I begin to gag as soon as any numbing is applied; I cannot breathe very well through my nose, so I gasp when the numbing takes effect; I do not like laying flat on my back while people are over me and I really dislike objects in my mouth. And on top of that, I actually need a lot of professional dental care. I am completely aware of how hard I can be for a dental team to deal with and have sadly gone through several dentists over the years. I first met Dr. Tan a few years ago at her old practice in the Heights. I have never encountered a healthcare provider who is more patient, compassionate, gentle, detailed, and caring. She takes her time to explain everything very thoroughly, goes completely above and beyond to form a relationship with patients and makes you feel as comfortable as possible. She is also just an amazingly skilled professional which is super clear from all the pictures of her work (and the finished product I can vouch for). Additionally, she has built a team that exudes the exact same qualities. They are such an amazing group of people...which is why I drive all the way to the other side of town for all my dental work and would likely drive for hours to get to them if they ever moved. The hygienist did a great job! Mouth and tooth pain can be the worst kind of pain. I just had several cavities filled in one session and it was the best experience I've ever had.
