Hobby Lobby's bathrooms really need some attention. Today they were the worst I've seen -- extremely unsanitary. There were no toilet seat covers available, the trash was overflowing, the stall doors and walls were dirty, and several toilets wouldn't even flush. The store itself is always clean, so the restroom being this neglected is surprising. As a mom with a little one, it's especially concerning because I don't want my child exposed to unnecessary germs. Please prioritize regular cleaning and upkeep of the restrooms. It would make a huge difference for families and customers in general. read more

I procured two autographed, personally dedicated photos (one from Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund and one from Doug "Pinhead" Bradley) recently and needed frames to preserve and display their majesty. I wasn't in the mood to spend hundreds of dollars for a professional framing service, so I decided to drop by Hobby Lobby and buy my own frames. I'm glad I did! Several of my not-so-esteemed Yelp brothers and sisters have levied complains about "rude managers" and a "lack of checkers," but I experienced nothing but friendly, attentive service. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by two female staff members who seemed eager to help me. When I explained that I was looking for frames, one escorted me graciously to the appropriate section. I did not expect such boutique service from a Hobby Lobby. Within a few minutes, I found exactly what I had in mind: a black frame (12" by 15," methinks) with a red border for the Pinhead photo, and a long horizontal black frame for the Freddy photo and dedication. As luck would have it, all frames were 50% off that day, so I ended up paying only $25 for both combined. When I checked out, the guy behind the counter commented favorably on my "Halloween III" t-shirt and engaged me in conversation about horror movies. I educated him on all sorts of corruptive filmic esotericism! Again, I experienced none of the supposed rudeness that described by other Yelpers. Like many low-rated places on Yelp, this Hobby Lobby deserves a higher rating. Ignore the low-vibration, grammatically challenged malcontents and give this place a try the next time you're looking for frames P.S. I take perverse, ironic pleasure in the fact that my photos of the Freddy and Pinhead dedications are featured prominently on a page for a business whose website reads, "Honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles." Now, if only I could locate and frame the handwritten letter and pentagram doodle I received from Richard Ramirez, aka The Night Stalker. This is the cleanest, biggest, most variety hobby lobby I've ever been too. They also have really good sales. The only reason why I'm giving three stars is because I witnessed an interaction between a cashier and a customer that was not okay. The cashier was incredibly rude to that person, calling them names, accusing them of stealing because they had a large bag (that held diapers). It's unfortunate how nice this store is because I don't know if I'd want to come back and support a place with rude associates. The manager shrugged her shoulders at the whole ordeal. The store was clean and the discounts were amazing, but a lot of the shelves in the art area were completely bare and a whole isle hardly had anything. The main part though was the lack of checkers and no one seeming to care that there were only two lanes open and the line was all the way into the isles without any movement. read more

I've never had an issue with any Hobby Lobby location however I was slightly disappointed with the fact that there were only two of eight lanes open, the lines were long an slow moving. In most stores I've been in, they would open another lane or two to at least help. read more

Politics aside (b/c Yelp really isn't the place, people..) this store is GREAT! Although I have wished they were open on Sundays more than once. Oh well.. So, I've been here a few times and can't wait to move further away so the temptation is gone! In all seriousness, they have a great selection of everything from some cute accent furniture pieces (not low prices on those, but always on some sort of sale), to floral, and fabric and framing and every type of crafting I can think of, wrapping section conveniently located towards the front of the store. Warning: this place has a way of sucking you in.. I went in for gift bags and ended up realizing I could probably find last minute gifts for family and whaddaya know, I walked out with something under $10 for everyone on my list! No small feat for my family with very different tastes. They've got great home decor collections all grouped by theme. I find more than I'm looking for literally every time I go, which is why I try to wait until I really NEED something and only have a limited amount of time b/c I've spent a couple hours in this store before at least once just casually wandering around, mentally redecorating our apartment and adding to my list of crafts and things I want to do one day. Directions for the shopper in need of something specific (don't forget your blinders): Gift wrapping - Enter store, turn right down main isle, go past everything seasonal on your right, and fun home decor on your left.. I know that's cute but keep going!.. turn left just before the last aisle and then it's all on your right. Home decor - Call credit cards to place spending limit and then proceed into store. If you're looking for Farmhouse home decor, this is the place to go! I recently moved into a new home and have been looking for farm decor for cheap. This Hobby Lobby has big sales on decor. It doesn't get too packed in there, but the streets surrounding the store can make it hard to drive in there. HL's canvases are incredibly over-priced, so I first started buying canvases from a friend. When he moved, I learned to frame and stretch my own canvas. I save tons of money. Also, other crafts supplies are marked up way to high. I have started ordering everything I use on-line. Sure, I have to plan ahead, but for the money I save, it's worth it. I have never met a staff person there who was able to make a suggestion for tools or supplies on a project. read more

This is what every crafter should do: Sign up for the weekly email. Your favorite crafting items will go on sale often and you will save a ton of money by knowing that sort of information. I usually find myself picking up a new craft hobby at least once a year. This year is card making (Birthdays, Valentine's and Christmas). I don't bother sorting through Ross or Tuesday Morning for frames (usually scratch and dent) these days. Hobby Lobby usually has their frames 50%. If they don't have them discounted this week, you'll find them discounted the following week. Also, when you want to hunt down unique gift ideas, you'll find something here whether it be a Christmas ornament or a decoration piece, it's hard leaving empty handed. Come here, often. read more

I paint. And I like crafts. And I like to find cheap but pretty ways to decorate my house. Hobby Lobby is a good, sort of general starting place for all of this. Although for most of my painting supplies I would go to more art-specific stores, I tend to find great deals on canvas at Hobby Lobby. I have two nieces who I love to do little art projects with and those nearly all start at Hobby Lobby. And they have several aisles of housewares that are great as well! The trick to Hobby Lobby is to shop the sales. Literally everything in the store will be on sale up to 50% off within a couple of weeks of its arrival, so if you can be patient and shop regularly you'll get amazing deals. The front of the store will usually have several aisles of major clearance items. I've gotten $100 lamps there on clearance for as little as $15 before. Of course, the things tend to be pretty standard and even sometimes cheesy, but with a little creativity and time, you can turn those standard run of the mill things into a fun project and dress it up on your own and make it exactly the way you like it. That $15 lamp I bought had a plain, boring shade, so I went to the fabric section and bought some tassels for $8 and hot-glued them on and now my lamp looks like a custom creation from a high-end store and all I spent was $23. I highly recommend this place for general arts and crafts projects. Huge selection, really nice and helpful staff and GREAT SALES! Remember... shop the clearance racks and find some hidden gems for yourself! read more

I'm a sucker for any arts and crafts stores. This particular Hobby Lobby is great. It is never ridiculous busy (except for the holiday season) and I can usually be in and out within 30 minutes to an hour. Although it's hard not to get lost in just walking up every single aisle looking and browsing through every little trinket. So sometimes as much as I'd like to make it a quick visit, it isn't! From the manager to the checkout girl named Bianca their attitude towards customers is very curt and extremely rude and made me uncomfortable trying to use my coupon. They were not very nice or helpful when it comes to answering questions about using your coupons and just ready to move onto the next customer. I would hate to ever check out with Bianca ever again because of my experience and if the manager has the same attitude that just goes to say how the store runs. read more

While shopping in the store their credit card machine went down so there was a woman holding a big sign stating no credit cards at this time only checks and cash sorry for the inconvenience. So if you walked in the store you could see that and know that right away however if you were in the back of the store when this happened and then you're waiting in line you didn't know what happened until you got up there. Well those things happen it's not the employees fault and you should see the way some of the customers were acting like children or worse and being verbally abusive to the employees... damn shame how horrible people act in public! read more

I guess Hobby Lobby will not be a place that I shop for Halloween items any longer. I walk in and the first thing I see is a Christmas tree with Thanksgiving decorations all over it. When I asked an employee if I missed a Holiday, she said "Nope. Our Halloween stock gets smaller and smaller every year." She did however point me in the direction where there was a little box by the floral section that had decorative centerpiece stems that has little ghosts and spiders on it. $8 a piece. I'm really not sure why anyone bothers with JoAnn Fabrics when Hobby Lobby fills most of those needs and more. There have been several times where I've gone to JoAnn's and been disappointed with both the service and the amount of employees. Hobby Lobby has gone above and beyond at every request for assistance. I've been so impressed by all the employees and even the supervisory staff who have been wonderfully helpful and kind. Since this has been my opinion formed by several visits, I'm thinking I should just give them my full attention, or full bank account. I'm thinking you should too. read more

Ok, I normally don't do anything on Yelp except looking around but this time, I am BURNING! I came here to buy some stuff for my school, it is really nice that after checking more than 5 stores (not Hobby Lobby), I finally found what I need here (the only reason why this is not 1 star). However, it took me FOREVER to get out of the store not just because the lady in front of me had lots of stuff but also because the cashier took about 10' to finish it! And I had to catch a bus, which will come every HOUR, to get back to school. Hobby Lobby always runs a half off custom framing special. They are direct and efficient and get the work done! So, I was happy with there services. I did think it was a little pricey, but I have never had to get a custom frame job before. As usual, the prices are great here. This particular HL is really clean, as well, and it's gigantic: they have a little more variety at this store than at others in the area. The one thing I've found, though, is that the employees are super shy, so it's difficult to track one down. The location was clean and less chaotic compared to other Hobby Lobbies. However I feel my family was profiled. The customer service was less than desirable. There were employees that walked in the aisles but did not offer help. The cashier was not friendly and was only receptive to my baby. An announcement came over the loud speaker for security to scan two aisle. My oldest and I were in one and my mom was in another then 3 employees came down the aisle from what seemed like no where..
