Briefly visited his Hobby Lobby store and it was kind of exciting because I haven't been in one of these stores in years. The store feature tons of art and crafts! I was looking to hand make gifts for a birthday idea with my wife and this place had a great deal of most stuff some of the items like hats and caps are cheaply made so be careful washing it. Tons of great ideas if you're into putting pictures throughout your entire house and there is an endless amount of decor no matter what time of the season because it could be Halloween and Christmas inside at all times. Staff here was pretty friendly, the store is located in a busy strip mall with many things going on so be wary of traffic. Overall the store was pretty modern and has a lot of eye-catching things. My first thought when I walked through their front doors? "Man, you can land a plane in here!" Funny thing is, it's true! Sure, it'd have to be a small plane, but this place is so big that you're bound to find *something* in here that interests you, even if you're not there to buy anything specific. I usually am, though. Being something of an artist myself, I am always looking for the most inexpensive places to buy my materials since the term "starving artist" really tends to ring true, especially these days. Over the years, I've come to find that Hobby Lobby almost always has the best prices around (and if you watch their weekly ads, 50% off regular prices are an added bonus). In a store as large as this one, I'm almost guaranteed to be able to find what I'm looking for, too. I can't speak for all crafters or artists, but for my drawing/painting needs, Hobby Lobby is always the first place I go...and thankfully, since they normally have what I need in stock, it's the last place, too. read more

After covid-19, I was hoping the company would be smart and not having the same girl working the frame section that always messes up orders. She not only has screwed up my orders but also my relatives as well. I am a nice guy and don't want to give out names. But she is real tall for a woman. About 6 foot, really white skin, glasses and kind of heavy set. Looks to be about 40. Make sure you don't go to her if she is there. This store looks modern compaired to Tinley. And it is a lot cleaner also. The only thing that bugs the hell out of me are the sales. They don't have a scanner or bar codes so they have to manually put the price in the computer. So the associate has to look at the ad or you have to tell them if they miss it. WTF! And they put those damn signs everywhere so you don't know what is on sale. Otherwise they have a lot of neat stuff. read more

Huge selection! I've found supplies here for all my crafts, even some stuff that's difficult to find except at specialty stores. (Like stamp carving supplies and wool roving.) There are great sales, and most of the time you can find a 40% coupon on their website. They also have a huge sale section in the back on the store. read more

Hobby Lobby is my favorite place to shop, but this location has terrible customer service. The lines are always long with only one register open. The staff is not friendly or helpful. I was generous with the extra star because I love the store. read more

Had came last week looking for frames. Staff was very nice and helpful. Pictures were an odd size so then had to be ordered. They called me as promised. When I returned to have them matted one of the Associates had called in and there was only one Associate to assist. When I explained I was in a time crunch she could not of been anymore accommodating. Thanks to Ruth everything is ready for my event tomorrow morning. read more

This place has great furniture and trinkets for the house!!!! And although I don't buy into the whole religion thing, and I know that they have a secret affiliation with a branch of the Christian church, I cannot stop shopping here. Checkout is the worst. Always a line and I'm always waiting 10-15 minutes. Get with the 21st century guys and start scanning things instead of typing in every item including coupons. All I was looking for were Prismacolor graphite pencils. I needed two different sets when I ask the staff about them because they miss shelved them and they placed the one set in two places one including where the other set should be, they said "we don't have any" with a real bad attitude. They were not very friendly when I asked someone else if they had them in stock, they didn't even bother looking in the back to see if they didn't stock them yet. But at this store they don't do inventory electronically so they can never say if they have them in stock or not, but online it shows up if they have them or not and when I checked they did have them shown in stock. When we asked them if they could call another store to see if they had them they said that they won't do that, and that we would have to do it ourselves, because that's our problem ("very"helpful). We did end up calling the Bolingbrook store and they had the other set, the downside is when we called we were on hold for awhile but they were very helpful and nice to me when I asked. But the Joliet Hobby Lobby seriously needs an attitude change and be more friendly to their customers. read more
