I've been going through over 3 years. I like the customer service and employers very friendly.They'll help you if you need any help.

Service: Customer service throughout the isles was lacking. Not once did anyone asked if I needed help and I was struggling to get what I needed. Finally saw one employee on my way to checkout and someone asked her for asssistance (lets just say, she was not helpful to them). At checkout the cashier was nice. Selections: Large selections of holiday decorations already up (Halloween, Fall, Christmas). Great mark down prices on Summer toys. I snagged a couple for the kiddos. There's also a department in the back that make customized frames! Ratings: My 3 stars ratings are for selections & prices. The customer services took it down. Restroom: Not very disabled friendly Recommendation: Maybe give them a try if you are in the area. Not somewhere that I would drive out of my way for. read more

Updated review: this location is still clean and all inventory is available. I love the smell of flowers and fresheners. Xmas clearance in effect . Ornaments , wreaths, trees, outdoor blow ups. I'm a frequent hobby lobby shopper, however today was my first time in this particular store. The store is quite large, however somehow lacks inventory and polite cashiers . When I came in I was greeted by an employee (who was dressed like maybe he was a manager? Not sure) who was very friendly. The store overall was clean, and well organized though. I had found the last of a particular picture I wanted to buy however, it was severely damaged on the back of it. I've never experienced a hobby lobby not discounting the item if it's damaged, so when I went to check out I politely asked the cashier (who seemed annoyed by this question of mine) and they informed me they "do not discount damaged items because it can be fixed" .. if that's the case then can framing fix it? And I got an attitude. I left without that item, paid for the rest and went to the Rolla location which happened to have the same picture not damaged, for the same price St Louis wanted to charge me for one with a completely damaged back Needless to say, I won't go back if I'm in the area not because of the limited inventory they seemed to have but because of the lack of politeness from the cashier. read more

The line is always going to be long. I've come here in the past two days and there were three registers open both times and both lines were really long. I will say Hobby lobby has everything that you can think of and more. They always have a good sale going on which I also appreciate. read more

Very bad experience the sales team was very rude and gossiping on the walkie talkie while working on the floor making fun of customers they saw . Niyah was the sweetest and the most polite and helpful, on the other hand Thaddeus was very rude and shouldn't be a greeter at the front door if he continues to be disrespectful read more

I've been to this location a few times over the last couple of months. My main shopping goal was holiday décor and they have lots of it! I was impressed with the selection and the price points (note that I only buy things from here on sale or with a coupon). The store itself was very clean and had multiple registers open. I was able to shop easily and get my cart through aisles. Overall I've only had great experiences here. read more

I didn't care for this Hobby Lobby. I felt disoriented when I entered. I never did find the clearance section. Perhaps they were sold out of everything. Actually, their Christmas section was well stocked. Not like the store closer to my home The checkout is in an odd spot. They're up front but away from the exit. First time I'd been up to this Hobby Lobby location. It seems much the same as all the other Hobby Lobbies I've visited across the US. It's the first week in November and their Christmas stuff is up AND 60% off. Craziness. Good bargains are to be had. I rarely need help so the lack of employees on the selling floor doesn't impact me much, unlike the long lines at the registers because there aren't enough cashiers. I won't go into their politics, but the workers I do encounter are usually nice. read more

I am one of those people; one of those people that decorates their desk for each minor holiday and leaves candy and breath mints for the masses. I love being festive but just because I have candy and treats doesn't mean every time you come by we should have a 15 minute Seinfeld talk about nothing - feel free to grab and go. So I needed some new updated Thanksgiving chotchkies for my desk and found myself here. I just left another place in the area and couldn't find anything and another customer alerted me to this location. I thought Hobby Lobby was just for scrapbooking and things like that but there are lots of cool things in here. Also knowing about the Owners political stance on female issues - going here was never a thought. I've never been in a Hobby Lobby and I'm very pleasantly surprised. There is an area for custom framing and it's not just those cheap plastic frames, they have wood and metal varieties with actually nails involved. They have a fabric cutting section and lots of other holiday accouterments. It's a very good clean location and not all jumbled like some of its counterparts. The young ladies working there could have been more attentive but I could tell they were really young. They also have coupons and many things for fall were marked 50% off (not old stuff they wanted to get rid of but good stuff). If you are looking for light home décor, wedding stuff, crafting items, party favors, or just the extra something that you don't even know you need this is a great place to come. read more

awful customer service, i walked up to a worker and said "hi i have two questions," just to be responded with a rude, annoyed, "okay?" girl. i don't know who she thought she was talking to, i'd understand if i had approached her also sounding rude and annoyed, but i didn't. she was a short older white woman with a pixie cut and some little glasses btw. i know customer service sucks, but as someone who WORKS in customer service, i would never be rude to a customer who did nothing to me. read more

I've been standing in line for 20 minutes, The terminals are not working so nothing can be processed except cash transactions. No manager is on duty and the employees are being given no help. Don't open your doors if you're not prepared to function properly. Employees are great, SUPPORT FOR THEM IS NOT AVAILABLE! read more

Disappointing to go to the store and shop around a little bit at lunchtime but not be able to pay for my purchases because they only have one check out open. No time to wait in a line out into the shopping area! Why not have more lanes open during lunch? read more

This store is pretty well stocked and clean all the time. My disappointment comes from the staff. The manager is less than friendly. This morning, the cashier, Christa, made a rude comment about another customer in line, smiling, as if I was going to join in on it. Given the fact we are both white and the other customer was African American, it's hard not to think the comment she made was driven by racial differences. This location must have a hidden room where all the associates hide. I can never find anyone to help or answer a question. On the rare occasion you find someone coming out of that hidden room and can sprint to chase them down to ask a question , its almost like you bothered them. They are not friendly at this location at all. I find more assistance in my facebook craft groups on where to find things in the store than I do with an associate. The store is kept clean and sale signs are always posted where they are visible. If you know what you are going in for you can usually get out pretty quickly as checkout moves pretty smooth. read more

I will never shop here again. I started shopping here because of their projected values and beliefs. I found out it's all a front. I applied for a job when I found out they were building a new store. I was hired and worked my rear end off to get the place set and stocked for the opening. I was even retained as an associate after the opening. However, less than one month after the store opened I was let go and given the line that the store wasn't doing as well as expected. They know all this in a month? When the manager told me I was done I looked him in the eye and told him I would be homeless in a month. I had been out of work for 3 1/2 years and couldn't afford my apartment any more and had nowhere else to go. I thought this job was a blessing and would allow me to stay in my apartment. But they let me go anyway and gave me ZERO compassion. Promoting Christian beliefs and family values? Hardly!! The truth is that I did lose my apartment and Hobby Lobby couldn't care less. So while they're in court fighting for birth control legislation they're letting their employees go to become homeless. Ridiculous. read more

This Hobby Lobby seems to be on par with any other that I've visited. Does it hold a candle to the art supply selection of say ArtMart, no. Does it compare to the craftsy-ness of Michael's, also no. Is there any better place to find the same combination of the two in one store with a decent fabric and yarn arts selection to boot? I doubt it. Remaining lightyears away from a discussion of their politics, Saint Louis really has no better options for a store with a diverse selection of products from many different arts/crafts disciplines. Service/help in the aisles can be hard to come by as it seems they tend to always run a skeleton staff, however once you find what you're looking for in their impeccably well organized store, you're assured to be out of there in no time as their checkers are without exception knowledgable and proficient. I'm ususally here at least once a month and every time is a pleasure. read more
