Made me feel like a thief.. let me start off by saying I make 250k per year in the criminal justice field I am by no means low income or someone who would steal.. I came in with a stroller and my baby and asked for a bag to put a 6$ salt and pepper shaker in and a few other things I couldn't carry around with a stroller and the cashier was like "yeah sure no problem" and the manager quickly stepped in and said no we have to do clear bags now so I followed her and got one she was nice about it and said it's no offense to me but people have been stealing that way.. which I get but now I feel like I was looked at like a thief.. I got the bag and just sat it down in an isle and walked out empty handed. Made me not even wanna buy anything. Everyone at Hobby Lobby is very nice. I like going there. However, I had a very bad experience purchasing an assembled wooden dollhouse. I called and they agreed to sell me the floor model. They told me that a few pieces on the porch rail had come off and needed to be put back. I told them no problem and went and got my dollhouse. A few days later I decided to start painting my dollhouse just to find out that it is NOT wood. Most is made out of particle board. Parts of them look like cardboard. I was told NO RETURNS because it was the floor model. I am still upset because they advertised this product as wood and it is not. Over $300 to the garbage. read more

I am a firm believer that Hobby Lobby is a 6th love language. This is a therapeutic visit every single dang time. They have so much to look at, the store is usually just such a calm eclectic vibe and I don't know how you can't feel happy going here. Something I especially love about Hob Lob is all the sales they have. Play your cards right and you can get 50% off of like 50% of the items in the store! This isn't even me just trying to be clever with words, it's true! All of my painting stock is bought here, and I refuse to buy anything full price or elsewhere. Instead, I wait until Hob Lob has their 50% off Masters Touch brand and then buy any paints, brushes, and canvases I want to replenish. It's amazing. They'll have these sales on so many other things too- rugs, wall decor, seasonal items, candles, knick knacks, and more- you just have to know when to come! Love you forever, Hobby Lobby. read more

I'd like to thank the manager for price adjusting our purchase today . You saved us time money and gas for accommodating our delima and not making a huge deal out of our request like the NORTH SIDE MANAGER has. We picked the wrong hardware for our kitchen project on a whim on a Saturday night when the sale ended ; we just wanted to exchange the hardware for the correct amount of pieces that fit our cabinet doors for the sale price. Plot twist the knobs are marked different prices at two different stores . Now thanks to theNORTH SIDE MANAGER ,our project is on HOLD because we refuse to pay full price for 18 handles so now we have to wait till another sale *** . So my kitchen will look half * for how long just because you won't make an acceptance for one time ? For one customer ? One time ? No one would know it's not even a big deal or breaking a rule it's called customer service . I am always able to find something I like in this store. They have an unbelievable amount of decorations for every season and every holiday!! In addition to that they do framing, they sell tons of artificial flowers, already made arrangements, wall hangings of all sorts, all kinds of crafting material. All kinds of decorative items. Way to much to tell. Also, every time I go into this store they seem to have sales and 50% off. In addition to that, you can always go on-line and get a coupon on your phone and use that too! Had an unpleasant exchange in an otherwise nice store. I was asking for a price check on a licensed product to be sure. There's no price checkers in the store. Associate said it's $5.99. I asked if she could scan it to make sure because the entire end cap was on sale. Replied that she wouldn't and the store doesn't scan for prices. Well my picture frames were in an area with a sale sign and didn't have a clearance sticker, and they rang up on sale. SO THAT'S WHY I WAS ASKING ADISON. I didn't appreciate getting an attitude from a teenager but I'm not coming back to this HL anyway. read more

I love Hobby Lobby. I'm a paper crafter and they always have great selections and sales in this department. Tons of paper, supplies and if it's near a holiday, they'll have special setups for this with all kinds of things related to that holiday. Look for the "sale" corner, you can pick up some stuff pretty cheap. Store is large and very clean. I'm not crazy 1/2 the store is home decor. I'm not there for that. All the craft supplies are in the rear of the store. This is a good sized store so be prepared to walk. They do not carry craft magazines. And I have to drive from Riverview to Lakeland to shop t one of these stores. All of this loses one star. read more

this location in lakeland is doing absolutely NOTHING as far as covid precautions. saturday was crowded, no crowd control except one way in one way out at the outer doors. once in the lobby it doesn't matter. aisles are walk any which way you want to go and their aisles are narrow. carts and hand carry baskets are not being sanitized. no visible sanitizer for customers. read more

As craft and hobby stores in Lakeland go, this one is the best. Michael's is a close second, but they don't have fabric and their customer service repeatedly leaves something to be desired, so.... This HUGE store is well organized and clean, and has a great selection of craft, hobby, home decor items, etc. The employees that I have interacted with are polite and helpful, and take you to the item you are looking for instead of just pointing in the general direction (which I've experienced in competitors stores.) Check online for a 40% off of one item coupon before you go. There is one each week in their ads or online! You can print it out or show it to them on your smart phone - they accept either method, which is very handy! I am THRILLED that Hobby Lobby is in Florida now, and even more ecstatic that they put one in Lakeland. In response to the other review - Hobby Lobby moved into the old AMC Theater space, so the parking lot was already laid out and "there" before they arrived. There is nothing they could do to change the parking situation - any issues/complaints should be directed at the shopping center, rather than a store that rents space there. Also, as stated at the beginning of said other review, you can't base a rating on Black Friday. I haven't been in a store or parking lot yet that can handle that mess and madness, which is why I just stay home and shop on other, less chaotic, days. read more

Wish there was one closer to Brandon, but at least it is not to far. A buying tip: it seems like at least once a month everything in the store will go on sale (even if it is only one week). Why pay full price if you can wait it out. Just keep an eye on the circular and soon you will see it on sale. The prices are the same as other craft stores. But other craft stores do not have the selection of knick knack and wall stuff as Hobby Lobby has. They use an archaic register system. They have to manually enter the sale prices after ringing up the item. Make sure you pay close attention to avoid paying full price on a sale item. Great store, it is organized a little different than the store in Charlotte NC, but after walking around a bit we found what we were looking for and extra stuff. read more

The products in the store are very nice.. However, the cashiers and managers working today could not have cared less about helping my mother. She forgot her 40% coupon and her phone died just as she got to the register. She is a very sweet disabled lady and does not get to go out very much anymore. All she wanted was the discount for a package of cardstock paper so she can make her beautiful handmade cards for the holidays. It was awful that nobody helped when someone could have very easily. I absolutely LOVE hobby lobby. I have found so many thing in there that I love and the store really bring out my creative side! The only thing that I would improve upon is the check out. The cashiers have to manually type everything in versus scanning it. This process is very time consuming and it is very easy for the lines to get backed up. However, I can't find it in my heart to give this place less than 5 stars because I love it so much and everyone is super nice. read more

My first time at any Hobby Lobby. Wow. I totally was surprised at the amount of products available and the quality of everything I saw. It knocked me out! I bought lots of nautical items for my Coastal decorating scheme , a wall mural for my entryway and some beautifully done artificial flowers. Store itself is set up nicely. Great products and wonderful sales. Staff is friendly. However, the wait in line can make it aggrevating if you only have one product or have a slow cashier. Today I happened to have both. Extremely slow cashier and customers buying a houseful of products. Upon observation I noticed that the other cashiers were keeping a decent pace, about 3 to 4 minutes per person so maybe I just got stuck with the slowest one lol. When I say slow I mean, she had one person in line while the other cashiers had 4 or more. I should have known why lol. I was unable to switch lanes fast enough so I waited. My suggestion is watch the pace of the cashiers before getting in a line. Otherwise it is a great place to shop! :) read more

Great to have a store that has such a variety of hobby material. Including holiday items. Their variety is huge. Almost too large. Sometimes I have trouble choosing items because there is so much variety. I do enjoy shopping here for knitting items and photo frames. read more

I suppose I should not base my rating on Black Friday shopping but hey, if you can't handle the crowds, does it really matter? I was very disappointed from the get-go, at 5 pm on a Friday. The parking lot is poorly laid out and crowded, making it frustrating to simply park and get safely inside. Many "loser spouses" idled their vehicles in the lanes or in front of the store to wait for their significant other, creating an unsafe experience. One even blocked handicapped spaces. This should have been monitored and corrected by the management. Once inside, the store is spacious but it is difficult to figure out the lay-out. Everything seems random or mixed together. So if you are looking for a piece of furniture--you have to cover the entire store. Sometimes they have grouped things by color, other places they group by theme. Confusing. I looked for clerks for floor help. Four times, four clerks, seemingly not busy, walk the other way when a customer approached. I picked up several things without prices. There were lines at the register. Though there was a piece of furniture I would've bought, it was located in their picture window and I predicted an ordeal that caused me to "skip it". Give me Michaels any day! (Michaels has greater organization and greater art stock. Hobby Lobby seems to want to appeal more to decor or a "Southern Hospitality" style.) I need not return. Two-stars is generous for today's experience. read more
