But upon arrival, I can tell that it was a pretty laid-back please. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the games and their history, as well as some nostalgic items that were available. They also have lots of Funko pops if you're into that type of thing. I even like the way they use the ticket gun to price various items in the store. It reminded me of the old school candy store with the little stickers label posted on it. The items look well cared for and wrapped very thoroughly and methodically. I believe lots of the items are fairly priced and not overwhelmingly expensive. I was most impressed with the miniature video game console that sat at the front counter that pre-dated the Atari. What surprise me most about this location is that they had a actual arcade in the back with various games from the 80s like contra, galaxa, pong, Qbert, dig, dug, streetfighter, or Pac-Man, and they even had a racing game. Even though it was not a very, very large arcade, It really did bring back quite a bit of memories.

My prior experience with Daggerheart was a learn to play session at a convention, and the system did not really grab me, but Ray explained the system well and got everyone into the shared story telling aspect of the game, which is its real strength. Ultimately, Ray ran an amazing session and I left with an appreciation for Daggerheart as a system. The store itself was spacious, clean, and had a large offering of comics, figures, and TTRPG games and accessories. They also have a Warhammer 40K room that has an impressive array of Games Workshop products. The RPG section was smaller, but they had a good variety of RPGs and accessories. I definitely will be back for in-store games and any time I am looking for comics, figures, etc.

Moon Knight was released in 22, but I didn't watch it until nearly after a year later. There hasn't been a season 2 released but let me tell you I fell in love with the first season and for the first time in my life, I wanted to know more about the characters of Moon Knight. My boyfriend told me Moon Knight had been a comic for many years and that I should check the comics out...so I looked up Dade City comic book store and Facebook messaged them asking if they had some Moon Knight comics... The manager of the Facebook page responded within 20 minutes and said they did and that the store would be open at noon (yesterday/Tuesday) (nice!!! To the fast response and I'm already loving that!) I find a parking spot near the old court house because it was about 12:02 and parking was not open near the store I'm assuming because of the lunch crowd around Beef O' Brady's. I walk in and the gentleman said hi and asked if I was looking for anything. I told him I was completely new to comics. He took the time to explain how comics work issue wise, how the number system works, how to see what comics were part of collections, told me of websites to check for other comics he didn't have and showed me some one off and special edition comics. He also explained how important it was that when it came time to read the comics, to carefully remove the tape from the plastic sleeves and throw it away immediately so that it does not catch on the comic. When I was through reading, put the comic back into the protective sleeve, fold the flap down and then tape it back down for storage. He also informed many people vacuum seal them as well. But to definitely be careful of the tape!!! I am pretty sure with the exception of about 5 or 10 other releases, I bought all that he had available. I walked out having spent $130 in comics and a bag full of Moon Knight comics. I am extremely excited and I am glad they are in the community. The gentleman, named Danny, also let me know they have an online store as well which is nice too.

I was looking for some nice for Dungeons & Dragons for a friend for their birthday and I knew this…read morewas a good place to check. I arrive soon after they opened and interacted with the employees immediately. I was told and if I need anything to just let them know, and I just said, dice. They appointed me to the back of the store and told me where they would be. I wandered them back and took a look at their selection. I immediately found a set that would fit the bill for this occasion. I looked through a bunch of the store before having someone get them from the cabinet for me. I felt that I did really good because I only bought one comic book. I love these stores because everyone is friendly that works in them and I can always find way too many things that I want to buy. If you have young children that are struggling to start reading, you should consider starting them on comic books and getting them to actually read the words in them because it has been proven that children who start with comic books tend to learn to read younger, and then read throughout their lives . Obviously, you should only buy things that you feel are safe for your children, and there is always something to fit that bill.

You'll think a book series is amazing, but he'll shit talk it and ragebait you to buy something he likes instead. I've actually seen him put customers books back on the wall that they were willing to buy at the register. Brian is genuinely one of the most unpleasant people I've dealt with in a customer-facing environment. He constantly forces his opinions on customers, becomes confrontational when people disagree with him, and creates unnecessary drama over things that should never be an issue. Even worse, I've personally heard him make weird and inappropriate sexual comments about female customers when he apparently thought nobody was listening. It's disgusting and completely unacceptable in a workplace. Heard him call a star wars comic reader "STAR BABY". And talks about women that walk in to the store as his "Girlfriend" and he genuinely believes it in his mid. Surprise this place hasn't had a lawsuit against it yet, because his co-workers say that he does this all the time with women. He's a liability. I've also witnessed problems involving customers' books, arguments, and Brian throwing coworkers under the bus instead of taking responsibility. From the interactions I've witnessed, the frustration with his behavior clearly isn't limited to customers. A comic shop should be welcoming and fun, not somewhere you have to brace yourself for one employee's attitude, unsolicited opinions, and inappropriate comments. At some point, when the same person is repeatedly at the center of problems, the common denominator becomes obvious. NOOOO idea how they hired this weirdo back. He makes customers uncomfortable all the time. Also he gives free books away to people all the time when he thinks the camera isn't watching. He only rings up the big spending customers to tell his bosses how much he makes, even though other coworkers did all the work. Pathetic man ruining the nerd culture in Kissimmee.
