When i first arrived in the store after 4pm today... i was greeted...and then I began to walk thru the isles...immediately a young male employee began to follow me as I went thru the Christmas discounted stuff.. He even took a photo of me--because i heard his iphone do that. Im not sure why? If it was he thought I was going to do something ..because I am hispanic older woman, or what? He faked he was working for 3 isles...and passed by me several times... and finally at the 3rd isle went away... Well I continued my shopping and left after I paid my $144. dollars of merchandise... I didnt understand the young mans reason for doing what he did.. FYI: When i went thru another isle I did see a caucasion woman stuffing things in her pants front..... each isle does not have a camera..and those are the ones that are being robbed.. SUCH A WELL ESTABLISHED STORE SHOULD HAVE CAMERAS ON EVERY ISLE... read more

On Sept 14, I purchased several large gold letters from the store in Banning (#729) for $9.99 each. Oddly enough, one of the letters displayed at this store had a yellow sticker price tag of $6.80 so I did make sure to ask about the price discrepancy. The manager, I believe his name is Anthony, first explained to me that maybe a customer had falsely placed that price tag on it, since as he put it "that happens sometimes". After he took the letter in his hands and inspected it more closely, he concluded that since that particular letter had a slight crack on it, that had to be the reason for the price difference. Either way I believed him and ended up paying the higher price. The next day, Sept 15, I drove to the Temecula store in search of a missing letter. There I found that all the letters were marked at the $6.80 price. The employees there apologized for the inconveinence and refunded me the price. When I returned to Banning to purchase one more letter, Anthony once again denied me the price and claimed that since the store was "new" they did not have clearance yet. This is a very odd explanation. One would think, despite the fact that a store is new, they should still adhere to the same price as all the other stores. To top it all off, when I visited the Redlands store the next day, they too had the price of $6.80. Be aware that if you visit this particular Hobby Lobby you may end up paying more... Because after all, they are "new". read more

We were so excited that a Hobby Lobby opened up near us. I am a super nerd and I play a lot of table top miniature war games and I make a lot of terrain. Hobby Lobby always has a great selection of craft stuff. I only wish it was open on Sundays and that everything relies on coupons to make it worth while. read more

An employee actually spoke to me!!! As a matter of fact, two (2) employees spoke to me. Unfortunately, the reason behind the jovial greeting was due to the fact that the store was closing in under five (5) minuets. I was greeted by what appeared to be a manager as I walked through the front sliding doors with a "got about 2 mins bud." Then upon walking through the aisle looking for a hot glue gun, I was unexpectedly greeted by yet another hobby lobby employee! This also appeared to be another manager clearing the store of wondrous shoppers. I was greeted by a "hello sir, is there anything I can help you find? We close in a couple min..." before the gentleman could finish warning me of the stores closing I asked him where I can find the hot glue guns. To my surprise the gentleman was more than happy to help me locate the aisle where the glue guns were located. So, if you're looking for a hobby lobby employee to greet you, let alone ask if you need help, I would recommend going ten (10) minutes before the store closes. Christianity at its best!!! read more

It always takes forever to check out. Always, I'm not exaggerating, every time I've been here there's a long line and one cashier. I love going to the big box stores to see the things I buy, but I'm beginning to understand Amazon. You can get it cheaper and it arrives quick. Their customer service is great too. This Hobby Lobby needs to invest in cashiers, they have a manager up front talking to employees. Jump on a register and collect money. read more

This was my favorite craft store when I lived in Northern Utah. I was ecstatic to learn that there was one near Beaumont, CA, so close too home, finally!! I love the religious wall decor, it was refreshing because it brought back great memories of living in Utah. The wedding section was a bit smaller than expected, but the store is in great shape and the sales clerks are decent. I have already purchased so many decorations for my new home. There is always a sale going on, and I find great deals. So grateful to have found this again!! read more

Went here the other night, my 13 year old in tow on crutches. I forgot to get a cart, and right away an employee offered to get me one. We had someone else ask if we needed any help. The store was nice, lots of Christmas stuff already, which my daughter loved going through. At checkout, the cashier was super nice and friendly, had a whole conversation with my daughter, even the manager came over and joked around with her. Super nice staff. And my daughter is already planning her next trip back. read more

I absolutely love this store, however my experience yesterday was unfortunate... I arrived and picked out some fabric and ribbon for my daughter's costume, and although the employee cutting the fabric was a very nice lady, it took her a while to cut the fabric, but that wasn't even what got me hot and bothered. The ribbon was 50% off and I got like 6 different ribbons. I also got 4 different fabrics for which I used my 40% off coupon on the most expensive. Two of the fabrics I had chosen were two different colored tulle fabrics, but equally priced. By the time my fabric was cut, the store was already closed and so I went to pay, and I felt like my bill was a bit high, but I left it that way and checked the ticket as soon as I got out the door... After calculating the items myself, I realized they hadn't applied the 50% off sale on 3 of my ribbons, and also on one of the two similar fabrics I got, I was charged more for some reason. I briefly debated with returning the next day to let them know, after all $5 is still $5, but because I didn't have the paper with the breakdown of the yardage and pricing for the fabric, and the fact that I was literally just there, I decided to knock on the door to get the girls attention so that they can rectify the problem. The girl whose attention I caught, explained my problem to another girl in the background that was closing the registers, at least that's my guess... she had just switched to a new register, and there could have been one last one to close, but they just said there was nothing they could do because the registers were closed. She told me to come back the following day with my receipt and everything I purchased. I was upset as I had planned to start on my daughter's costume as I only had an evening and that night to work on it. I made sure she knew I was unhappy about having to hold off on starting my project. Very upsetting! read more

My 6 year old son loves to save his money and make a special trip to the store to pay for a toy he picked out himself with his own money from his own wallet. Usually, we get a stoney faced cashier that doesn't acknowledge his excitement, even when he's practically bursting... But today, we had a ray of sunshine at Hobby Lobby with Lisa. She took the time to actually engage with my son, had a conversation about what he bought, helped him count his money... She made it really special, and I'm so grateful for people just like her. On this last trip to Hobby Lobby, I had a return which another cashier was super helpful with, I had to have someone help me get some awesome Spiderman art down, and then we ended with Lisa. End to end, everyone was helpful, kind, patient, and just all around awesome. I'm always happy to go here because everything is so fun to imagine taking home, but today was icing on our cake. There's a reason why I always shop online from Amazon, from China, Joanne, etc.... I came in with a Coupon which says 1 per person per day. Used it on a product turned around gave the coupon and my same card that I just paid with to my husband and got another item with the coupon. Rethink the customer service of this issue and just honor it, it's not hurting your profit margin. To the employees: service your guest, terrible guest service all over the store. Girl name Michelle S was called up to help ring and she came up annoyed looking that she had to come up. Worst service at its best will never come back to this store. read more

I normally love Hobby Lobby and am usually happy to shop there but I have to say I was very disappointed this holiday season when I went there to shop for Christmas decorations. It was the end of November and they were out of stock for a lot of things and shelfs were bare! They were already shifting things around and making room for spring, for Hobby Lobby Christmas was over a month before it arrived and they were on to a different season, it was very sad and it felt like it's all about making money without savoring this season for celebration. Yes I will continue to shop there but my feelings and attitude towards Hobby Lobby have been altered. read more
