Buy Wander is a company that has very bad policy and sells mostly junk. We have purchased close to 100 items so far... the majority of the items, listed as "appears new", are not even close to new. We purchased 5 cameras... 2 are completely trash, as they do not function at all. We purchased half a dozen items that were not even the same as their phoney pictures. They will list an item with 5 to 7 pictures of a similar item... then, show a last picture of the edge of what is actually in the package, which is completely different. Then, they give you a seven day grace period to return items... which includes items that were completely different than what you thought you were paying for... so, if you don't live close, and you wait an extra day to get there to make a return, it's too late... even if they gave you a completely different item than you bid on. So, you have to open every box in their parking lot and check your items... if they need electricity to function, you will have to take it somewhere to test the items. We purchased some clothing items... the all were marked as "appears new"... yet, they all have stains or odors that tell a different story when you lift them near your eyes and nose. This place is a complete SCAM. I've made a couple purchases of quite a few items from this company and both times was very disappointing. They advertised with false information and take pics without the damaged parts of their items. They want to have their customers pay for items that they continue to resell from one customer to another even after knowing what damages it has, this is exactly part of their SCAM. I bought a smoker and on their website stated "appears new" but my a$$, this smoker had a GIANT hole in the front part of the smoker. How in the world, do they state "appears new" and there is a gigantic hole right in the front of the smoker? This is the only item either. Such a disappointing experience. The prices can be amazing if you win an auction, but they are horrible with representing what they sell you. I purchased a "Appears New" MacKenzie Childs rolling pin with a bunch of other items. I scheduled my pick up date so that I could pick it up with another auction I won on a different night. There was no indicator that I shouldn't delay it, or notice that it needed to be picked up in a certain time frame, so I went with it. When I picked up my items, they handed me a broken rolling pin. They would not honor a refund, because the return period expired the day before I picked up. How does a return period for an item expire BEFORE it's in your possession? How can I know that they are misleading it's condition until I have it? I purchased and item in new condition and was given an item in broken condition and their policy protected them from having to do anything about it. I also bought a king size mattress. I got it home and out of the packaging and it was actually a queen. While I can still return it, the point is they really aren't validating what they are selling. They are guessing. And if it's wrong and you pick it up after a week, you have to keep it, even if they have misrepresented it. Bidder beware. read more

BE CAREFUL. Do your due diligence researching actual prices before final bid. Prices are inflated. Photos of items don't often match item received. I bid on a listing for 6 chairs, but only got 2; I received a knee pad instead of decorative boxes; dimensions and colors are usually off. Check everything IN THEIR PARKING LOT before leaving. You only have 7 days to return things but the countdown starts when the auction ended, NOT when you paid for them or when you picked them up. That may only leave you 2 days to return things. At least half of what I have bought had to be returned because of missing parts so the items were worthless. I know they say new when the items are not and missing parts. I believe they do this on purpose to get you to bid higher hoping that some people will miss their return window. I don't know any other reason they would allow pictures and descriptions that are so missing leading. read more

My first order from buy wander was great. Everything was new and as the listing said. Happy with all three items. My second order from buy wander included 7 items. Everything said appears new. The espresso machine was clearly used. Had coffee grounds all over inside the box and coffee dust smeared down the entire front of the machine. Very disappointed. Returned The steamer I bought said new and was covered in animal hair and used. I returned. The cork board I purchased had a huge defect across the whole top and was unusable. I returned I purchased an overnight bag that said appears new. It was also defective. Had cracks all along the bottom of the bag. The picture they used to show the item was the other side of the bag. They didn't hassle me about returning over $300 dollars in items. It is just annoying that I live 2 hours away and none of the items I purchased are what the description said. A few months ago, I would have given them a 5 star, but they have changed drastically over the past few months. I think they are growing too big for their britches. They no longer care about customer satisfaction. I have purchased many, many items over the past year but the last batch of items 9 in total -3 were incorrect. They are falsely advertising items, a violation of law, as new when they are clearly marked (missing items) on the box, the 2nd item was not what was stated in the box and the 3rd was not even the item I bid on. My order filler initially said that's what you bid on till I showed her my print of the bid. I find good deals on here once in a while for personal use, but lately companies are hoarding items and making it impossible for average people to use your system. I know you guys make money that way.But it would be nice and fair if those businesses were only allowed to do such bulk orders so many days a week. Don't not go here. They sold me an infant car seat that was labeled "appears new". The pictures had no reference to what I would discover after buying it and brining it home. When I went to pull it out of the box, I noticed the box had a hole in it. When I got the seat out of the box, it had a piece of wood (like from a pallet) lodged into the base of the seat. Clearly damaged, unsafe, and not an accurate description of the item! I tried to return it and was told I had missed the 7 day return window (by one day) and there was nothing they could do about it. I then emailed them about the issue and was told that a manager could do something about this. So I drove there again. And they just repeated the same thing to me. No refund. Why send me an email sending me back to the store just tell me the same thing? What a waste of my time! Also, I guess listing items for auction that are damaged and unsafe is all good? Their terms of service is inherently deceptive and I'm surprised so many people have been able to return items at all. The terms of service literally says you invalidate any claim to return when you pick up the item-- according to their own legally binding contract with you (supposedly, upon any use of their website) there is NO return window, since you can't return an item you don't HAVE. And since they refuse to allow bid retractions you are technically SOL. Here's what I don't understand. How can this company advertise 7day "hassle free" returns when everything about how this company operates is a hassle but their biggest hassle seems to be the ability to return and the fairness in their return window judging by these reviews. Many warn one to "check your items in the parking lot" and many also warn that the return window could very well be over before you've even been scheduled for pick up. How is that anything BUT an enormous hassle?? Another huge predatory red flag: if you refuse to pay, they charge a 25% restocking fee NOT based on the final auction price but based on their obviously inflated Estimated original value price. So I've just won an item listed as "does not turn on" for $1 plus their premium so $1.15. Estimated value is $29.59 therefore restocking is $7.40. I'm sorry but what actual damages is this 25% arbitrary restocking free supposed to cover? How much does it cost to post an actual non-functioning piece of trash for sale on their website? And who is doing these estimates exactly, what expertise do they have on retail market values of used broken items, I wonder? Because I'm having trouble confirming that a used, broken steam cleaner piece of trash returned to Amazon is worth $29.59 and that anyone would pay anywhere near this amount for it If anything, it seems that one has to PAY to have trash removed not the other way around, therefore, BuyWander should be paying ME for the curtosey of removing their trash for them. Butif the restocking fee is always a percentage of an always inflated price I'm failing to see how this in any way is FAIR and covers some kind of COST borne by the platform. I'm glad I haven't given them my credit card information because I have no desire to get caught up in another round of legal BS with yet another predatory corporation. And another item, it said I won for less than my max bid, but once I got my receipt it said it was for my full max bid. I reached out to buy wunder and they said I didn't win the item even though the website said I won and they said a bid came in at the last second to push my bid to the max even though the website showed that I won at a lower price. I've won 3 auctions, all 3 had issues. first one I received an item that looked nothing like the photo, and one item that was supposed to be complete, but was only one of 2 large boxes (that one I didn't even take home and got a refund 10 days later) and the last 2 were listed as "new" and "gently used". both were NOT IN WORKING ORDER! they only give you a week to return them, but with a medical issue that came up, I'm way out of that week period and am now stuck with 2 items that are totally useless. thanks for nothing... hope buywander enjoys the money they got selling products that don't work. read more

My first experience with this auction company and the item doesn't work.. They do have a 7 day return however before picking up my item I had to contact them to let them know I would be late picking up due to a blown head gasket on my truck. Apparently they have no leniency in this type of situation because my return period was over before my items were even picked up. Beware buyers, "GENTLY USED" can mean soap and does not get tested. I made mention of it when a 200 dollar Ryobi battery came up missing on a rototill I purchased an the employee that was helping me literally said "yup, happens all the time" an laughed about it.
