I have 3 rc cars that I just came into. Took them into ht Temecula and Jeff Morgan was great. He tested all my batteries, remotes and cars. Needed a few things only about $80 bucks worth. He did not try to up sale me just made sure I had everything I needed. Thanks so much. Glad I went in there. This hobby town is nothing like the Escondido one used to be. They are nice and friendly. I literally just bought my sons RC car two days ago and like all kids he broke it super quick. I had taken it a part and had the part it needed to fix it and brought it in to have it fixed. I knew how long it would take to fix it and the man at the front told me it would take an hour and I had to leave the RC car. Ramone another gentlemen who worked there overheard my conversation with this man and knew it would only take under 3 minutes to fix. He helped me right away no questions asked and got me out of the store within 5 minutes with a fixed RC car. My 6 year old son was stoked and I was stoked I didn't have to come back with my newborn and my son AGAIN. Ramone is awesome! I recently went in to purchase a drone, fpv goggles, charger, batteries and controller. I explained that I wanted everything to work together so I can go fly. Well, Stephanie and another male employee sold me a drone from one manufacturer and a radio that was incompatible from another manufacturer. Two days later I went in and explained the situation. Stephanie, stated the the needed parts would be available in 2-3 days and I'd have to wait. I explained that doesn't work for me as it will be 5 or six days of no flying having already spent over 1k dollars in that purchase. I stated that I'd like my money back and Stephanie said no problem get the original packaging. I return with the original packages and Stephanie (the store manager and I believe the daughter of the owner of the Corona store) refused to give me my money back stating that it was opened and "you knew what you were buying". Eventually I was forced to leave the store because Stephanie threatened and indeed did call the police department because I was asking for this situation to be resolved. (Police came no report filed - it was Stephanie using the police as a weapon I believe). I called the corporate store and then called the Corona store and spoke to a woman who identified herself as the owner. She advised me to talk to Bob. The next day I talked to Bob (Temecula store owner) and we agreed to return the drone and the batteries (one of which was the 100% wrong kind) minus a 10% restocking fee. Nice shop. A bit far for me (90 plus miles round trip ) so I don't hget there often. Nice selection of RC and Fantasy Sci-Fi items. I'm a military modeler and they seem to have a pretty good selection. I wish they had a LOT more. The only reliable supplier that I've found for Model Master paints. A great source for tools glues and like supplies. I only wish they were closer. read more

Worst experience at a hobby shop yet! Went to get myself a drift car. They Didn't let me know it was a discontinued product! Then I had the kid solder a deans plug on and he solders it on backwards and my esc caught fire! Take your business elsewhere place has no parts! read more

Tentacles. I hate having to write reviews about shops that end up not all positive, from entering the store I was not greeted politely. I also waited to eventually be spoken to rudely from one of the staff, who was ranting more bad words than a sailor in front of customers with children, very disappointing after all that said the staffs basic knowledge of RC repairs were poor. Always friendly staff, sometimes you need to ask for help but that's not a big deal. Bought a Helion monster truck from them last week, and promptly broke it by crashing into a fence post in my friends house. went in and they had the part in stock and I was rolling again within the hour. Promptly broke the truck again at the playground with my kids. called ahead to check on the availability of parts, and they had it waiting for me at the register when I came in to pick it up. After having some lunch and Asahi my friends detoured over to Hobby Town to look at rc airplanes and other stuff. We were greeted and assisted with rc items. Prices are not the best but way better than most things in Temecula! I really like their plane and car selection. I have to say that the employees and owner at this store have always been so friendly and helpful. I am one to look and research quite a bit before I purchase and they were so patient with me looking. I have purchased all of my vehicles from them and have never had one problem. There inventory used to be a little light, but they would always order, but lately they have been building up there inventory and you can walk in and pretty much pick up and of the popular and current vehicles and parts. I particularly like how they have begun to carry a lot of the aftermarket upgrade parts and lights for vehicles!!! Keep up the great work guys and gals!! Recently my son purchased a remote control boat from this store, when he got it home and charged the battery to test the motor he noticed a funny sound and smell and took it back. These guys were great, they checked out the boat indicated it needed a part took care of it and sent him back on his way. Again, it appeared to be under powered and would not turn, so he went back to the store and they offered to exchange it for a like model. The replacement boat was missing two rear rutters, and again,he returned to the store informed 5hem of the missing parts, in which they provided the parts needed; however, this model appeared to have the same issues, and would not go. Again, he returns, this time to request store credit stating he has tried 2 models now and neither perform as indicated on box. He is dissappointed with the product and asked to exchange it or get store credit. The stores representatives reply was NO, stating their store policy is after 30 day no refund or credit. my issue here is they are looking at 30 days past original purchase and not considering the fact that,they may be selling junk. Two boats with same problem and the second was sold with missing parts. There is deffinately a pattern here. I understand if it were the original boat and we went beyond the 30 days; but come on; we have made multiple trips tried to trouble shoot, returned the first one, and get a second only to gain more frustration and headache & for them not to acknowledge the history and pattern to only turn away a customer..not good customer service in my book. Poor customer service...my 12 year old son purchased a shockwave proboat rc boat to take to Havasu for spring break. Decided to try it out in the pool and had problems instantly. Took back to hobby town and they said they could fix it but it would take a week. So much for spring break. He gets it back once again try it out in the pool and same problem. Motor spins prop shaft does not. Call hobby shop back and ask to speak to Chris the manager and tell the girl about my problem..sit on hold and girl comes back in phone and says "Chris says he remembers you..and it's not out problem that i should try calling horizon" again I ask to speak to him and she says he's not available to talk. I came in for a part for my son's R/C truck. I had a picture of the part and the info my son had given me. I was almost sold the wrong part. Not a big deal. We were going off a picture and limited info. After about an hour there, Bob said he would have to order the part. Fine. No big deal. I get the part a few days later....wrong part. Again, not a problem. I came in to return it and Bob was very rude. I explained this part was to the wrong scale and would need to exchange it and his response was 'Well, not according to the information you gave me.' The rest of his remarks were not helpful and certainly not geared toward good customer service. I found all three experiences at this store not pleasant and definitely not good customer service. read more

I have been here a couple of times and I really like shopping here. Very helpful staff that is more concerned with helping and getting you the right parts or the right RC vehicle you want. prices are very reasonable and for the most part lower than surrounding stores. hours are also really good and open later than most other shops with a really good selection. read more
