This place is located in the perimeters of Orlando, Florida in a small shopping center next to the…read morerestaurant. It's nice and Qwaint and sits in a hidden area behind later places. But upon arrival, I can tell that it was a pretty laid-back please. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the games and their history, as well as some nostalgic items that were available. They also have lots of Funko pops if you're into that type of thing. I even like the way they use the ticket gun to price various items in the store. It reminded me of the old school candy store with the little stickers label posted on it. The items look well cared for and wrapped very thoroughly and methodically. I believe lots of the items are fairly priced and not overwhelmingly expensive. I was most impressed with the miniature video game console that sat at the front counter that pre-dated the Atari. What surprise me most about this location is that they had a actual arcade in the back with various games from the 80s like contra, galaxa, pong, Qbert, dig, dug, streetfighter, or Pac-Man, and they even had a racing game. Even though it was not a very, very large arcade, It really did bring back quite a bit of memories.

I recommend this shop for anyone that wants a trustworthy purchase, great customer service, and guaranteed quality. The prices aren't that bad if you know what you're looking for

We needed a costume for Megacon and ended up at Gods and Monsters, what a fun little spot! Parking…read morewas easy and plentiful, and the store is tucked inside a cute covered plaza. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. While we wish they sold more masks and costume accessories, we were pleasantly surprised by how many cool items they did have. The store is very clean and well-organized. Highlights included the giant Gremlins and Pokémon vending machine, though sadly it was out of order, it was still fun to see! We also noticed a neat speakeasy out back that we definitely want to check out next time. Overall, this is a great spot for any nerd, collector, or cosplayer. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to come back!

They also had a nice selection of comics. My main collecting focus right now is old Mattel Secret Wars figures, while I didn't see any of those the Horror Figure section caught my eye. We ended up leaving with a set of Halloween 3 Toony Terrors and 2 of the 2012 Figures Toy Company reproduction Mego Mad Monster figures. All in all a solid shop we'll stop at whenever we're in town.

I am completely new to buying and reading comics. Last year I watched a new Marvel series (new to…read moreme) named Moon Knight. Moon Knight was released in 22, but I didn't watch it until nearly after a year later. There hasn't been a season 2 released but let me tell you I fell in love with the first season and for the first time in my life, I wanted to know more about the characters of Moon Knight. My boyfriend told me Moon Knight had been a comic for many years and that I should check the comics out...so I looked up Dade City comic book store and Facebook messaged them asking if they had some Moon Knight comics... The manager of the Facebook page responded within 20 minutes and said they did and that the store would be open at noon (yesterday/Tuesday) (nice!!! To the fast response and I'm already loving that!) I find a parking spot near the old court house because it was about 12:02 and parking was not open near the store I'm assuming because of the lunch crowd around Beef O' Brady's. I walk in and the gentleman said hi and asked if I was looking for anything. I told him I was completely new to comics. He took the time to explain how comics work issue wise, how the number system works, how to see what comics were part of collections, told me of websites to check for other comics he didn't have and showed me some one off and special edition comics. He also explained how important it was that when it came time to read the comics, to carefully remove the tape from the plastic sleeves and throw it away immediately so that it does not catch on the comic. When I was through reading, put the comic back into the protective sleeve, fold the flap down and then tape it back down for storage. He also informed many people vacuum seal them as well. But to definitely be careful of the tape!!! I am pretty sure with the exception of about 5 or 10 other releases, I bought all that he had available. I walked out having spent $130 in comics and a bag full of Moon Knight comics. I am extremely excited and I am glad they are in the community. The gentleman, named Danny, also let me know they have an online store as well which is nice too.

I arrive soon after they opened and interacted with the employees immediately. I was told and if I need anything to just let them know, and I just said, dice. They appointed me to the back of the store and told me where they would be. I wandered them back and took a look at their selection. I immediately found a set that would fit the bill for this occasion. I looked through a bunch of the store before having someone get them from the cabinet for me. I felt that I did really good because I only bought one comic book. I love these stores because everyone is friendly that works in them and I can always find way too many things that I want to buy. If you have young children that are struggling to start reading, you should consider starting them on comic books and getting them to actually read the words in them because it has been proven that children who start with comic books tend to learn to read younger, and then read throughout their lives . Obviously, you should only buy things that you feel are safe for your children, and there is always something to fit that bill.
