This project was long and stressful. We signed the contract in March 2025. We had a discussion…read moreabout the expectations about our back yard porch which introduced a change. Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company.

Let me share with you my experience,…read more Walter their salesman came out to give me a bid Once he found out that Home Depot had done the estimate already, he just used the amount of boxes which was about 80 for the estimate. He did no measuring or anything else. He was gone in about 10 minutes. (I needed only labor as I was purchasing the material from Home Depot.) Once we agreed on Price to have all the existing solid wood baseboard, removed the new floor put down and the baseboard put back. I agreed to the job. Pricing; I agreed on 50% down and 50% when the job was completed to maintain some control of the final product I'm very glad I did this. Their policy is to get 100% upfront, which I never recommend anyone for any service, ever do. The very next day after agreeing on terms with Walter, I got a call asking for 100% of the money I told this lady that's not what we agreed to and she said well that's what we normally do and I said you better call Walter. I'm gonna cancel the job. She did came back excepted 50% Overall, the subcontractors that came out from a company called Sun sunshine floors did a pretty good job putting in the material But it's the follow up , putting doors back on , getting trim put back on that was a real headache and took me almost 30 days to get done and also a threat of a complaint to get what I considered to be a very reasonable discount about $370 off my bill In the end, I fixed the existing problems myself because it was too much of a headache after they finally agreed to give me the discount Finally, a reminder again if you use this company, do not pay 100% upfront you'll have no control over the job over anything that needs to get fixed and you'll be working on their timetable, while they have all your money ------- Part 2 It's smart that Kelly took down her first knee jerk response to my above comment since is was inaccurate and not well researched. "Telling me I agreed not to leave public comment in agreement for the discount" -that was true if you accepted my generous offer.... the first go round. I'm going to guess that she finally got around to actually reading.... the 2nd email with my threat to file a complaint with yelp. Poof.....gone and replaced with boiler plate sorry we messed up and we should have done better. " Kelly, I wish you would have taken seriously my first initial complaint to your company and really taken the time to call me and find out what happened, Sincerely apologize, accept my generous offer and maybe even go a bit farther to make me happy and satisfied, If you had done so, we wouldn't be having this stupid engagement in the first place. We can't speak highly enough about their integrity, honesty, attention to detail, and quality of craftsmanship. Don, Baker, and their team always make great suggestions for design and function, while incorporating our ideas and aesthetic as well. My favorite aspect of working with Full House is their communication. When they say they'll arrive at 8 am, they are there at 7:55 - they know my time is valuable. They are great in communicating via phone, email, and in person, and are very proactive when a setback or problem is discovered (oh, the joys of owning a turn-of-the century house!), and give a variety of options on how to proceed. Having worked with other contractors on smaller projects, this is definitely an area in which Full House goes above and beyond and really sets them apart. What's more, the Full House team are stand-up individuals, who are fun to be around. This always means a lot to me because I work from home and "oversee" all our projects. This was not a great experience. Initially, I contacted Aaron, the owner, to replace a basement…read moreshower door, after the - likely original - shower stall door started to come off its framing, before my neighborhood handyman (who charges less than half of Aaron's day rate) fixed it. I regret that I didn't simply leave the situation there, keep my old shower stall door/frame kit, and save $1K. However, at the time (June 2024), I had high hopes that Aaron could become my general contractor, for me to eventually hire to renovate my kitchen & bathrooms upstairs. So I hired him to test him, with 5 specific projects: 1) Basement Shower Stall Door/Frame: - Given I was a new homeowner, I had no idea what I was doing, told him as much, and asked for his help. I measured the shower stall, told him some ideas of that for which I was looking, and - given he's a General Contractor, who told me he's originally from New Jersey, and was hired to renovate an entire house in Mill Valley, CA (posh NorCal) during the pandemic, I mistakenly trusted him. He told me to find shower stall kits on HomeDepot.com, have it delivered to the store, then he'd pick it up at the store in his truck, and remove my old shower stall door/frame. What he failed to do was verify the kit I sent him - before ordering - matched the measurements, after I specifically asked for his guidance/help, and he offered to help me. Then - worse yet - he was unethical, unlike my neighborhood handyman, as he never told me during the install that it was the wrong measurement / size, for that shower, installed it anyway, removed my old shower door/frame/kit, without discussing this with me, told me to get out of his way and go upstairs and "trust him," then I realized after he left that it was the wrong size. Worse yet? He removed the tile, grout, caulk, and new paint, and when I contacted him to fix it in June 2024 - before my July 2024 Breast Cancer Diagnosis, hence the delay - he never replied to come fix it. 2) Crawl Space Access Door: - Same goes for this. He told me he has a jigsaw, so he could fix the wood frame and install the door properly around it, that I'd already purchased through my HVAC contractor, only to leave the wood in piece meal around it, allowing bugs to enter my home, which was the entire point of his work. Then he sloppily sprayed fire foam around it, and it looks significantly worse than if I'd just hired my neighborhood handyman with a day rate less than half of Aaron's to do it, in the first place, who I now need to hire to fix it, including creating a wooden frame with a proper fit, flush screws, and a cement bottom, to match the wall. My handyman quoted me $187.50 for 1.5-hours for this specific project. 3) Bedroom Vent: - When my HVAC technician moved one of the vents in my primary bedroom, the base board needed to be patched, as well as the carpet. Aaron bought the wrong base board at the wrong Home Improvement shop, told me that was the only option, only for my neighborhood handyman to tell me - yet again - that Aaron was wrong/lied to me, and that my current baseboard is still replaceable with an exact match, so yet again, I need to hire my neighborhood handyman to fix Aaron's work. 4) Kitchen Calendar Wall Hook: - I know this was simple, but while he was here, I thought he could help me make this more secure, but - yet again - my neighborhood handyman had to re-do it. 5) Flag Anchor Front Porch: - Yet again this was done with the wrong hardware, that was not aesthetically pleasing, so my neighborhood handyman re-did it. Overall, it's not just the fact that Aaron's rate was near double my neighborhood handyman, it's not just the fact that he made numerous mistakes, after reassuring me I could trust him, as I told him these were test projects for bigger scale work, it's the fact of how Aaron handled the mistakes, by ignoring me, hiding the shower door mistake, and refusing to fix the mistakes, over 1-year later. Whereas, my neighborhood handyman has made mistakes before, and he owns up to them, and fixes them without any issues. We're all human. :)

Company has not met any of its commitments to me…read more Original contact May 15th. Technician was to come on May 25th and contact me before that. I texted on May 23rd saying I had not heard from the technician. I never did hear from the technician, and no one came on the 25th. No follow-up from the company. On June 3rd I texted them again saying I had not heard from them, but we still wanted to do it. Rescheduled for Monday June 9th. On the preceding Friday they asked if we could move it to Tuesday the 10th. I said fine. On Tuesday morning they told me it would not work for them that day, and that they would knock $100 off the price in consideration of the repeated inconvenience and come on Wednesday, today, the 11th. Today, no show and no call. It is now 27 days after my original contact and this work has still not been done. I'm going to have to find someone else.

Hired Bogdani to assemble and install a kitchen purchased from Ikea. The contractor arrived on…read moretime, but that was the last (and only) good thing to happen. The cabinets were assembled, but not according to the instructions, clips to secure the back panels were not installed, so the panels are all loose, the back panels for a corner cabinet were installed wrong side out, so they are now brown, not the white they should be.Ikea supplies a mounting system using steel rails that the cabinets are to hang on, the installer chose instead, without checking with me, to instead cut out an section of drywall and install boards to screw the cabinets to. Some of the panels were damaged, anything that needed to be cut has a jagged edge, likely from using a dull blade. All the back panels that needed to be cut for outlets or plumbing appear to have been done by guessing, there are huge gaps where there should be none. Nothing was leveled (necessary for the countertop installers) or set to the correct height. To date, I have spent 15-20 hours of my time replacing damaged parts, leveling and setting heights, and repairing the gaps his "better" mounting system left. I cannot recommend hiring this contractor to do anything more complicated that possibly installing a shelf, and even for that, I'd check to be sure it was level. The quote we got was in line with what Ikea told me to expect, and I would not have had an issue if the provided plan and instructions had been followed, but what I paid for this borderline incompetent work was out of line.
