Went to Hobo's on a Monday night last week with a few of my buddies. We had an excellent time. The service team did a great job of having everything out on time. The beer selection had something unique for all of us. The burgers and fries that we all had were delicious and on temperature, which surprisingly seems to be the rarity around here. It was also nice to see management walking around and checking on everyone. I would recommend this spot for some casual after work beers and grabbing a bite to eat. read more

This place is an absolute joke! I never leave reviews and love supporting local businesses but I don't want anyone to make the mistake we made of going to Hobo's! Got there on Saturday night at six, they told us it would be an hour to an hour and half wait to sit outside. So I said ok we will take first available. Ok that's fine it's sat night we understand. so we wait and we wait and we wait. Finally one of our dinner guest go and ask how much longer. The girl at the front "claims" she has been trying to call us. Meanwhile EIGHT people were seated after our name. Thinking since we waited that long we would sit outside. No it was inside in a booth! We have small children with us who would of loved being outside. Anyway moving on! We get seated and our waiter ( I won't say the name) but young boy took our drink order and i said the kids meals come with drinks right? " oh yeah" ok great What drinks do you have for kids. "Umm. The ones on the menu". Oh ok sorry you can't tell me so I order a root beer for my son (which I got charged $2.00 extra at the end) THATS WHY I ASKED! Anyway we order our food ! We orders two burgers, a grilled cheese and cheese quesadilla that's it's! 52 minutes later after our kids are losing their minds our food is brought out! Chips and fries were cold! My burger was suppose to be medium well it was burnt! My friend requested bacon on hers it wasn't there. The bread in each burger was so hard we took it off. My son wouldn't even eat the grilled cheese bc the bread was so hard as well. No napkins or silverware. 18 minutes after we get our food our waiter finally comes over to check on us. No ketchup in the bottle either! We get done wait another 20 min to see if our waiter is coming to check on us to get the check! NOPE he is sitting, rolling silverware. I'm sorry I work hard for my money and would rather not spend it on cold burnt food we waited hours for. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Food was delivered quickly, yet it was on the cold side. Pretty sure my fried green tomatoes were just reheated as well as the bacon, just seemed less than fresh. Decent pub fare in downtown fort mill. Hobos is actually a decent place. It's definitely improved recently. Food quality and selection are above average for a pub like restaurant. Live music on the weekends is also a nice touch. I do like local dish better for food quality (which is right next door) but hobos is a decent second choice if you can't get in. All in all hobos is a good place to get a burger and a beer, and even bring the kids. read more

There are some very good items on the menu, but many are hit or miss. I personally prefer the fried pimento balls and chicken and waffle sandwich. The outdoor seating area is very well set up, but the inside is crowded towards the front of the restaurant and lightning is too bright. read more

ADULT MILKSHAKE. Get an adult milkshake, they'll make your day, night or morning :). They are truly the best thing they have one the menu. Sure the food is good, American food but you must come for the milkshakes. read more

Disappointing because the food is good. They seem to have a staffing issue, been a few times and have had issues each time. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes with a work associate before I had to ask someone to grab a drink. On a separate visit was told they had no booths available by hostess even though you could see available booths. Didn't argue and was seated at a table, just to watch a walk in customer get seated at a booth. Nothing seems to be important pertaining to customer satisfaction for them. Staff is aloof and not trained on customer service and hospitality, and seem like they are not coordinated with each other. Have stopped coming here consistently because of staffing, better spots near fort mill are available. read more

You had me at Pimento cheese fritters. These are heavenly little morsels of yummy cheese fried to perfection and are just waiting to melt in your mouth. I hate having to share them with my husband ;) I had The Wanderer burger and it was so good. The brioche bun is so fresh and the bbq sauce was the perfect amount of sweet. Our server was super nice as my husband and I were sweeping up the bread crumbs that our daughter had spilled on the patio and she told us to not worry about it and she would clean it up. She was quick to refill drinks and made sure we were taken care of. I am so excited for Hobos to be in downtown Ft Mill. We are taking my parents who live out of town there tonight!! The BEST Burger you will EVER eat!! Ingredients are always fresh and the food simply delicious!! Huge fan of the diversity of beers on tap, fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles, their salads are amazing, and the milk shakes taste like your grandmother used to make. Just a "so-so" visit at Hobos. The the food wasnt bad and the service was adequate, but I dont believe that establishments such as this strive.to be "so-so" vs outstanding. I had the Black and Blue Burger and the ratio of bun to burger was way out of proportion. The burger also lacked significant Blue Cheese. I ordered fries as the side dish and the fries seemed dry and old. Our waitress seemed more concerned with clearing our table than inquiring about the quality of our meal. What a great place to have dinner with family and friends on a Saturday night. There were six of us total, including two children (one of which was a toddler). We arrived around 5 hoping to beat the Saturday night rush. When we arrived, they were already hoppin. Great news for them, but a bit scary for us because you never know how long your toddler is going to be willing to wait. The young lady working the hostess stand was visibly a little overwhelmed. Another woman, maybe a manager, came to assist. We ended up being sat within 5 minutes eventhough we were initially quoted 20 to 25 minutes. Lamont was our server and he was great! Very engaging and on top of his game. He quickly got our drink orders out and food orders in. He even joked with both of my kids throughout the meal which was fun to see. He consistently checked in on us to make sure we didn't need anything. The food though.....AMAZING! Chicken & waffles sandwich with a maple aioli......say what??? Grown up grilled cheese with pimento cheese, provolone, and cheddar along with bacon....pro tip - add tomato, you will love it! The T Money burger was ridiculously huge and equally delicious! It was all soooooo good! Even my toddler devoured her kids grilled cheese meal. After dinner we order one more beer and milkshakes for the kids and sat outside on there fenced in side yard while the kids ran around and played. It was great! Well here we are all slowly but surely getting back out in society after what seems like a lifetime. One of the best places I have found, where I feel safe and have no worries about Covid-19 for an hour or so is here at Hobos. Their patio and patio bar offers social distancing and the staff is wonderful. No need to worry about sanitizing as in the last 30 minutes I have been here the staff immediately cleans tables chairs bar as soon as someone leaves. The food is great the staff is great and during this time they really care about their customers wellbeing!!! read more

Coworker and I are here for lunch yesterday being in town for business! Stopped in and were immediately welcomed by very friendly staff!
