Amazing store for hobbies and more!!! Wish it was closer to me but worth the drive!! Always has what I'm looking for!!

Well Hobby Lobby needs to change their name, they are no longer a craft and Hobby store. Every 6 months more isles are taken out for home dec or seasonal items. Their ads are bases on kitchen essentials. Soon there will be no crafts or hobbies to speak of. Great job David Green! read more

Every time I walk in this store everyone is nice, the sales are awesome (when you go certain times of the year) and they have a frick ton of stuff. If you don't have any coupons or sales I find them to be pretty expensive but besides that i think they are a good store with a great company. read more

Went in today for a matte to be specially made. Kim helped us. She was nothing but rude and snippy. I asked some questions and she made me feel like an idiot. To top it off she was glaring at me the entire time we were talking to her. I will admit it was a zoo there, but pretty sure huh don't need to me a 'b' to paying customers. read more

Was wrongfully accused of stealing here today by an employee named Carissa or something along those lines. I have never liked coming in here. My mother wanted to go in and look around. She was about to check out, and I had a cart with nothing but my small insulated cooler bag I brought in so it wouldn't have to be in the car. Which remained in the cart and wasn't even accessed by me during the entire duration of being in the store. I guess just because I was walking around the store and ended up not buying anything, it makes me a target...? It honestly made me irate. I sort of noticed her hovering around me a couple times a few minutes before that out of the corner of my vision when I was just walking. So while my mom was checking out her stuff I pushed my cart back to the area in the front of the registers. This employee "Carisse" darted in front of me, smirked and proceeded to say "Are you going to pay for all that stuff you put in your bag?" Me: "...EXCUSE me?" and I immediately pulled all the contents out which included my frozen ice pack, a water bottle, some bakery items I just got from another place, some trash and napkins. Just proceeds to stare at me with the most idiotic smile I've ever seen and mumbled something so I asked what it was that l did that even made it look like I was stealing. Just stared at me with no answer and a dead-eyed expression. It is embarrassing and frustrating being accused of something you didn't do. Looks like there have been a few other instances of this left in reviews by other customers as well. Will never return even as a guest or reccomend to anyone. Disgusting. read more

I got a puzzle for Christmas and I took it in today to get it framed. Kim did an amazing job putting it all together for me as efficiently as she could. She kept getting interrupted by customers and felt bad about keeping me waiting longer than she anticipated but she handled everything well and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I am a very big fan of Hobby Lobby. I am often very pleased with their card, home decor, crafts, gift, and stationary. The customer service is often a hit or a miss. I very rarely encounter an employee until I hunt them down, and I have encountered some extremely rude employees over the last couple of years. The major reason I am giving them a lower rating has to do with their fabric compartment though. The couple of times that I have gone here to purchase fabric I have been incredibly disappointed. My most recent purchase of fabric from this location was for two pieces of fabric of the same exact size for a tie blanket, when I got home to make the blanket, I found that the two pieces of fabric were more than two inches off from each other... I will continue to shop here for nearly all of the other items that they offer, but I will not be going to here for fabric anymore. read more

I stood in line for several minutes at the register and reached the front finally when the manager put up her closed sign and walked away from me without saying anything. Eventually it became clear she was not coming back. I waited in another line for service and when I asked for the manager was informed it was her. She denied what she did and made several excuses. Hobby Lobby is my one stop shop to get all my baking supplies. They always have what I need when I need it. They also help me with ideas for party ideas and cupcake decoration ideas. While they are closed on Sundays and I understand and respect that decision, Saturdays are usually pretty busy, however, this is the place for me. They always have great sales and the online coupon always helps with those big purchases. I love the custom frame section....it is always an adventure when creating a frame for a photo I had printed or a final cross-stitch project I need framed! Some background: I use spray paint professionally. I have over 100 cans of various brands and colors of spray paint stored in my climate-controlled studio. One day, I purchased 5 cans of glitter spray paint from Hobby Lobby, and two cans from a nearby Michael's. When I tried to use it, one of the cans of paint that I purchased from Hobby Lobby virtually exploded, spraying glitter and solvent all over my hands. I carefully tested two of the other cans I purchased from Hobby Lobby, and the nozzles stuck down, emptying the cans' contents onto my lawn. (I have only seen this happen once before, on a 15 year old can of paint I found.) I tested the two cans that I had purchased from Michael's at the same time- those worked fine, no problems. I tried to return the cans of paint to Hobby Lobby, where I was confronted by the manager, a heavyset woman with short brownish hair. I was very polite and not forceful (it was obvious that approach wouldn't have helped with her), even though she was very insulting to me- implying that I didn't know what I was doing, that I had stored the cans improperly, etc. The manager simply refused to handle the problem in a professional way. As the manager walked away, the checkout clerk rolled her eyes- I'm guessing the clerks are all-too familiar with their manager's behavior. I was able to exchange the two unused cans for "fresh" cans of glitter paint (giving me a refund was out of the question). When I tried them out at home, the nozzles stuck again, and the cans blew themselves out on my lawn again. I decided to contact the paint manufacturer directly, and they took care of the problem. Still, I'm pretty blown away and disgusted by how Hobby Lobby handled this situation. I spend a lot of money on art supplies- and now all of my business goes to their competition. I advise anyone looking to purchase spray paint to look elsewhere because of the problems I had. read more

Lots of cheaply made and overpriced home decor. I'm a crafter and was disappointed with their crafting supplies. Very basic , ok if you are making some simple crafts with children, I guess. High prices on craft supplies also , I also found out through one of their workers that a lot of that stuff never goes on sale. I did find a pretty item I wanted to buy for a friend's birthday, but ended up not purchasing it because they could not give me a gift receipt!! I'm sticking with Michael's and JoAnn's from now on. Love this store and what it stands for. I enjoy my experience every time. The staff is nice, and they are always on top of things and very willing to make the customer happy with their purchases. It's a fun store with such a huge variety of decor, floral, cardstock and stickers, and seasonal items. I will never be going back after my horrible experience the other day I had been looking forward to going there for weeks because I make things that require a lot of their products. Not only was I followed around the entire time by staff and secret shoppers, but I was looking for a new glue gun where there happened to be three employees talking about their weekend. Apparently I was too close (even though workers kept coming right beside me to look in my cart) because she rudely turned to me and said "are you looking for something!" About three workers and more "customers" came up to the front as my sister and I were getting in line to pay. The cashier straight up ignored me as I tried to make small talk twice during my transaction and the manager magically appeared at the front of the doors. I felt so violated and humiliated being treated that way after I just spent good money there. I will never go back again which is a bummer because I do a lot of crafts and such. But the items aren't worth my dignity to walk around a store and not be portrayed as a criminal read more

Time just flies when I visit Hobby Lobby! Love the variety and the selection. Someday I want to spend all day and explore every corner. Employees are helpful and go above and beyond what is asked. Love their atmosphere, with music, scents and decor. Will return as often as I can! read more

I have been in there twice in as many days and both times crews were more concerned with their vulgar "men" conversations then checking you out. When I ask someone where something was they were obviously annoyed and the cutting counter took 45 minutes and it was just me there ringing the bell. I would rather shop at joanns from now on.
