What an absolutely awesome store! I don't think I can say enough how much I love uncle's games. This is one of those great stores that I just root for and I hope that it's here forever and ever. They have a great selection of board games, puzzles, card games, and tabletop RPG games like dungeons & dragons in Warhammer. The staff is super friendly and super helpful, with a bunch of great recommendations (I'm a huge board game nerd and I do this thing where I test people by asking them about games that I've already played) and these guys were absolutely great. They also have a gaming area in the back of the store, I don't know what the rules are but I'm sure that you could go in and bring your game in and play. They also have a used game section, which is such a great idea. Some board games are so expensive and you don't know whether or not you're going to like them, but if they have them in the used games section at uncle's games it's going to be less than half of what you would pay if it was brand new. Could use more updating of the store (ie. flooring and maybe a drop ceiling). the storefront is clean and open. Entry is dated, and feels relatively untouched. LOTS of main floor space, which they use primarily for sales items in rows of comics, manga on shelves, books for tabletop systems, and various miniatures. Glass cabinets line the walls showcasing individual cards (other wares in like cabinets are on the side of the entryway). In the very back of the store, they have a reasonably large gaming table space setup for things like card or miniature tournaments, board games, or tabletop rpg sessions. They even have storage in the back shelves for terrain as well. Staff are comfortable and friendly, generally accommodating and reasonable to nice. Products are a bit overpriced, likely to cover the size of the store and its prime location. Overall I can't rate this higher due to the dated and subdued surroundings, but otherwise it is a good store. Recommend. read more

You never really realize how many games you need until you come to a place that has ALL THE GAMES. But then you find out because they have store copies of most of their games so you can actually play it before you buy it. In addition to that they host various game times for popular games such as Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons. Not only can you get tons of punches on your game nerd card, but the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I am especially impressed with their knowledge of all their offerings because they have a lot of them. And with new things coming out all the time, they have to constantly learn about the new things and be able to fill you in. There are no bored hipsters watching cat videos behind the counter here! I will say that things can feel a little claustrophobic when they get busy, but that is just the price for being at the mall. Get to Uncle's and get your game on. read more

terrible costumer service, I wasn't treated with respect and they valued their time more than mine. when I needed help they told me they would get right with me but I waited a long time and no one helped so i eventually left the store. very disappointed. read more

Great selection of current board and card games. Decent schedule of event nights. Best part of the store is the staff. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Makes it worth paying marked up prices, just to have a real person's input and to support a local gathering place. read more

Uncle's Games in The Valley Mall, this is my all-time favorite game store on the planet. (My three others are their other three locations!) Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, there to help you tailor fit your gaming and gift needs. Puzzles, games, mind benders, Pokemon Cards, MTG, Yu-GI-OH, Bella Sara Cards, games you may have never heard of, but so so fun! Need help finding the right gift for somebody? Not only is the selection incredible, but the employees excel at helping you find just the right item. Do yourself a favor, check out their event calender online, then treat yourself, and stop in and see for yourself. I have been coming here since their current location was previoisly a since-long-defunct bookstore chain & they were located where Rue 21 is now. One of the former managers from back then now works there as an employee. To be honest, I've never had a bad time playing there. All the staff have put up me for many, many, years, for which I am truly grateful. I LOVE all the demos they have at there location. You can try before you buy almost all the games still being manufactured in today's gaming culture. Their miniature, puzzle and gaming rulebooks collections are one of the best in the INW, and in WA state as a whole. Plus, all the gaming events they put on I've attended have been great. I love Uncle's Games at the Spokane Valley Mall. I love board games, puzzles, and other geeky stuff so of course I adore this place!
