OH MY GOODNESS!! Let me start off with a HUGE THANK YOU to Rosie and JP for an amazing experience!! I've been following JP on Instagram for a little over a year and I love his work. It has always been my dream to do a photo shoot but I was self-conscious about my body (mom-bod) Till one day I said "F**K IT!! I am turning 48 soon! Just do it!!" When I booked my photo shoot. I thought to myself "what did I sign up for?" I was excited and nervous... What am I gonna wear? Lol! I didn't own any outfits, etc, etc. The questions went on in my head. I never thought I had it in me to do a shoot with JP! I stumbled across his Instagram about 5 years ago and just admired his stunning work and all of the beautiful women in his posts. In my mind, I just couldn't do it and made ALL the excuses not to...my body wasn't the same after having two kids, I hate my nose, my tan lines are crazy...basically, I wasn't comfortable in my own body. From the beginning to the end, this was an amazingly unforgettable experience. I was in contact with JP back in March regarding my interest in a Boudoir session, on the beaches of HI in October. Coming from VA, I was unsure what to expect in HI, much less a boudoir session as this was my first one. JP made this experience so simple and easy. He established boundaries, asked my insecurities, and helped me decide on which outfits to bring (I had so many options and no idea where to start). He worked with my schedule being that I was on vacation and communicated very well. His wife Rosie was a total sweetheart. She took her time and really showed passion in her work. If you're like me, and think "I don't look like them" SISTER.. JP and Rosie, do that, and then some! I always thought, maybe lose some weight, tone her...Nah, I love food to much.. Book it and get a mani and a pedi before and your golden. I had wanted this for YEARS! Before my keiki, during my keiki and after my keiki. It took me a hot minute to realize that I wanted this but I actually needed it. US WOMAN ARE BEAUTIFUL in all shapes and sizes babe, we need this. I was always the one capturing everyone else but this time, it was just ME.. I have no idea how to pose for photos like this or what to wear, but JP made himself my mirror, and boy, this mirror was thee best mirror EVER! I initially was timid of course but for some reason after the shoot, honestly, felt like being captured by him, made me feel like I've done this before. I bought 8 options and 2 heels for me to wear and guess what??? I wore only a blazer lol... Best freaking decision. NUMBER 5!! this is my 5th shoot with JP. My 4th one I guess I forgot to write a review..... Let me just say! I can never get tired of doing this. It's so addicting. Brought the hubby this time. We have 3 kids and wanted to do something different. We wanted to see our relationship in the moment and have it forever. I mean common, who has the time with three kids. Sports, activities, work, etc. Sometimes you forget the intimacy when you're so busy. Anyways... It was so fun. I've done it pregnant and now I can say I've done it with my husband. It really fires up my life. It's fun! It's not your average thing. It's a thrill like skydiving lol Rose is so great when she's doing makeup and hair. It's not awkward at all. It's not your average pose and take a picture. You don't know what to expect. We ended up taking pictures with the outfit I came in. (Not expecting to shoot in that outfit at all) JP really lives in the moment with you. You don't know where you're going to be in the photos. You don't know how you will be posing. It's spontaneous. I'll naturally be doing something as he'll say "oh I like that" "do that" ITS YOUR MOMENT. The pictures are a complete surprise to you. Not in an editing way. In a way you've never expected. He pays attention to the way you look, what's your preferred side. He captures the features of yourself that you love, in a way you don't expect. I can't express how amazing the experience is. Especially if you're a mommy, or shy, or just want to share something with someone else. Anyone can take a picture, a nice picture, but not everyone can capture the moment. The real moment. My experience with JP Moulin was nothing short of phenomenal. I'm still reeling from my boudoir shoot yesterday!! JP was so easy going yet professional at the same time. My nerves were high, I was even shaking a little when I first met him, having never done anything like this before. You could say I'm shy and insecure about my mom body, but he has a way of making you feel comfortable within minutes of meeting him. Talks with you about what you're confident about, what you may have insecurities about, your personality type, etc. and is somehow able to incorporate all that information into his photos. He capitalizes on your best assets and will make you feel sexy and confident as hell! This was such a great experience, I'm already starting to plan my next booking. From the very start JP was awesome! He was very easy to get a hold of and made sure to answer any questions I had along the way before my shoot. I was super nervous as this was my first time doing anything like this. I had seen his portfolio and had been following his page for a number of years and finally decided it was time to do something for me. He was super professional throughout the whole process. He helped me decide on outfits that would look good in the shoot. He made sure to let me know what types of outfits I should be looking for in my closet and what I should stay away from if I was going to purchase. The day of my shoot, i was extremely nervous, but super excited. Once I finally met him and Rosie it felt like I was part of their family. They are both so welcoming and you immediately feel relaxed when talking with them. Rosie's make up skills are so amazing. She works with you and asks what your outfits look like and makes your look compliment the outfits. She made me look amazing. I was completely obsessed with my make up, I didn't wanna take it off. My hair typically does not hold curls well, but she made it last. After hair and make up were pau, I went to the site to meet JP for the shoot. He communicated everything from the start: his process, where to put my things, the layout of the house, his ideas and what he thought would look cool, everything. He took the time to answer any questions or concerns that I had. He made sure that I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. When it came time to shoot, he talked me through the whole thing. How to pose, where to look, asked what I felt comfortable with. The whole time flew by so fast. I was having so much fun. He showed me some shots he took throughout which looked amazing. I did a session with JP and his wife 5 years ago! Which was truly an amazing experience! It was my 30th birthday present to myself and also a going away gift for my boyfriend now husband! I plan to do another session on my 40th (wink wink JP)! But more recently I noticed that all my photos disappeared and I had no idea how they got deleted and thought that I had lost them forever! I initially felt hesitant to do this shoot only because I came in not feeling as confident as I did when I was physically fit a year ago. However, back then I was at my peak for a Bikini Competition show. I loved my shoot with JP. It started with hours of gabbing away, as Rosie applied makeup and did my hair. When in therapist mode, I can talk, no problem. But when it's me, as myself, with an unknown person? I'm constantly fighting an urge to clam up. Rosie chatted the whole time, and I could feel my awkward self relax. I started to talk more, we started laughing, sharing personal stories, and even created some inside jokes. She has definitely heard it all, and anything I said was accepted without judgment. When Rosie had finished, she handed me a mirror and I stared back at my smokeshow self. When I say that I didn't recognize the face in the mirror, it's because my eye naturally goes directly to the little things that usually drive me crazy. This time, I found that my gaze meandered to details by which I was pleasantly surprised. It was still me, but it was me in ways I never would have magnified on my own. As I headed to the shoot site, I started getting nervous. JP could tell immediately and was kind, professional, and courteous. He showed me around the site and we did a little bit of chit-chatting before he took charge. JP and I had already chosen outfits with a few options, so he suggested a rough game plan for shooting. Three outfits, three locations throughout the house. I could tell when he had brief flashes of inspiration, when I'd shift between shots and he'd say, "Actually, can you do that again with your arm?" He'd show me a few shots here and there when we were on a streak. We talked a lot during the shoot, and before I knew it, it had been roughly two and a half hours. I had no concept of time, just posing and talking. When I went home that night, I felt sexy. It's hard to explain, but I felt more ownership of my body. It's been one week since my photo shoot with JP and I'm still on a high! Like many women, I've been following JpMoulin Photography on IG for at least 2 years. I finally decided to take the leap and booked a shoot in celebration of Mother's Day's. Our correspondence was smooth and Jp helped me feel comfortable with my wardrobe choices. The experience is always wonderful, and we have an adrenaline high for at least 24 hours after the shoot... and even before we see all the shots! Getting ideas of what will work best from pictures you send him before the session, then he can get ideas for your best angles. I am a 38year old mom of 3. This past year was just the worst year of my life medically and I always wanted to do a photoshoot before I got sick. I have been following them on IG for awhile and just kept thinking I need to do this first, lose more weight, etc. I am telling you forget all that shit and JUST DO IT! This was the most amazing experience from the start to finish. JP helped me the day before with clothing choices. Which was so helpful and told me to get things that I would never have bought on my own. Makeup and photos are done in 2 separate locations and both were very easy to find. My hair won't hold a curl to save its life but the curls stayed!! Once I arrived to the second location JP was so professional and went over everything with me and what to expect. I've been following these two fabulous gems for a few years now......and what was supposed to be done 3 Years ago for my 40th birthday to myself after having 5 kids.....turned into a long wait because I had to cancel cause of covid, and then cold feet and self doubt, like I need to lose weight, I'm too fat, and that voice in my head telling me maybe u should wait....until a few months ago, I started realizing we need to love ourselves no matter what......and so I've been on this journey of doing things that make me happy, and learning to love myself again. From the moment I arrived to get my hair and makeup done I was soooo nervous, but Rosie, she made me feel comfortable and we was talking story the whole entire time, Love what she did to my hair and makeup, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Then it was time to go to the location for the shoot..... I arrived nervous and unsure on what type of photos I was gonna take. But let me tell you ladies....... JP is absolutely AMAZING at his job, he made me feel comfortable, so much so I was like ok let's go!!!!! From the kitchen counter, to the bedroom, to the couch, to the shower...... Complete gentleman and amazing at telling you how to pose, where to place your hands, face, neck, legs, feet.... Ladies don't wait, BOOK IT NOW!!!!! If your feeling scared, DON'T BE!!!!! Hands down, NO questions asked... THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! (Here we go....) I've been following JP for over 7 years now, shortly right after my divorce of 15 years. Yes, I wanted to do a revenge photo shoot. JP asked then what kind of shoot I wanted. Slightly intimidated and still coming out of that shell... I said.. "Umm, maybe a sexy lingerie, soft, subtle boudoir shoot." Not quite sure how much revenge you can get outta that. Soo, literally, years past as I continue to follow and drool over all the new shoots JP has taken. Every year, JP texts me to see if I'm ready for the shoot... no, not yet, I wanna lose some more weight, saving up money, blah, blah, blah.... JP holds his first #MomToModel contest for 2023 on IG. Is this the time?? I stayed up all night and tagged everyone on my IG list, from A to Z! I think I caught his attention Guess what!?!? I was one of the WINNERS!! This year, I turned 45. Scheduled the photoshoot a week after my birthday I had under 60 days to prepare myself. Two months of anticipation Back and forth texts of outfits, shoes, photo inspirations... then it all started to come together. Day of shoot, hecka nervous First met Rosie, sis and I talked story like we knew each other like little girls. Rosie's Spotify mixx was on point (took me back to those days). Then shengot quiet...Glam time...Make-up and hair. Talk about looking like a Asian Barie Doll Breath taking once she revealed my look. Now, off to the location....meet JP, and as nervous as I was, this big teddy bear of a guy, just made me feel soo comfortable and at ease. Game planned the "outfit changes" and then started off with a few photos to break the ice As the photo shoot went on, I became more and more relaxed. JP is total professional. Help with all the outfit changes, made sure all the straps and chains were positioned correctly, and posed me in the most flattering positions. Four scenes later...and it was over. I can't believe how fast it went! As I was packing all my things, JP asked how I felt about the photo shoot.... and then I begin to ball out crying . Good, happy tears, tho. I had my first shoot with JP last weekend! It has been something that I've wanted to do for a long time and was finally presented the opportunity! I opted for the package without hair and makeup as I was on a budget and had other resources. JP was waiting outside upon my arrival where I followed him into the house for a short tour and discussed our ideas. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! I felt completely at ease the entire time, JP was very attentive and considerate ensuring my comfortability, and the shoot moved very fluidly from start to finish. There were so many factors holding me back from taking the plunge but, I'm grateful for my partner's encouragement and JP angles expertise! I was so nervous setting up my shoot with JP - I pretty much never have my photo taken. The last time I had pictures professionally taken was my senior photos more than 20 years ago!! To say I was a ball of nerves when I showed up for hair and makeup is a massive understatement! From the moment I met Rosie I felt so welcomed and at ease. She took such good care of me making sure my hair and makeup were done to absolute perfection! When she did the reveal I could hardly believe the woman in the mirror was me! Then I headed over to the location to meet JP and he immediately put me at ease and had me laughing and joking while we talked about the plan for the shoot. The whole time I felt so comfortable and the hours just flew by while we went through multiple outfit, shoe and location changes. I left feeling sexy, confident and beautiful - certainly not what my insecure self from earlier expected!! Then came the time for the photo reveals...and just WOW. Is that even me?! I never thought I could look and feel so sexy and confident in photos but JP has such a talent for bringing that out and photographing what HE sees not what you see. Wow! If I could post my experience with just one word. That would be it. Just "wow"! I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend for Valentines Day. He is away at military training and we haven't seen each other for months. I wanted to send him photos of me.... I wanted it to be special, professional, tastefully sexy and provocative (but not pornography provocative). I was really nervous about participating in a photo session like this. Especially because I am self-conscious about my body, face, legs, belly... posing... just everything. I browsed through several photographers websites and the reason I picked this company was not only for their before and after photos! But their reviews portrayed their company as being professional and "comfortable". I also loved the idea that this is a family business. His wife Rosie turned me into a super model with her magic makeup brush! haha I absolutely loved the whole experience. First you start with hair and makeup. Rosie did an amazing job on my makeup. As Rosie did my makeup, she talked a little about herself, JP, their family and of course she played some old school jams!!! This helped to calm my nerves about the whole photoshoot. After hair and makeup was done, you drive out to the photoshoot location, which they will give you directions to, on the day of. As soon as I got to the photoshoot location, I got really nervous again. JP introduced himself and showed me around the location. If you knew my profession.... I'm not supposed to show fear. I think he could tell I was extremely nervous. JP explained the whole process, his ideas for the photoshoot and the entire time he really made the focus on me. JP was professional and complimentary. JP made me feel beautiful in front of the camera and comfortable even with the back bending poses to get the right angle. Mentally, he made me feel comfortable and beautiful in my skin. I later got the proofs and the final photos. I am still in disbelief that the sexy woman in the photos is me!!! Needless to say, my boyfriend LOOOOOOVES the photos. He won't shut up about it (and I haven't even showed him the risque ones yet!). Lets just say he's super super super excited to come home :) I'm already planning to do another photoshoot soon!!!! JP and Rosie really make the entire process amazing. I've had print and editorial modelling experience, but the 3 boudoir shoots that I'd booked in the past were always underwhelming (skin lightened, photos unfocused or overly softened, photographers didn't highlight the best qualities that I specifically mentioned and wanted in my shots). JP listened to my very specific and extensive wants and highlights, and Rosie customised my makeup just right so I still felt like the best version of me, rather than a stranger I'm not happy with in my photos. Additionally, I have sensitive skin and fragrance allergies that I'd communicated in advance, and JP and Rosie coordinated makeup and hair products (and even new sheets!) with me in advance so I could spend the shoot non-sniffly and allergy-free! Rosie is magic with makeup and *such* a sweetheart. We talked about family, culture, dancing, kids, and all kinds of things during the session, and she regularly checked in to make sure nothing was irritating my skin or eyes. Most importantly, JP was incredibly friendly and easy to work with, professional, but also not shy about getting some more sexy and edgy shots that I wanted, for which I felt I'd been shamed or discouraged by other photographers in the past. All body positivity, all my best angles, *excellent* attention to lighting and shadows to highlight curves and musculature, and even catching tiny details like a tag sticking out or pointing my toes for better lines and muscle engagement. I'm so happy with the depth and composition of these photos. Instead of feeling like boring or standard shots, there is so much depth and textural interest in these shots. I had my budoir photo shoot w/ JP about a couple months ago. Let me tell you. That 8 day wait time for my pics was the longest 8 days of my life!!! I had a blast with Rosie, his wife, while she did my makeup. She made me feel so comfortable and then when that reveal happened.....OMG! I could not believe that was me! Then my shoot w/ JP....he seriously makes magic happen! My pictures are just so freaking amazing! I still look at them on the daily. And ladies (oh and gentlemen too), just a disclaimer that this experience will totally get you in the mood (OMG, did I just say that???!!!) My only gripe? I had the BEST experience with Rosie and JP. I had heard of JP and saw his photos on social media but never thought I could do something like that. After much encouragement from my husband and him basically just booking it for me as a gift for himself , I did it. And to be honest I initially dreaded it. I saw those pictures of those ladies and they looked so beautiful and sexy and I didn't feel that that was me or something I could pull off. I was very anxious leading up to the day of the shoot. The moment I met Rosie to do my hair and makeup I was immediately put at ease. She just has this positive, warm, and friendly vibe. On the daily I'm a tinted sunscreen and some lipstick and go kind of girl so I told her I didn't want too dramatic makeup. And WOW, she is truly an artist. My hair and makeup was so beautiful. And JP was just as amazing as Rosie. I felt so comfortable with him and trusted his vision and direction and the pictures came out so much more beautiful and sexy and classy than I could have imagined or hoped for. From beginning to end JP and Rosie were the absolute best. They are number one in the business for a reason. I have been thinking of doing boudoir photos for a while and even have it on my bucket list, so I decided to suck it up and just go for it and scheduled a week after my 40th birthday.  On the day if the shoot I was anxious and not gonna lie a little afraid not knowing what to expect, that was until I met Rosie, JP's wife and MUA. She has the gift of gab, great eye for makeup and eased the anxiousness away with her Ms Aloha attitude and before I knew it, it was time to drive to the location. Doing a boudoir puts you in a vulnerable space and JP did a fantastic job coaching me into poses that made me feel empowered and confident and most importantly comfortable without any awkwardness. He is a constant professional that has an eye for detail, knows how to accentuate your curves and disguise any flaws that you think you have. It's an experience that everyone should have at least once in their life.
