folks too.

Not the best experience..the one lady was very slow making milkshakes and asked if she could use a different leftover flavor to add to mine, then she didn't even fill it all the way up and tried to serve it to me. She seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. The milkshake was very blended and almost milk. Definitely not worth $9. read more

The chocolate was not as good as "Helen Grace Chocolate's," but it was good. I can agree with the last reviewer about everything being over priced, but if you just want to grab a few pieces to have while you're there, go ahead splurge. The chocolates and factory are amazing. Over priced but they have the best candy...BUT the christmas display was the most discusting, pathetic display I have ever seen. They should be embarrased to have it next to their beautiful store. The display consisted of trees with light and a few wornout holiday figures sitting on dirt. The train display could be beautiful again if they would fix it up and not just have it sitting in the dirt. You should be ashamed to put this kind of display for Palm Beach County. I saw two signs outside and inside mask wearing which was great! I always wear masks and keep them in my car. I walked into the store, not really busy near the chocolate section so I said to the man behind the counter what I wanted and size of box. He walked off and I waited 25 minutes and he never came back. I noticed a family of 4 walked in with masks around their necks. They were not eating in the store. They stayed by the cash register with a large order of chocolates. I moved back 20 feet from them. They did not mention masks to them and I asked why? I was not satisfied with his answer. He started helping them and forgot about me. I called Greenacres Management and told them I had 2 complaints - 1 a family not wearing masks and 2 the man behind the counter forgot about me and went to help the family. I waited 25 minutes and walked out. Management told me "they cannot enforce anyone to wear masks". I said why do you have two signs up?? Got no where with this subject. The second comment I made was the man behind the counter never came back to me with the candy I ordered. I walked out and will never go back to that store again. Management was very unprofessional. Management was not physically located in the store. It was a phone number I called. She ensured me she would get back to me why that man never helped me with that order. I never hear back. read more

Perfect. That's the best word to describe this. The only reason why this place is shy of 5 stars is because I was charged 20 dollars for two small ice creams. Aside from this everything was amazing. Staff friendly, ice cream amazing. I got vanilla which I could even taste a difference. I highly recommend this place if your eating in the plentiful area!!! read more

I rarely review establishments but this visit tonight left me no choice. We had eaten dinner at a nearby restaurant and walked to Hoffmans for dessert. We have three children -3, 6, and 7. Our 7 year old had a particularly hard time deciding on his purchase (we allowed each of them to purchase ONE item). All of them selected pre-packaged chocolates - ex. Choc covered Santa, teddy bear, etc. About a second after walking out the door, our 7 yr old decided that he would ha e preferred the pre-packaged s'mores. When I asked about the possibility of an exchange ...or even eating the $3 difference that Hoffmans would make...they told me that despite the computer system in they're store that there is NO WAY for them to void or exchange a sale. I would understand if I was attempting to return choc after a few hours or a day's time but the employees literally saw us walk out and U-turn back in. I asked what would happen if their employees mistakenly entered an incorrect sale...are they not able to void the sale? Although my family enjoys the chocolate...it's chocolate...is it hard to mess up?! ... Due to the lack of customer service and empathy we will not be returning. read more

Stopped into Hoffman's Chocolates in Boca Raton recently to buy a few boxes of candy as gifts. The candy is great quality & variety. I was hoping to treat myself to a favorite - dark chocolate cordial cherries. Unfortunately, they were out of them - but the manager said she'd be sure & have them re-stocked within the next couple of days. While talking to the manager I noticed the ice cream case & was thrilled to see a hard to find favorite of mine - real cherry vanilla - not the pink ice cream with the chopped sweet red cherries - but the real quality vanilla ice cream with lots of dark cherries throughout. It was delicious & I took a container home for later. I did stop by a few days later & was able to get a box of the dark chocolate cherries to bring home for us & left with another container of that cherry vanilla ice cream as well. I walked past Hoffmans the other day heading to lunch with my son. The door to Hoffmans was open and the smell of the chocolate was absolutely amazing. All during lunch all I could think of was CHOCOLATE. After lunch we headed straight over. The store is clean and the staff was very friendly. We decided to get a whole bunch of assorted milk and dark chocolates. They have everything from chocolate grahams, chocolate dipped marshmallows, fruit, turtles, smores etc. we were in chocolate heaven. That night I decided to try most everything lol. I have to say everything was delicious. The chocolate was smooth and not chalky. Everything was fresh and as good as I hoped. Next time you need a chocolate fix, go to Hoffmans! read more

It's the best place in town for quality chocolate! I had stopped going for a while because I was told they didn't carry the dark chocolate chips for melting. I'm so glad I took a chance and called them because the new manager started carrying them again. She was really helpful and very friendly when I went to pick them up. read more

Well there is no accounting for taste. Perhaps you should stick to the dollar store. It seems that Hoffmans is a bit beyond your pallet. As for the"30's" feel DUH.... it is supposed to feel that way. They must be doing something right since they have been in business for over 35 years. Besides hand made chocolates are rare to find now a days. read more

Terribly overpriced. Chocolate not as good as the premium bars available at Whole Foods. Cashews in the bark tended towards soggy instead of crisp - all three milk, dark & salted. Same with the soggy pretzels in the chocolate covered - milk and dark. Ice cream was fine, but the portion was excessively small for $4.95. One dollar more added another meager portion. Do yourself a favor and for the same money go to Kilwin's in Delray Beach for decent portions and better chocolate. read more

A good friend of mine gave my husband and I a box of Hoffman's chocolates for Christmas (1 pound) and we both thought they were delicious! I have had Godiva and the other popular chocolates, these were really, really good!!! We had to pace ourselves or we would have eaten the whole box that night, that's how good they were! Going to get some Hoffman's for my husband on lunch hour for Valentine's Day! I thought why not give them to him and then we can both enjoy them!!! read more

I've been to this shop many times over the years. I love all of their different kinds of chocolates. I usually go after I have dinner and I bring home some chocolate snacks that I eat later. I usually get some milk chocolate graham crackers that I absolutely love. They're delicious. I'll also sometimes get their ice cream which is very good. They're always very nice there and all of their products are delicious. read more
