I used to love coming to this Hobby Lobby location and decorating my home with items from here, but recently my experiences have been completely ruined by the attitude of some of the employees. Over the last 2 months, one Hispanic young employee with red hair has made every visit extremely unpleasant with rude behavior and a terrible attitude. Today, she was also constantly staring at us in a very judgmental way and making us feel extremely uncomfortable the entire time we were shopping. No customer should feel watched or judged just for being in the store. The older cashier with glasses at the register was also openly looking us up and down and came across as very judgmental and unwelcoming. Customers should not feel uncomfortable or judged while simply trying to shop. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite stores, but the customer service lately has been awful. I really wish management would hire kinder, more professional employees instead of people with constant attitudes toward customers. read more

Huge selection of home goods, craft supplies, holiday decor and much much more! Prices are ok, keep an eye on their flyer for sales they are usually pretty good, and most always are posted in the isles as well. It dies get crowded and there is usually a wait to check out. Workers are friendly. read more

Not a crafty person by all means, but made a stop here before heading to the hardware store. To my surprise I found wood glue to do some interior RV repairs! I no longer needed to make another stop. Didn't realize how large this store is. They probably have more stuff I'm not aware of. read more

I had stopped shopping at Hobby Lobby - mostly due to the long lines and the cashier's lack of any urgency. I recently finished my degree - a 40-year trek due to military obligations....all I wanted was to get my degree professionally framed to seal the memory forever. I asked for help twice in the framing department - no one ever came to assist. The reason I gave 1 star is based on the inability of the staff to come to help. I found a frame that I liked (not perfect, but acceptable) and a mat (again, not perfect, but acceptable) and managed to walk out of the store with the "50% off frame" discount for under $30. I wanted a display piece - but ended up with a nice wooden frame at a "very discounted price" from what I intended to spend. Overall - Great experience for a DIY enthusiast, major loss of revenue for the company (I anticipated $200+ for the custom frame). I will never stand in line for 40 minutes again at Hobby Lobby - one and done. read more

I traditionally hang a wreath on the front wrought iron gate that leads into my entry court yard. I change it with the seasons. I wanted to get a springtime look in place, and found inexpensive daffodil plastic flowers; now I needed to locate a green wreath to complete my envisioned project. Winter is not a season for plastic wreaths -- the only place I could find one right now was at Hobby Lobby. And they were asking $60 and $70 for a plastic wreath! (Normally they run less than $20 at other retail stores.) I waited 'til they ran a 50% off sale. Then I bought a $69.99 wreath for $35.00. That's still almost twice as much as any other store! Granted, Hobby Lobby had what I was looking for, other places did not. The old law of Supply and Demand is alive. But I object to a business marking an item up 4x the normal cost, then "reducing" it down to twice the normal price. That strikes me as gouging the market. read more

I'm a Hobby Lobby enthusiasts....I like "hobby's", and I've been known to "lobby" for a good cause now and then so this store should be a perfect fit for me. This particular HL is a bit smaller than the ones I frequent in the DFW area, but the store was clean and spacious and the merchandise was nicely arranged. While it is true that I may not always agree with the company owners political standards I do respect the way they take care of the customers. After all let's be real,it's good customer service and their friendly staff keeps me returning to Hobby Lobby time after time. A respectable three star for Killeen's Hobby Lobby. I think it sucks that all the other craft stors are doing CURB SIDE SERVICE and this place decides its going to shut the front door I say we just don't shop their anymore when we needed them the most they BAILED!!! I am not much of a natural, artsy, crafty person, but the information you can receive from this store can give the plainest person wonderful, creative ideas! The store associates are always willing to help, and I'm so thankful for that because I'm always needing some kind of assistance. LOVE the fact that practically everything there is 50% off. And if it's not, I've got my reusable 40% off coupon that you can find online Love the fact that all the decorations there are original. Most of the items you can only find at hobby lobby. It's not like I can go into any department store and find the same wall art everywhere I go. I found a flower bunch that was $26 ALONE at Walmart... but at hobby lobby, I was able to create my own, and the flowers look almost exactly the same as the bunch I had seen earlier for only $1.50 a flower and $3.50 for the pot at hobby lobby, I spent $9.50 total per flower pot arrangement!!! Overall all great product for my money, and great staff. Definitely recommend this store!! read more

I'm also a huge fan of Hobby Lobby. Especially in this area, they really do have so many things that you just can't get anywhere else. I crochet a lot. It took me a few months, but I made the green and purple blanket of Fabulousness....well, that's what my family calls it. My husband was in Iraq, so I didn't have much to do. The blanket cost me around $100 in yarn...but it's WAY bigger than my king size bed. Oh yeah, we fold it in half to use it. I would NOT have been able to do it without the yarn sales they have. Oh....at one of those sales I discovered bamboo yarn. That's right...yarn made out of bamboo. You'd think it would be super rough...but it's incredibly soft. It's also super light and fluffy, and fantastic for scarves. I've already sent all my family like 5 each. (I know, I have way too much time on my hands.) read more

Eh it's a craft/home decor store, if your lazy like me you can buy something n pass it off as your own Martha Stewart-ness, and they have a lot of stuff for those real life Martha's, anywho the one thing I was looking for they didn't have, 10 aisles of fake plants but no fake grass? well not the kind I was looking for. This place is fantastic! Some of the stuff is overpriced for the quality, but I just wait for a sale. And they always have either a sale or a 40% off coupon online. Only thing I could complain about is the girl in the framing department. She has a very sullen demeanor, and my first encounter with her, I waited my turn and she passed over me twice for someone else. Second time she helped me she barely said a word to me or made eye contact. Really rude for someone in retail. Competitive against Michaels. Both are good places but I think Hobby Lobby has reasonable price for alot of stuff. I love when they close on Sundays to honor the Sabbath day. The only one place I have been to on Lowes blvd which people have disappointed me by lying to me about their clearance items at the checkout after argument with one of the cashier that item is still on sale, it even comes from the aisile with clearance signs on it. However I still bought it but they have lost my trust in this store. Overall nice but uneasy. read more

The store over all is clean, and well organized. HOWEVER, I was in there recently when they had just got a truck in, and nearly got ran over multiple times, from employees rushing to stock items. The bathroom is gross, and is in desperate need of a remodel. The handicap stall has been out of order at least the last few weeks. The only person overtly friendly there is a lovely lady that works in the fabric dept. Most everyone else seems to have a whatever attitude. There is one cashier, Peter, that is down right rude, and unprofessional. On multiple occasions he has made snide remarks, or invaded my personal space. I avoid his register at all cost, and if no one else is available I will just leave without making a purchase. If had other local options, I would stop shopping here completely. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service here is absolutely terrible. I stood by the frames counter for 20 minutes and never did get helped. I also had two separate coupons that I wanted to use which I have done in the past many times but today the cashier wouldn't let me. Np I would go to another. They went out of their way to tell that cashier that I already used a coupon. Then that cashier waits till I get all the way up to the front of the line to say you already used a coupon. Un-fu**ing believable. Funny how they have time to do that but can't seem to help me find the things I need when I ask for help. I won't be back. Coupon or not read more

Poorly run store. Seems there are always lines at checkout and yet today there were three employees standing at the registers---all registers closed except one--and they were talking! Staff not very friendly or particularly helpful. The picture framing department is very good though. read more

One of the few really great things about Texas is that they have Hobby Lobby stores. Hobby Lobby hands down beats Michaels and other craft-type stores. It really only has the minimum of mostly quilting fabrics, but sewers know to go to Joanns or Hancock for fabrics. I can only get my felting supplies at HL - no one else in the area seems to have them. They have a great selection of mosaic items, scrapbooking items, and tons of kitschy decor stuff. The "furniture" is always overpriced (always has been), but that doesn't bother me since I wouldn't be shopping for furniture here anyway. They have fantastic sales, but be forewarned: their best stuff, like oil paints, felting supplies, train stuff, mosaic stuff, and stamps, etc. are only rarely on sale, so watch the fliers. For those who haven't been there yet: what they don't have in ambience they make up for in product. They are always (and always have) closed on Sundays, but it's easy to plan around that, especially since they carry so much stuff that no one else has. Also, the staff *seems* kinda rude, but after talking with them, I have never once encountered an actually surly employee. Weird, but true. But I think that's due to havin' to live and work in Killeen. Ugh! read more

I love this place! They have everything that you need for arts and craft projects. I get a little overboard and buy excessive amounts of beads and frames and everything else this store has. They have really good sales too. A lot of the clearance items are all the way in the back and you can get a really good deal on the red tag items.
