Sitting in my car, I already felt the anxiety building because dental visits can be nerve-racking for me. When I checked my appointment again, I realized I was actually scheduled at Fair Lakes Family Dentistry, so I drove over hoping this experience would be different. The moment I walked in, the beautiful lobby and welcoming staff immediately shifted the tone. A.D., the dental assistant, called me back and introduced herself with such warmth that my guard began to lower. Our conversation felt natural and calming, which helped me relax before the appointment even began. Then I met Corey, the dental hygienist. When he spoke, I noticed his accent and asked where he was from. When he said Memphis, I smiled instantly--because I'm from Memphis too, born and raised. That small moment of connection turned what could have been a stressful appointment into something much more human. Corey listened as I shared my past dental concerns and experiences. His empathy, patience, and attentiveness made me feel like a person, not just a patient. So I left without receiving any cleaning at all. What really raised a red flag: when I said I couldn't afford the treatment, they suddenly lowered the price. By then, the trust was gone. My insurance company s asking me to pay the overcharge of $128. This is not just incompetence but stealing. What is worse than that is that the dentist overlooked my wife and my daughter's teeth for cavities that should have been addressed. As a result of gross incompetence my daughter had to get her cavities filled by another dentist. My wife unfortunately had to get a root canal. Again this could have been avoided and prevented and was not. The dentist, Donna and the dentist wife (bookkeeper) are grossly incompetent.

RUN BEFORE YOU GET SCAMMED…read more I emailed them to get a quote for Vivera retainers and was quoted $700 (+$59 "evaluation"). However, what I received were Essix retainers. When I showed them the email, they said it's just a misunderstanding. Great! A dental office misunderstood between retainers made by Invisalign and retainers made in their lab. Not to mention, my Essix cracked after 1.5 months and they said it's due to grinding. However, I had worn my aligner for almost 2 months without issues. They suggested a $250 nigh guard, but didn't answer whether it could function as a retainer. They said if they provided Vivera, it would crack as well. But as I researched, Vivera is much more durable, that's why I chose Vivera at the beginning. Even if you're considering Essix, please get a quote from several dentists. I promise you'll love yourself for doing so. They charged me another $500 for removing attachments. I didn't have time to research because they asked me to sign immediately and didn't quote that in the email. Just wanna let you know that other dentists do it for around $200. After arguing for 1 day, they refunded $700 (not $759) upon Essix's return. I could have lost that amount if I called. Please email/text so you can keep proof.
