I would have loved to give Knickerbocker a positive review. Initial calls with Eric were great. He…read morewas super responsive and even though there were some challenges (drove to the middle of nowhere New Jersey to drop my car) it was a reasonable price compared to others. Issues were threefold: - Eric basically represented and used a facility that does its own direct auto transport. When questioned (because they were cheaper) he highlighted his business as better due to a number of factors. None of these ended up coming to fruition. - the Rando he got to transport my car was horrible. Lack of communication or updates. Ended up delivering the car two or three days later than promised (meaning I missed being able to inspect the car). And throughout the process was full of lies regarding arrival time and why he wasn't delivering on time. - car was damaged during transport but because I was out of town for 2 months after the fact and wasn't able to confirm and share this with Eric (because it was delivered late) I had no recourse for costs to fix the damage. - finally, In reviewing his end of year books, Eric got confused about a voided transaction (I had been charged twice initially and there was a void in his books). He assumed that it was me doing it due to my dissatisfaction and charged my credit card again without confirming the issue with me. He left messages while I was in a meeting and then charged my card without confirming. When I called, he apologized for his angry action but for someone who highlights professionalism amongst his traits, I feel this was way out of line. I was going to just leave things as is and not write a review and leave things as they were in August but given the action he took today I felt compelled to warn others.

*Mention Yelp for $50 off!…read more Very pleasant experience with this company. Alex was friendly and easy to communicate with. We coordinated a vehicle shipment from NJ to TX (with a flexible timeframe). It was really easy to get an immediate quote via their website and to subsequently schedule the pick-up. Additionally, their prices seemed really reasonable compared to other companies. They charged $1,290 ($290 down, $1000 upon delivery). I liked that their quote specified that it included taxes, tolls, fuel, insurance, and a price guarantee not to spring any additional charges. Just for comparison's sake, I priced two other companies in the NJ/NY area and was quoted $1,455 and $1,725. I also checked several national companies to compare prices. Their prices varied ($1,124; $1209; $1,513; $1,575). As you can see, the lowest quotes were slightly lower but not by much. I was honestly hesitant about using these national companies because they tend to have more negative reviews (although they probably also do more business). There are accusations of hidden fees, damages, bad customer service, etc. They also tend to be less personal (since they are headquartered in random locations). After considering price (and price guarantee), location, and reviews, we went with Sanway. They appeared to be an experienced and established company where you are still able to get personal service. Just a heads up, Sanway does subcontract third-party drivers/companies to deliver your car. The drivers do pick-up and drop-off the vehicles directly so you interact with them. Keep in mind that they have multiple deliveries to make so they are unable to give you an exact delivery day/time. They initially told us 2-6 days (average of 3). When the pick-up occurred, they told us it should arrive on Saturday/Sunday. The car arrived on Sunday evening and the driver (Robert, nice guy) called when he was about 25 minutes away. I was hoping that the driver would give me more of a heads up as he got closer to my area but it ended up working out since we were home at that time. You just have to stay close to home and plan accordingly. Highly recommended for your vehicle shipping needs.

Was in town to help my boyfriend friends move across the country. New Jersey to California. Hey!…read moreSome labor and then a short vacation both ways! According to my friends, they did a free estimate and responded fairly quickly. Also they showed within the estimated time they booked them. My boyfriend and I were the ones late. Oops. Honestly, I let them do all the heavy lifting. I can't break a nail during this process. Just kidding. The workers were really careful on handling everything. Everyone helped everyone. They actually took into consideration that things were especially fragile. They wrapped the fragile things with a soft cloth and tape to make it extra secure. They also had these bins to put their special stuff in. The whole process was actually fine. Had a little fun and everyone worked together great! We actually met up with them in Cali (at our friend's new place) to help unpack also. Everything was in good condition! Nothing broke. Praise. Nothing unraveled. Praise. My friends Definitely recommend this company if you're looking for some help!

They think of it as their own stuff. I called cross country movers maybe a week before moving. And they had great customer service told me everything I needed to know about the moving process . And the pricing, honestly worth every cent. They are so careful with their work. I'm glad I didn't call anybody else . I moved from hoboken to new Jersey. And believe me when I say this. Their great with their work. Very careful, very neat. Everything comes in how they packed it. Nothing broken nothing scratched, if I called somebody else I probably would have not got the same customer service and work. I would 10/10 recommend these movers for country to country .
