BUYER BEWARE!!!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! My family recently purchased several items from BuyWander, and our experience has been EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!! I purchased multiple pairs of shoes that were advertised as Cole Haan and Kurt Geiger. When I picked them up, the items were wrapped in black plastic, so I could not verify the contents. Once home, I discovered that the shoes and boxes were branded LIPHNE, not the brands advertised in the listings. My daughter also purchased a scrub set that was advertised as Allheart. The item she received was unbranded and weren't the Allheart product that was advertised. What makes this even more frustrating is that customers pay a buyer's premium on purchases, increasing the total cost beyond the winning bid price. Then, if you need to return an item, you will also be charged a restocking fee. In my opinion, customers should not be paying additional fees when the product received does not match the product that was advertised!!!!! As consumers, we rely on product descriptions, photos, and brand names when making purchasing decisions. Receiving products that do not match the advertised brand raises serious concerns about the accuracy of these listings. I have screenshots of the listings and photographs of the products received. I have contacted the company and requested a resolution. Until this issue is resolved, I would encourage anyone shopping with BuyWander to carefully inspect every purchase and compare it to the original listing before the return window expires. Consumers deserve accurate product descriptions, honest branding, transparent fees, and fair return policies. read more

The return item for a fine, but when they advertise one item of a specific color and there is no resemblance of that color, completely wrong, they need to accept the item back and provide a full refund. To be told that it's a policy is bad business. The item you get needs to be what was written on the site. Frustrating and bad business. read more

This is a terrible place to shop; I really don't recommend it. I've bought items here many times, and what I receive never matches the product descriptions--they are often broken or simply don't work, even though the listing claims they are like new. I am truly disappointed; there is always an issue with my purchases, and honestly, it makes me very angry. I recently bought a rug in a specific color but was delivered a different one; when I asked for the right one, I was told they couldn't exchange it and I simply had to return it. I don't have time to deal with this back-and-forth just because they do a poor job. I really don't plan on shopping here again; I'm not going to waste my money on items where the description doesn't match what I actually receive. The absolute worst treatment from customer service I have ever received. A situation happened and resulted in my missing a scheduled pickup. I promptly informed an employee at Buywander and told her I was having trouble rescheduling the pickup. She told me she was having issues as well and someone would call me back. I never received a return call or assistance. So I sent an email. About a hour later, received a response stating that they are charging me $2.00 for every item when it was their employee that never rescheduled my appointment causing the problem they are now charging me for. ***This fee is not openly disclosed, and people need to be made aware of it and consent to it for it to be legally charged. #1 - They claim 80% of their returns aren't damaged or broken, that is simply not that case. I have spent thousands here (won't any longer) and at best estimate 40% is overstock and not busted in some way. I found fixing things fun so this didn't bother me too much but the 80% claim is sham. #2 - Very often the product they advertise is not the product you are actually getting. You may see a picture of a beautiful black dress, but when you go to pick it up, it is something else. It's a bait & switch scam. #3 - While staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, this place is extremely disorganized. On multiple occasions I was told to go to a space for pick up and then sat and waited for 30-60 minutes, have to flag someone down and ask what's going on. If I have an appointment to pickup why am I waiting so long? Turns out someone just hits the wrong button and says the pickup has occurred and then it's never brought out. Seems really easy to do as it's happened to me 4 times so it's got to be happening to others at this rate as well. #4 - Even if you get and wrong item at pick up and refuse it, they still keep the buyer's premium. They Auction off merchandise that they don't even have. If they do have it. It will be broken, missing parts, or just a completely different item in package. I have spent a lot of time and money. For example they were selling bulk workout equipment as salvage pallet. A whole pallet of #1 box out of 2 to complete the item. Then at the same time have a pallet of the #2 box as a salvage auction. So you would have to buy both pallets to complete one piece. Total scam! Same with heat pump systems... Not worth it. Cheaper to buy the complete item brand new. read more

I bought a shed from them. The box said 1 of 2. I check one box and it was shed pieces so I did not open the 2nd box. when I got ready to build the shed the second box was a headboar. This place is a complete SCAM. I've made a couple purchases of quite a few items from this company and both times was very disappointing. They advertised with false information and take pics without the damaged parts of their items. They want to have their customers pay for items that they continue to resell from one customer to another even after knowing what damages it has, this is exactly part of their SCAM. I bought a smoker and on their website stated "appears new" but my a$$, this smoker had a GIANT hole in the front part of the smoker. Buy Wander is a company that has very bad policy and sells mostly junk. We have purchased close to 100 items so far... the majority of the items, listed as "appears new", are not even close to new. We purchased 5 cameras... 2 are completely trash, as they do not function at all. We purchased half a dozen items that were not even the same as their phoney pictures. They will list an item with 5 to 7 pictures of a similar item... then, show a last picture of the edge of what is actually in the package, which is completely different. Then, they give you a seven day grace period to return items... which includes items that were completely different than what you thought you were paying for... so, if you don't live close, and you wait an extra day to get there to make a return, it's too late... even if they gave you a completely different item than you bid on. So, you have to open every box in their parking lot and check your items... if they need electricity to function, you will have to take it somewhere to test the items. We purchased some clothing items... the all were marked as "appears new"... yet, they all have stains or odors that tell a different story when you lift them near your eyes and nose. I was "rescheduled several times for pick up and missed the 7 day return deadline. This is unacceptable. If you add the junk that I paid for to the stuff I wanted I could have paid retail. The posted value is incorrect, do your research before the auction. The folks working the delivery location are helpful but are stuck following tough rules. I had several different orders from different days. I picked my pick up time and everything was fine. I purchased some other items and their website sent a message that I could bundle all my orders together and move the pick up appointment out a couple of days. Sounds good. I wish I would have taken a screen shot to prove this. But who would have thought they were such crooks. Their website confirms appointment time and says my 14 items will be available then. I get to pick up and the guy says you have 12 items to pick up. I look at order page and see that 2 of my items were 'refunded'. Ok. However they were not refunded, I was charged a re-stocking fee for not picking up on time. I was there at the correct time. I have called them and no response. I have emailed and gotten nothing but lip service from them. Pretty much their answer is too bad - you missed the pick up day. Which I did not - their system changed it - I did not change it. BE CAREFUL. Do your due diligence researching actual prices before final bid. Prices are inflated. Photos of items don't often match item received. I bid on a listing for 6 chairs, but only got 2; I received a knee pad instead of decorative boxes; dimensions and colors are usually off. Check everything IN THEIR PARKING LOT before leaving. You only have 7 days to return things but the countdown starts when the auction ended, NOT when you paid for them or when you picked them up. That may only leave you 2 days to return things. They value for items is not that great. They want you to get caught up in bidding without doing due diligence. read more

But the would keep looking for the items. I sent an email to the Buy Wander support. They check into the issue and say they have my stuff ready. I say cool, ARE YOU SURE? I don't want to drive all they way out there and them not have it. They check and guarantee they have them. So I schedule my appointment for pick up again. I get here today and we are told that they cannnot find my items!!!! I show them my email, to which Mr. Grifen says "there is a disconnect between us and our email team". Absolutely Terrible Experience with BuyWander I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that other customers deserve to know what to expect. The first issue happened on June 9, 2026. I had a confirmed pickup appointment scheduled for 6:15 PM, which was clearly confirmed by text message. I left early and spent approximately 50 minutes driving to the location, arriving around 6:00 PM. As I arrived, employees were placing cones and closing off the property. When I informed them that I had a scheduled appointment and showed my confirmation, I was simply told: "We're closed." No explanation. No apology. No notification by text, email, or phone call. Nothing. Their website indicated they were open until 7:00 PM, yet they scheduled customers for pickups and then closed before the appointment time without warning. They wasted my time, fuel, and an entire evening. Unfortunately, things got even worse. On June 11, I had a rescheduled appointment at 5:15 PM. This time the facility was open, and I arrived on time. However, the level of customer service was shockingly unprofessional. Two employees were sitting at the check-in desk fanning themselves because of the heat. I completely understand that it was hot outside--I work outdoors myself. But instead of acknowledging customers or providing assistance, they completely ignored me as if I wasn't there. They continued doing their own thing, eating chips at the desk, and only afterward asked how they could help me. After checking in, I waited approximately 30 minutes past my appointment time before my order was brought out. Then came the unbelievable part. The staff informed me that they could not provide my complete order because they had LOST THE SOFA that I had won in their auction. Yes, they actually lost it. They listed the item, accepted bids, sold it, scheduled a pickup appointment, made the customer drive nearly an hour, wait on-site, and then casually informed me that they had misplaced the item entirely. This is one of the most disorganized, unprofessional, and poorly managed companies I have ever dealt with. If you value your time, expect basic communication, and want to do business with a company that respects its customers, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. 0/10. I really like this place. You cannot go wrong because you can return the item within 7 days. I have purchased many items at a very high discount-especially window shades and blinds. Simply view your items when you pick them up; if there is a problem simply return it on the spot. We've gotten several good deals and also have had to return several broken, incomplete, damaged items. Recently, things that we get really good deals on, vanish after the auction. We got a great deal on one item, tried to pay for it 5 minutes later and it said "out of stock." ???? Today, there were several items that although we had the highest bid at the end of the auction, shortly after, when you looked to pay, the items did not come up as won or lost. so this is my first time feeling the need to do a review and i have been a supporter and customer since day 1 and the way I was treated this week by buy wander employees laughing and smirking at my frustration was the last time I intend dealing with these clowns in pink vests! the complete disrespect and lack of ability to even offer customer service is absolutely disgusting because they don't one employee said they have 5000 appointments a day and the next said 1000 and meanwhile telling me that 15 mini before my Monday appointment that I was on time for the system had automatically or I guess possible that it was rescheduled while in my pocket in which case is not OK either that the system can be that easily manipulated from my pocket, but nevertheless, I was there for my Monday appointment at 11:30 and at which point I was told that my appointment was on Thursday and the date of the auction was seven days ago, so not being able to pick up my items within the seven days I guess I won't be receiving them can I return them an issue which they're an issue and you know I've taken the risk time and time again and accepted you know maybe it's worth but at this level of customer service or lack there of completely I don't think it's worth it and I strongly suggest people really think about what you're spending and the fact that they're getting these items for pennies on the dollar by the truckload and putting a estimated value at a brand new MSRP price that being the value their misleading customers to think which is most of the time if you do a Google search of the item is, not worth what they're saying is not in appears new condition. None of its new ever the word New should never be used in their terminology. It's misleading to the customers and is not true. It's all been return for a reason. But what I'm really trying to say is the fact that they are sending out employees that are smirking and laughing in my my frustration. I'm giving Buywander 5 stars because the employees are amazing! Kevin worked extra hard trying to fit some Huge pots into my suv.. I Couldn't quite get the back door shut.. He comes back to me to let me know the door was still not closed and to please stop at a store and buy something to tie it down before getting on the freeway. Which I did! And then there is Josh.. Layla and Donnie that are always so polite and patient..always willing to help.. Even when it's a madhouse and that rude person with a childish attitude.. is having a 2 year old meltdown .. The employees always handle the situation with so much professionalism. All the employees deserve bonuses for their work ethics! I'm retired but if I was still working and still doing the hiring for the businesses I managed! I would for sure be recruiting these employees to come and work for me! read more

At first I really enjoyed buy wander, I enjoyed getting things for a good price, the rush of winning something is always fun, and then that all changed. We started getting "appears new" items that you would have to be blind to think they were new. Items that were missing needed parts or flat out weren't the items that they said they were. We once got a bonus by buying an outdoor bench that turned out to be a beautiful outdoor table and chair set. Unfortunately, these issues very rarely are in the customers favor. We started getting told items were missing when we went to pick them up, we kept things and bought the missing parts, we missed return dates, which is 7 days from the auction win, not the pick up. We threw multiple items away because the cost of gas to take it back was more than the refund, but in general we were still enjoying it. Then it gets better. One day last week I went into my account and it said I couldn't bid on anything and to contact them. I called the local office to be told that I was banned because of a fraudulent return, wait WHAT?? They told me to reach out their customer service, which I did through FB messenger. I was informed that an item that I had returned a while back, and they just got to processing the return, was flagged as fraudulent because the item I received and the item I returned were either not the same or something was missing...please refer to the above mentioned prior experiences here. I asked for the item information and they didn't know, I asked for the pictures, they didn't have them. I called the local office again no one returned my calls. I went to the local office and no once knew what item it was about. Again multiple times I was told they had proof of my "fraud or theft", but they couldn't produce it. Today I get a message with the item that was supposedly fraudulently returned and their picture of the item sold. Their picture of an unopened box and the pictures they pull from the internet showing you what is supposed to be in that unopened box. They can't send me pictures of what I returned to them, or at least they won't. They have stopped returning my calls and refuse to provide any additional information. From a company who takes pictures of items from the internet, expects a lot of grace when they get it wrong and absolutely can't get it together using words like fraudulent, and intentionally took something out of the box before returning it, I am disgusted!!!! If you decide, after reading these reviews to use this company. Make sure to open everything at pick up, I noticed most people do, expect not to get everything you thought was in the box, expect to drive to the location and be told they lost the item you paid for, and absolutely take pictures of everything you pick up and return. I went to the warehouse to pickup my items and they refused to give me my 5 items that I drove 2.5 hours round trip to pickup. Told me to reschedule, there were employees all over the place, there was one really nice lady that had me wait while she asked her boss, but big boss lady said "NO". Very disappointing, I take care of my mom who has Alzheimers so getting someone else for 2.5 -3 hours to watch her is very difficult. I understand that they are running a wharehouse, but their customers are not professional logistics people they are consumers. Such a disappointing experience. The prices can be amazing if you win an auction, but they are horrible with representing what they sell you. I purchased a "Appears New" MacKenzie Childs rolling pin with a bunch of other items. I scheduled my pick up date so that I could pick it up with another auction I won on a different night. There was no indicator that I shouldn't delay it, or notice that it needed to be picked up in a certain time frame, so I went with it. When I picked up my items, they handed me a broken rolling pin. They would not honor a refund, because the return period expired the day before I picked up. How does a return period for an item expire BEFORE it's in your possession? How can I know that they are misleading it's condition until I have it? I purchased and item in new condition and was given an item in broken condition and their policy protected them from having to do anything about it. I also bought a king size mattress. I got it home and out of the packaging and it was actually a queen. While I can still return it, the point is they really aren't validating what they are selling. They are guessing. I believe they do this on purpose to get you to bid higher hoping that some people will miss their return window.
