HNL Studios...how can I even describe how God has blessed my husband and me by finding such an amazing business to handle our wedding photography/videography?   I initially found HNL Studios years ago through an old classmate of mine; I loved the style of her wedding photos and I wanted something similar for when I got married.  So I followed them on instagram.  Fast forward 4 years later and I got engaged.  I'm the type of girl who has had her dream wedding planned in her head since she was 6 years old and I just knew that I had to have HNL Studios to do photography/videography, so I literally contacted them and my dream venue within a week of getting engaged.  My husband and I got married exactly within a year of our engagement; during that time, Keshia and Charles made it almost effortless to plan our wedding.  They were always willing to answer any silly questions we had and we had great vibes during our planning meetings. Let's fast forward to the day of the wedding.  I have no idea how Charles and his team do it, but they made everything super easy and seamless.  The photographers and videographers know exactly how to direct the couple, wedding party, etc. especially when there are some super camera-shy people.  The videographers really know how to capture the couple's love story within a few minutes.  The photobooth staff was so professional and fun, it was such a big hit at the reception.  Not to mention the props are super fun!  Romeo Valentine was super great with emceeing/DJ'ing our reception - shoe game ftw!  Such a great team and professional staff! Fast forward to our gallery and wedding video reveal.  Again, I have no idea how they did it, but they managed to capture all the warmth and fun that we had on our wedding day.  It was so hard for me to pick only 120 pictures for our wedding album because so many of the pictures were spectacular and eye-catching.   I know that wedding photography/videography packages can be very expensive, but trust me, this was worth every single penny.  What's amazing about HNL Studios, is that weddings are THEIR THING.  The heart and intentionality that is put behind every wedding that they capture is evident in the quality of the photos and videos they produce. HNL Studios, I cannot thank you enough for the amount of hard work that y'all put into capturing our wedding day.  Y'all are the MVP's; not just 5-stars, 10-stars, 20-stars, 100-stars.  God bless y'all!! Love always, the Juarez's read more

Newly engaged?? You've come to the right place if you're reading this review! Charles and his team are AMAZING!! I booked them for my upcoming wedding and got the package that includes an engagement shoot. Keshia was so helpful since the very beginning. She is always checking on me to see if there's anything I need help with and with this pandemic, there have been many changes in plans for my wedding. :( But, HNL has been SUPER understanding and helpful. My fiance and I took our engagement photos in January and we LOVE how our photos turned out! It was exactly what I wanted and they captured both us and the beautiful scenery perfectly! I love that we get to know them (and vice versa) before the big day so we could both get comfortable around one another. My fiance and I have never taken professional photos before so it was a bit awkward at first but, after HNL explained the different poses, it was a breeze! Charles and Nikki are super down to earth and easy to work with. They are dedicated to their work and are passionate about what they do. When I told them where I wanted to take my engagement photos, they went there beforehand to scope it out since they had never been there before. Now that's dedication & service! I can't wait for them to be at my wedding! I just know they will do an amazing job at capturing all the right moments! read more

If I could give HNL Studios 10 Stars, I would! My (now) husband Jacob and I chose HNL Studios as our engagement and wedding photographers. Beyond the beautiful photos Charles and Nikki captured, we were beyond amazed at the professionalism, flexibility, and care we experienced from the whole team. Keshia responded to my (frequent) emails promptly and always checked in if we had any questions. There were a number of packages/services offered, including their well-known HNL Photobooth Co. Our wedding had to be postponed from September to late October due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but we were met with understanding and strategic advice from the team on how to best and safely proceed and move forward. They welcomed our thoughts and feedback and adapted accordingly, up until the last minutes of our wedding night. Needless to say, we have no regrets choosing HNL Studios. They are talented, hard-working individuals who not only do a job well done, but go above and beyond to ensure their clients have a positive experience they can look back on past their engagement shoot/wedding night. read more

We worked with Charles and his team for our engagement photos, wedding photos, wedding videography, and photobooth. They made the planning process for the photo portion quite smooth. On the day of our wedding, they helped make us feel comfortable, we were able to enjoy all the moments without feeling rushed, and JJ, Zeb, and the team were super accommodating to changes and surprises along the way. Overall we were very pleased with our photos and loved how the video highlight got a little bit of everything of our wedding day. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. There is a lot of staff to help with various parts that come with wedding planning. We would recommend them to our family and friends! read more

My fiancé and I used HNL Studios for our engagement photos and worked with the owners, Nikki & Charles. They were amazing! I'm so happy with how our photos came out. We did shoots at multiple places for day and night photos and they were so patient with us lol it's so uncomfortable being in front of a camera and posing while trying to make it seem natural (way easier said than done) Since everything went so well, it was an easy decision to use HNL Studios for our wedding (photo, video, photobooth AND dj) and although we've had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19, the HNL team has been more than accommodating. Appreciate you guys! read more

I had an engagement photo shoot with JJ and Charles when I was visiting Hawaii in August 2022. I cannot say enough great things! They were both so kind and did such a great job. They took the time to get to know us as people and made sure to capture our photos exactly how we wanted. They also were so patient with my fiancé and I since this was our first photo shoot. Thank you both so much for the wonderful time it was for sure one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii!! Steph Richter & Ross Becker read more

Wedding planning is stressful. There is no getting around that. But when you have a wedding team like HNL Studios, you can rest assured that your special day is going to be perfect. As you go through your wedding planning, you will soon realize that it's very rare to meet wedding vendors who take the time know what is important to you as an individual and connects with you on a personal level that HNL Studios does. I dare you try to find a vendor that after booking them will reply back to your text or emails within a day! Its quite funny when you think about it. This is not the case with HNL Studios as they replied really quickly and were able to work with me to make me feel at ease with each call, text or email. I'm a huge photography enthusiast. I remember looking up dozens of photographers (not an exaggeration) during wedding planning. When I finally stumbled upon the HNL Studios website, I instantly knew they were the team for us. They are incredibly talented, and their shots and storytelling of our wedding is evidence of their God-given gifts as creative professionals. They understand composition. Each shot is a work of art. Their creativity was especially evident on our wedding day. I remember the immediate relief that flooded my anxious nerves the moment that Charles and Nikki walked in through the door as we were getting ready for the wedding. Despite the unpredictable wind that blew on the day of, they were having fun with the wind and how it played with my veil!! I could tell they look at challenges as opportunities for something amazing and I couldn't help but feel secured. They are worth every penny and more. They deserve more than a 5/5! Investing in HNL Studios was one of the best decisions my husband and I made as a newlywed. The amount of love and joy they helped bring out in our lives is beyond the scope of this review. They aren't just awesomely talented photographers, but also genuine and generous people. They were sensitive to our unique situation and still made things work. We'll never forget each act of kindness. It shows in their work and it shows in their smiles. It's worth entrusting your wedding memories to professionals who will celebrate with you. Charles and the HNL Studios team were nothing short of phenomenal. They made our wedding day in Honolulu extremely memorable, especially with the ridiculously fast turnaround on photography and videography. Charles has a very keen vision around the artful photography/film they create and our wedding was certainly no exception to their extraordinary work. Keshia the studio manager was quick to help with all our requests leading up to the wedding. Charles the lead photographer for us was very friendly and pleasant to work with. They knew how to direct with great professionalism. Throughout the ceremony and reception, he and his team slipped in and out of the shadows and caught hundreds of beautiful unforgettable shots. Shortly after after our wedding, they provided us with our amazing wedding album and metal wall art as promised. Seeing our photography displayed beautifully in our new home is a priceless and heartwarming feeling we will have for the rest of our lives. We were also very impressed by the quality of their printed products that we ordered more albums for each side of our famiy. HNL Studios gave us everything we ever wanted and more. For this I am so thankful. I highly recommend HNL Studios. read more

Wow, I am so happy with their services that I am not even sure where to begin! I searched for a photographer for WEEKS before we stumbled upon HNL Studios. I was immediately struck by their artistic style and that they had the timeless look were after. HNL Studios did both our engagement and wedding photography. I am so awkward in front of the camera, but Charles our photographer made me feel at ease and comfortable every step of the way. Keshia the manager is very professional, down to earth, and always responsive with my emails. What I loved most about our wedding day experience with HNL Studios, was their confidence helping me relax knowing everything was going to work out. Ladies--You need people like this on your wedding day. Our photos are memories we will treasure forever. Each picture clearly captures the hundreds of emotions that happened that day. If you want an amazing experience from start to end, book HNL Studios. Thank you! read more

From booking to the day of my daughter's 1st birthday luau, the entire process was a breeze. Keshia responded to emails very quickly, usually within an hour (if not, it won't even be a full day without getting a response). The staff at the party came early to set up the photobooth and had it started up on time. They were also professional and very friendly. They even approached me at the end of their service to say thank you. No complaints of pricing especially for the amazing picture quality you'll get. Also, the boomerang feature was super fun! Highly recommended! I'd book with them again in an instance! read more

From the very beginning, HNL Studios gave us an experience of precision and professionalism. Offering photography, videography, photo booth and dj services. Inquiring was a breeze with alot helpful information on their website as well as made it very easy to sign an agreement, setup auto bill (so I don't forget) and payment reminders. When I first fell in love with their work and what they offered, I wasn't sure if we could afford them however we chose to move the wedding budget around to make it work. Honestly this was the best decision we could have made, having HNL Studios at our wedding was worth every penny. Since we booked with them later than most, we did our engagement photography pretty close to our wedding. My husband usually dislikes the pressure of looking a certain way but Nikki and Charles made it so comfortable and natural for him. It's like they did photo magic and we became instantly friends. As we pulled out of the parking lot of our engagement session I was surprised to hear my fiance say "that was SO much fun!" When it came to the wedding, I cannot say enough things about how special they made the big day. The HNL Studios team treated our family like their own. They made the long process of taking family portraits so enjoyable and fun. Toward the reception they had a large and beautiful display showing our engagement photography throughout the wedding reception for all our guests to enjoy. Be sure to inquire about this feature! We highly recommend including the "HNL Photobooth" in your package. This turned out to be an incredible and hilarious keepsake for us. It's funny to see what your guests get caught doing when they have some silly props and a camera! Might I also add that our wedding photography turned out beautifully. I still can't pick my favorites as they were really intuned with what we were looking for. They are all incredible! What I love most about HNL is how genuine they are. Besides with my husband, I was with HNL Studios the most on my wedding day and it's important that they are a right fit. They love people and love taking photography of those people. They really do invest in their couples in such a real way that it makes you feel that you are the most important bride and groom in the world. We look forward to many more years of friendship and thank you to the entire crew at HNL Studios! read more

HNL Studios surpassed my highest level of expectation for any photographer! From beginning to end, they have been nothing short of amazing. I appreciate the quick response to our inquiry, making it easy for us to book around our busy schedules. From Charles taking the time to speak to my husband to get a better understanding of what we were looking for in our photos, before the actual photoshoot. We sent him some pictures of what we were interested in and he was able to find us a beautiful location. The great communication between my husband, Charles, and Keisha, made it that much easier the day of our shoot. The most awkward part of any shoot is not knowing what to do, but Charles made sure to keep it fun, guided us every step of the way, and basically lead this photoshoot to complete success. We couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of their work and our overall experience with him and his team. We're obsessed with how amazing our photos turned out!! Definitely recommending them to all the couples we know and we look forward to working with them in the future. Again, THANK YOU HNL STUDIOS!!! read more

Just had my destination wedding last Friday and everyone loved the photo booth! The background was really pretty (we had birds of paradise) and the props were modern and new, not cheesy and cheap looking like some other companies I looked into. The panda hat was a hit!!!! Pictures came out great and we were able to customize our design to what we wanted. From the beginning Keshia was very quick to respond (which is a big deal for me with any wedding vendor) and answered every single question I had. Highly recommend HNL photobooth and would hire them again for any important event if I lived on Oahu!!! read more

HNL was fantastic. Their staff was extremely professional, they had great props and one of the best equipment packages I've seen at a wedding. 10/10 would recommend.
